Well, when it comes to light reading, it's not your cup of tea, cuz it's very engaging and immersive.
You'll feel as though you're in the story yourself and thus when s*it happens that you don't like, some take it personal. 🤡
So, at the beginning, everyone loves it. When it doesn't then suit you, the greater the love, the greater the resulting hate.🤡
fell off after Antarctica and 50 chapter of either rain or a memories of someone cassie captured,- i felt like this is not a story for the mc anymore , the fight between the sovereigns was too short , it's funny a memory of some guy have 50 chapter and the fight like 15-18? , there is no real danger with mc anymore like first nightmare, or Antarctica. a wasted potential if you asked me
the first nightmare was all it took for me to get hooked, its got great potential the power system is unique, mc's got a cool a*s name what more can a person want in a novel 😋😋
I have never been as obssessed with anything as much as I am with Shadow Slave and I intend to have a tattoo of it, my first one. That's all I need to say about the quality in this novel in my eyes.
It is not perfect, of course, but it is charming in every single way.
okay so shadow slave totally ruined me in the best way like i read it a while ago and it still lives in my head rent free sunny was actually one of the most feral and broken main characters ever and i loved him for it like he started as a literal nobody a slave with no future and somehow ended up becoming this terrifying genius shadow boy who just kept getting stronger and more unhinged and the way he survived everything with pure rage sarcasm and three braincells working overtime was actually iconic the world was so dark and detailed like the whole nightmare realm concept the dreamscapes the monsters all of it felt so fresh and cool and the tension never let up not even once the characters too omg nephis was cold silent deadly wife material and cassie was such a sweet powerful cinnamon roll who could also see the freaking future and the dynamic between sunny and nephis had me screaming like pls just confess already the slowburn was real also the story had so much pain like actual emotional damage i was out here laughing and crying and gasping all at once and i miss that chaos so much even now i still think about certain arcs and scenes and quotes like it was that good shadow slave wasn’t just a story it was a full experience and i lowkey don’t know how to recover from it still would totally reread and get wrecked again no regrets
Growing up in poverty, Sunny never expected anything good from life. However, even he did not anticipate being chosen by the Nightmare Spell and becoming one of the Awakened
– an elite group of people gifted with supernatural powers.
Transported into a ruined magical world, he found himself facing against terrible monsters
– and other Awakened
– in a deadly battle of survival.
What's worse, the divine power he received happened to possess a small, but potentially fatal side effect…
If someone likes anime then this is a perfect entry into reading webnovels. This novel is almost perfect except for one thing. The amount of filler it has. To be honest the filler is also quite good that some times you don't even notice its filler but the latest arcs almost have 200 chapters or pure filler but to be honest I don't mind wasting my time I like seeing them do fun stuff but if thats not for you then that might be a deal breaker.
I want to give this a perfect score but don't know what to say.
Daddy Nephis in Bunny Suit?
Mommy Sunny in Maid Outfit?
Daughter Mordret in Swimsuit? ok this is making me cringe hard
I fuking love this. Even though this is my first webnovel I never regretted starting it tbh. Ss is the reason I got into the world of webnovels. And i started reading it cause of a yt shorts lol
so fire, love tis' novel, fun read, would reccomend, it's great although be warned, if you read this book as a starter novel, you will find yourself comparing other novels to this, and inevitably bring dissapointed (unless it's a masterpiece like LoTM)
