This novel is actually one of the best there are. The only reason why it's not 5 stars with me is that the type of story doesnt really resonate with me (this is the only victoria era novel i've read and steam punk and god centered) those are thjngs I typically dislike and there are some arcs that has caused me to take a break.
it's the kind of novel that doesnt really suck you in - instead its like a mountain to climb, where you'll only appreciate it once youve reached the summit and appreciate the trail the author made. In contrast to a novel that feels like falling into a deeper and deeper hole because of how addicting it is.
Absolute Masterpiece, great story, great worldbuilding, really good foreshadowing and very likeable characters. A must read for everyone who likes magic and the mysterious
If you want an intricate world-building story try this. As well as the power system within the story is so unique that'll get you hooked on what will be the next level on to the next chapters. Cool MC development and characters are relatable. NO ROMANCE. High Fantasy. 5/5 Recommendation.
Truly one of the best novels to grace any online site. The way it insinutates the palette but leaves you wanting you more; In case you have any hesitation in reading this, I am saddened to say that your doubts are well founded as it will be quite difficult to feel the same mental stimulation from reading this novel. Do you enjoy mature relatable characters? Do like to immerse yourself and weave yourself into adventure? Brim yourself from the toe to capful of wonder? If yes, then this novel is for you. The setting is a steampunk very original mysticism fusion world ( actually loosely based of some old school of thought and occult/mystic beliefs, yes some of this is based of real practices e.g, tarot cards, astrology, tree of life, kabblah and touches on some psychology- Sigmund freud & Carl Jung). Characters - heart of the novel to complete the body, need I say more? Plot - Touched a little in the setting: this is a transmigration novel of a chinese student 'Zhou Mingrui' who is suddenly transported to a new unfamiliar world and using the power he has mysterious obtained must uncover the hidden truths spread throughout history and consolidate a force against ****. There's nothing else to say. A personal favourite of mine and many others. Note- Under NO CIRCUMSTANES should you read the wiki OR skip of trivial things, it's the type of novel that weaves together sprinkled ideas into one big thing> Happy Reading
This story is peak in every way except romance but remember this before starting. This is a mystery novel, the start will feel slow to get the world building rolling and the fights aren't like xianxia, they won't split mountains and part rivers atleast not in the first half of the story. I am saying this cause I wanted drop it at the beginning after people compared it to reverend insanity but these two are in different genres and shouldnt be compared. So keep that in mind and read while remembering everything as the author hints at events hundreds of chapters before.
Awesome story, I especially like the power system. One of my actual favorite aspects of the story is how it contrasts the extreme poverty many people find themselves in with the decadence and disregard the nobles present themselves with. Its something you dont really see anywhere else, certainly not in other web novels.
its peak id give it 5/5 but I want Reverend insanity to be rated the highest
sorry hehe
I do like Klein the the world but I have to glaze myt goat :(((
This story was just beautiful. The beginning was a bit rough I will not lie, but that's because I wasn't used to the advanced words shown. Once you actually start to get used to these words it gets WAY better. The lore drops at the perfect time, The Fool, the side characters, the back story, history, just everything felt to perfect. I actually felt like I was in the book and experiencing the history. The novel just feels to perfect to be true and the different arcs are just blended beautifully.
10/10 would love to recommend this as atleast a third story. Can't get the new gens to start off with this level of peak. (Yes I'm new gen)
Praise the fool.
the best novel i have ever read.
the world building and lore was amazing.
it is a bit slow at the start and then the fights and actions starts after it
PEAK,
I have been holding off on giving a review since I wanted to reread it before doing so but I just have to contribute in the ratings, I'm probably gonna give a proper one after i reread so let me yap a few words that might get you into it
The power system had me amazed, 22 pathways and the potions, the laws it was all so intriguing, the amount of characters that could have their own story is insane, the world building was great, city of silver, the maps, CF is a descriptive author, while some people don't like the yap on the surroundings, I enjoy the details, you can skim through if you are not a fan, Klein bullshits his way through but then if you think about it, it all just comes together, Tarot club meetings are one of my favourites had me reading to the next one pulling all nighters, the beginning might come off as slow but I advise people to read till the end of volume 1, the information dump we are given is for our own good, we may never understand things later, I hope this at least got one person to read it
Praise the fool 🙏
