Chapter 27: Chapter 27-Speed up, they are losing breath!

After filling her stomach, she noticed her body was fully healed, she moved her shoulders and was pleasantly surprised that there wasn’t any numbing pain.

’’Was I self-healing?’’ she muttered, stretching her muscles. She felt strangely energetic. She quickly checked her level, and she didn’t upgrade.

They watched her movements, smiling at her cuteness. Eva felt their gaze and instinctively touched her face and hair. ’Do I have something on my face? Mm, no, it’s still smooth.’ She frowned when she felt her messy hair.

She shot the culprit a glare. Julian raised his brows at her sudden glare. ’’What? I know I’m handsome; there’s no need to feel jealous about it,’’ Julian teased, caressing his chin like he was marvelling at his handsomeness.

Eva’s brows wrinkled at his words but seeing his Greek god-sculptured face, she couldn’t say anything bad about it. She glanced all over him and couldn’t see anything to pick on.

She huffed and snorted as she sat. ’Who made him handsome?’ Julian chuckled at her defeated expression and felt refreshed. Ethan’s lips curled up slightly in a smile.

They settled into a comfortable silence with some killing at night, the air grew fainter, and they could all feel it. Fear drove some to attack without waiting for anybody to sleep.

Eva’s team ignored their actions only killing the blind ones who came to attack them. It was as if the fear of suffocation clouded their mind and they forgot Ethan and Julian’s power.

-Day 3-

The remaining survivors were sprawled on the ground, their eyes dazed, their chests tightened from the lack of air.

They couldn’t muster any strength to move, Eva and the rest weren’t faring better. Eva’s face was flushed, her chest falling and rising breathing heavily as sweat slid down her body.

Her vision doubled as she stared at the rocks; she was too weak to move a muscle, the same for Julian and Ethan. They lay on the ground as their energy drained, their chest tightening painfully.

Gone was the liveliness; instead, terror grew over everyone as their body weakened. ’I didn’t get to enjoy this world. At least I will die without turning into a zombie.’ Her thoughts drifted as her eyes closed gradually.

From the slit of her eyes, she saw looming figures, with glowing crystals approaching. She felt herself being lifted before darkness claimed her.

’’Speed up, they are losing breath!’’ a sharp voice barked orders, as men dragged the remaining survivors out of the shaky space gate. Outside, three space power users poured out their powers to keep the gate open.

The closest city, City G was where they dragged everyone. There weren’t enough space users powerful enough for long-distance travel without the help of the space cable.

Getting the last of the out, their air-deprived survivors sucked in the air greedily. Their tightened chest was released and they could breathe easily.

After some minutes passed, Ethan and Julian woke up, their eyes calm; this wasn’t the first time they were on the brink of death. They sat up, watching the sight of unconscious figures lying around them in a fur ground. Their eyes immediately darted around for Eva’s figure.

But no signs of her; they quickly stood and searched around, searching for that familiar green hair, but as time flew by, the heart sank further. ’Where is she?’

"Did you see a green-haired petite woman?’’ Julian stopped a uniformed man; his hands grasped the man tightly, causing the man to groan from pain.

’’Man, calm down. We brought everyone out. The person might be here somewhere.’’ The man answered calmly, trying to release his hands from Julian’s hold.

’’Julian let’s go!’’ Ethan barked before changing into a beast, his blue eyes filled with coldness but hidden in its depths were fear and urgency.

In a wolf form, he sniffed the air for her scent, getting a whiff of it, his paws thundered on the ground as he ran. Julian followed along, his speed matched Ethan’s. They hoped they would reach her on time.

Meanwhile, Eva was placed on a bed, a shadow loomed before her. The shadow stepped into the crystal glow. The tall man ogled her body inch by each, his eyes flashing with predatory lust, a twisted smile curling his lips.

’’What good catch today...high quality.’’ Muttering to himself, he leaned over and creased Eva’s head gently, licking his lips in anticipation.

There was already a bulge rising in his pants, but he suppressed himself. Going over to a box, he opened it up, various syringes filled with liquid gleamed ominously under the crystal light.

He picked one up, but glancing at her green hair, he added four syringes with the same content.

Moving over to Eva, he shot the entire syringes into her system. Eva felt a sting on her arm, ’’mm..’’ she groaned, her eyes fluttering open. Her eyes darted around in a daze, her mind clouded in a haze. ’’W-what...’’ she weakly trailed off, her tongue was too heavy to move.

’’You are awake.’’ The man’s tone was filled with surprise, he didn’t expect the sleeping potion to wear off. The aphrodisiac syringe would kick in ten minutes.

’’w-who..’’ Eva’s blurry vision saw a hazy figure; she felt an urge to throw up. She moved weakly to the edge. Her surroundings spun, sending a sharp pain through her skull and churning her stomach.

’’Don’t struggle.’’ The man whispered patiently and moved her back into the bed forcefully. Eva felt her stomach churn painfully. She absorbs the energy in the air to feel better.

’’Tsk. You shouldn’t have done that.’’ He clicked his tongue in pity but his gaze was anything but. He moved over to her, climbing over, staring down at her with appreciation.

Eva’s mind cleared up a bit, and she saw an unfamiliar man in front of her; at first, she thought she was back in her world.

Thinking the man wanted to bash her zombie brain open, but when she saw his disgusting gaze she instantly knew what kind of situation she was in.

She tried to move away but she felt a weird sensation overcoming her body. Her breath came out in pants, her cheeks flushing abnormally.

’’what did... you do... to me.’’ Her tone turned sultry, her green eyes glazed over.

The man said nothing watching in interest as the drug worked its wonders.

It was impossible to cure this without having sex. The energy she absorbed earlier only accelerated the drug’s effects.

’’Beg me. And the itch would all go away.’’ He said in a gentle tone, as his finger caressed her face.
