Chapter 909: Chapter 26 Tonight Homes

As they entered the grand entrance of Tonight Homes, they were greeted by a lavishly decorated hall that sparkled with brilliance. Over a dozen Crystal Energy lamps embedded in the ceiling illuminated the entire room as brightly as daylight. The hall’s walls and columns were clad with golden tiles that shimmered under the light. The floor of the hall was carpeted in red, the thick, soft carpet with long fibers engulfed the surfaces of their shoes, making it feel as though they were stepping on clouds. In the center of the hall, eight attractive uniformed women in long dresses stood in two rows, and upon seeing the five members of the adventure team enter, they simultaneously revealed radiant, beautiful smiles, neatly lifted their skirts to curtsey, and in eight different yet equally melodious voices, they greeted the newcomers, making anyone who heard them feel instantly fond of them.

Although the two welcoming attendants at the door had not followed them inside, it seemed they had already notified the interior through other channels. The two women at the forefront directly approached the group of five with comforting smiles and said simultaneously, "Mr. Pannis and the ladies, welcome to Tonight Homes. This place will surely provide you with unforgettable memories. Please follow me; I am Mary (Jessica), and I will guide you to your seats for tonight."

"Thank you," Catherine responded, somewhat surprised. Both women were impeccable in appearance, voice, and etiquette, but what was most astonishing was their coordination when speaking. The two girls spoke at the same time, yet their voices did not sound chaotic, and there was no echo even when speaking simultaneously. Their pronunciation overlapped perfectly; the pitch and volume were almost exactly the same, and had she closed her eyes, it would have been hard to believe that it was actually two people talking at once. Achieving such synchronization, even for just a single greeting, must have required extensive training. It was hard to believe that just attendants responsible for guiding in an entertainment venue had to be trained to such an extent, considering this was just a place described by Mr. Pannis as targeting middle to upper-level guests. It was unimaginable what would be required for venues catering to the top-tier clientele.

The two long-dressed girls led the way with swaying figures, pushing open the door at the end of the hall that led to the inner field. Behind the door was a vast auditorium with a large stage at one end. A full orchestra sat at the back of the stage, their instruments blending together to play a melodious tune with a hint of seduction. At the forefront of the stage, about a dozen dancers with lithe figures, draped in sheer dancing gowns, twisted their slender waists and danced gracefully to the music. The Crystal Energy lamps above cast dozens of beams of light from various angles onto the stage, making the dancers the most conspicuous focal point of the whole venue.

Beneath the stage was a fan-shaped area, terraced downwards. Near the stage, on seven or eight tiers, each tier had several tea tables laid out, laden with various fruits. High-backed, soft chairs surrounded the tea tables on three sides, hiding the actions of the guests from most directions; only the tops of their heads visible from the high-backed chairs indicated that these spots were occupied with one to four male guests each, surrounded by several women. If one could see the attire of these women, it would be clear that they were slightly revealing, and these specially designed outfits were intended to provoke a certain arousal in the guests.

On the steps farther from the stage were several relatively enclosed boxes. Through the windows of these boxes, one could see that some of the guests inside were just like those below—uninterested in the stage performance, thus opting for a more private room, while a few others had brought female companions for the mere purpose of enjoying the refined services and the ambiguous atmosphere. Of course, they might have other unspoken motives as well.

Continuing up the staircase, they observed various patrons. On one tea table, two accompanying women with saccharine smiles each poured a bottle of champagne into a small bucket filled with ice. The only male guest at this seat was flushed from alcohol, laughing heartily as he hugged the two women on either side. He watched as they filled the small bucket with golden liquid. He then casually pulled out two money pouches from his pocket and tossed them on the tea table. With the champagne bottles now empty and under the expectant gaze of the four ladies, the male guest picked up the ice bucket and gulped down the two bottles of champagne in one go, slamming the bucket back on the table. Amidst the ladies’ playful, complaining laughter, he kissed each of the women pouring the drinks deeply on the neck, satisfyingly picked up the money pouches from the table, pretending to put them back into his pocket but instead twirling them in the air at the last moment and tossing them back into the arms of the two women. The women instinctively hugged the money pouches, screamed with delight, and threw themselves into the guest’s arms to offer wild kisses, causing the man to burst into carefree laughter, his expression filled with self-satisfaction.

"These people..." Catherine sighed deeply, wanting to say something but ended up saying nothing, only helplessly shaking her head. Suddenly, the ears of the knight girl twitched, and she instinctively turned her head to one side. After she had turned, the other girls barely heard the sound of coins hitting the ground in the distance.

It was a male guest who seemed to have had a bit too much to drink. He grabbed a handful of coins from his pocket and laughed maniacally as he scattered them on the coffee table in front of him. Several women at his side screamed and lunged forward, bending over the coffee table and the floor to pick up the coins one by one while he watched the slender backs of the girls bending over, his laughter growing louder.

"Calm down, calm down." Pannis was very foresighted and had already firmly held onto Catherine’s shoulders, preventing her from rushing towards the coins. Catherine could only turn back and look at Pannis with a pitiful expression, her voice almost crying, "I could have grabbed them all the moment he threw them out."

"Then you would be robbing him," Pannis said, rolling his eyes. "Even if he threw them out, those are still his coins. You really need to stay calm and not go grabbing them."

"This kind of person is absolutely detestable," Catherine said through gritted teeth, glaring at the man who was still laughing triumphantly in the distance. "Not treating coins as coins, it’s a disgrace to humans. I should represent humanity and punish him."

"Alright, alright, disgrace, it’s a disgrace," Pannis gestured for the two ladies leading the way to quicken their steps, pushing Catherine like pacifying a child, and they escaped into the booth assigned to them like they were running away.
