Chapter 133
"Hey, hey, Love," Kraig grabbed her wrist, "Love, Love, look at me, stop crying. Did I lie? About what? Tell me, I can explain it to you." He whispered to her and held her wrists close to him for her not to cover her face. "Love, tell me- I can explain it to you, alright?" She sobbed and looked at him.
"T-the pancake." Kraig paused, ’The pancake? She was crying for a pancake?’ He thought. ’So, she just really wanted to make them fight?’ Kraig was not sure if he should laugh at this silliness.
"...yes, okay, it was salty, but it was good, okay?" He reassured her with a tender smile, "Why cry? Is that something to cry about?" Pulling her hands to wrap it around again at his torso, he bent his head and bit her ear, "You’re such a drama queen, do you know that?" He chuckled and brushed her hair. "Stop crying."
"B-but I deliberately put salt on it, many, many salts on i-it." She said in between her hiccups, Kraig raised his brow.
"What do you mean?"
"Because I r-read about a book... it said that, if I do that I will know if my... lover will lie to me or be frank with me. And you l-lied, and that means you will always l-lie to me." She fastened her hug on him and sobbed on his chest.
’What? What did he just hear?’ Kraig was confused. Were all girlfriends as quirky as his girlfriend? Why would she even read those kinds of bullshit books?
"That’s bullshit." Kraig snarled, "Show me that book and I will burn it. Where did you even get that?" He asked with a hint of irritation on his tone but caressed her cheeks caringly. Wiping the tears away. "And why are you even reading something like that?" She didn’t answer again and kept on sobbing. "Nowadays, you keep on looking for a fight."
"I don’t,"
"You do, why would you intentionally cook that horrendous pancake and cry if I choose to praise you?"
"So, it was horrendous..." her lips trembled and Kraig saw another batch of tears falling.
Kraig closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "That book is bullshit." He said to her, he cupped her face and looked into her eyes. She tried to look away again but he forced her to look at him. "Repeat after me, the - book - is - bullshit." He softly told her and she pressed her lips in response.
"Love, say it."
"Y-you want me to cuss?" She asked innocently and Kraig paused again. "You said it’s not suitable for me." He smiled and pondered her lips.
"Damn, why are you so cute?" He asked breathlessly and kissed her again. When he was satisfied, he brushed her hair to her ears. "Don’t believe anyone or anything when it comes to us. Just believe me, I will never do anything to ruin us." He uttered, "and I will always believe you too."
"Even if I tell you a lie?" She said and held to his hand that was holding her cheeks.
Kraig halted and smiled at her, a lie? Can she even lie to him? Her eyes were so transparent, she was like an open book for him. He could always read her easily despite there being occasional moments when he couldn’t understand her at all. But she is a woman, and women are complicated. He guesses it was normal to be unreadable sometimes.
"Yes, I will believe it, even if it is a lie." He mumbled to her and she sighed.
"So, you prefer sugar-coated lies after all," Yanarym muttered and sighed again, Kraig kept on smiling even though he didn’t understand what that sighing meant. "But I would like to tell you the truth."
"The truth?" She nodded her head as he was cupping her face. "What truth?" She bit her lips suppressing the emotions in her eyes. They stayed silent for minutes.
"When I fell in love with you, I was happy." She whispered.
Kraig creased his brows upon hearing her. ’Past tense? Why was she using the past tense? Where was this heading?’
"When you started to ignore me, I was angry." She gulped and Kraig could feel the tension on her body. She sniffed a few times and the dried tears swelled again. "W-when y-you chose h-her... I w-was sad."
"Love." Kraig couldn’t listen anymore, why were they talking about this now? "Stop crying already," he whispered to her and kissed her forehead. "I will not leave you again, I promise." She shook her head and brushed his hands off her face.
"Wh-when y-you broke me, I w-wanted to hurt y-you the s-same you d-did to me." She gasped for air and abruptly embraced his body. "B-but I-I c-can’t, I can’t hurt you." Kraig was surprised at first but later smiled and brushed her hair. "I-in the fu-future, p-please forgive me for lying to you."
"Alright, whatever lie is that, or whatever things that you did to hurt me. I will forgive you, so stop crying now." She didn’t stop crying. Kraig sighed and carried her body off the ground. "If you won’t stop, then I will make you cry in pleasure." He said naughtily and laid her on the sofa.
"K-kraig! I’m serious!" She sobbed and kicked him as he kneeled on the floor while his upper body was at her top. "S-stop this." Kraig gulped and stared at her teary eyes before kissing her lips.
"I’m serious too, Love. I rather see you crying beneath me while loving you than ’this’." He whispered to her ears and nibbled her earlobes before spreading her knees apart. "You can cry louder now." He grinned at her.
"L-love please d-don’t ... " she stuttered and stopped crying. She peered at him like an angel with her rose-like cheeks and enticing eyes. Kraig was enthralled.
"What did you call me?" He asked, smiling from ear to ear. He let go of her knees and crawled to level their faces.
"Love." She uttered again, and Kraig bit his lips as he felt his stomach being attacked by bugs.
"Say it again." He whispered to her and embraced her body. She blushed to her ears and complied. "Love." Kraig chuckled.
"I feel weird," Kraig mumbled to her and she looked at him with asking eyes. "Well, it’s not weird because it’s a normal emotion but---I was never this happy, you know..."
"Don’t say it like that, you’re making me cry again." Kraig pulled her tighter and kissed her forehead.
"Thank you, Rym, for making me feel weirdly happy."
Kraig was awakened from his nostalgia when he felt another excruciating scorching sensation in his stomach. He quickly looked at Yanarym’s back and saw another black spot appearing. He raised the hem of her dress and washed that quoko off to her body. He was gritting his teeth as his hand felt skinned from touching the black spot but he didn’t budge and kept on rubbing that area of her back while pouring holy water on it. When it disappeared, he sighed in relief.
He looked around and the serenity enveloped the vicinity. He saw a white orb dancing in the air, going in their direction. Specifically, to Yanarym’s direction. He creased his brows and tried to shoo it away but it only fell on Yanarym’s body then disappeared, fearing that it was another curse. Kraig washed that area thoroughly.
When he was satisfied he fixed her posture and embraced her again like before. Matteo told him that this place had a different time frame from reality.
If Lyndon and Matteo were gone for a week, in reality, that would be an hour passed. Today was his and Yanarym’s fifth day on the spring mountain. He was delighted to spend time with her here for a long time. If only she was awake, he would be a lot more delightful.
After a few hours of sitting on the spring with her, he had to go to the restroom and leave her for a minute. When he returned he saw Yanarym being carried by Matteo in his arms.
"You’re back," Kraig approached them with the apparent discontent of seeing her held by someone else. However, Kraig could not refute or object, after all, the only person who can save her was that man who claimed to be a God. "Did you find Tiana?" No one threw a glance at Kraig.
Matteo and Lyndon’s eyes fixated on Yanarym.
"Why isn’t she waking up?" Lyndon asked and caressed her cheeks. Matteo frowned seeing how casual Lyndon was touching her.
Matteo knew about Yanarym’s relationship with Lyndon, yet, he only saw her being romantic with Kraig. Seeing how familiar Lyndon was with treating her, Matteo thought that they were very intimate to each other as well.
He could often smell this man’s scent to her body whenever she goes home. It’s annoying because it’s either of these two men scent that would greet Matteo once she stepped in the house. He can’t believe that the three of them are here together for her.
