Chapter 387: § COULD CRY §

Chapter 134

Matteo wanted to give applause to Yanarym. How could she make three men—including him, love her this much? And each time they’ve been together, Matteo never felt cheated. He was so fulfilled and content being with her. To the point, it was very surprising for him to be in this situation even though he knew that it was not only him.

It was just that, at this certain moment, he could see how much these other men love her. And he felt threatened, he felt uneasy—he always thought he was an absolute person.

Yet, this time, he was just another man in love with her.

Just another one of her men...

He may be a god but thoughts of insecurities rage into his mind; did he love her right? Was he good enough? How was he different from these men? Did she like him more than these two? If she wakes up—would she keep her relationship with him or would she choose only one of them?

He knows that she doesn’t love anyone. She’s heartless. Still...

Matteo was frightened by the thought that she would pick one but not him. And he couldn’t do anything if she did that...

Fact and fate, that she is always bound to be in love with a human, not to him. He was merely interjecting, he was forcing himself into this scenario when in reality, he should not be here. He pulled her body away from Lyndon and glared at him, "She will wake up, for now, she needs her body back on the realm." Matteo uttered coldly before shifting the space back into her room and closing it.

"Wait! Is it safe to get back here? The quoko—" Kraig suddenly realized that they were back in the real world, he worried that a black spot would appear and devour her.

"She’s safe, Tiana is dead," Lyndon assured Kraig as he watched Matter lay Yanarym to her bed. Kraig turned to him with a surprised expression.

"...she’s dead?" He uttered in disbelief. "How did she die? You killed her?" Kraig asked Lyndon, looked at him, and frowned.

With Kraig’s tone, he was like condemning him and Matteo for saving Yanarym’s life. Typical hypocrite, Kraig thought that he was always a good person. If he was too worried about Tiana then he shouldn’t be here with Yanarym, he should be with Tiana instead.

"Yes, there was no other way," Lyndon said grimly. "It’s either Rym or her would live, you should have come with us to see how crazy she was." He added and looked at Yanarym. He remembered what Tiana said, that Yanarym was Mia’s reincarnation.

He knew those identities, Francis and Mia— because they were his ancestors. At the very top of their family tree was Francis and Mia’s lineage. He was one of their descendants. Although it feels impossible to become a descendant of the legend, he had no choice but to believe because the fact that Tiana was Azkin—was hard to believe too yet it was all real.

Lyndon shifted his eyes to Matteo, he heard it before that heaven sent a powerful person to deliver the message that Azkin would be reincarnated and there was a high possibility that she would be one of this town’s citizens. That person would stay on Xleyl until Azkin showed up and ascended to heaven. With that, the curse would no longer be inherited to Azkin’s Town, and the people would be living normally like how the rest of the world lives.

And that powerful person, Lyndon was certain, it was Matteo. He was here to accompany Azkin back to where she belonged. Yet, why was he still here? Because of Yanarym? Would he marry her and bring her to heaven as his wife? Lyndon’s fist clenched. He won’t let that happen but how could he stop it?

"Then, how was- I mean-" Kraig spoke to strengthen his thoughts but his words rumbled. Lyndon turned to him and inhaled sharply. In addition to Matteo, there was still Kraig. And as he remembered, Yanarym told them that they love them both...

Lyndon thought so too, his premonition that she fell in love with Kraig was true. How could she not? Even if Kraig was his enemy, he couldn’t deny that Kraig treated her so well.

Now that the storm had passed and her life was no longer in danger, he couldn’t help thinking what would happen in the future, who would she choose? Will she have Matteo? But she loves him too ... but it was not only him.

"Then, what happened to Tiana? I mean, she died, right? What happened to the soul? Was she dragged to hell?"

"She’s Azkin, Matteo ascends her back to heaven," Lyndon answered nonchalantly, Kraig nodded as if he understood but a second later his eyes widened.

"Yes, she told me about that - wait, that’s right! I forgot she’s your sister!" His eyes redirected from Matteo to Lyndon,

’Azkin? Matteo! How did he forget!?’ But wait again, did Lyndon say they killed Tiana? Then, Matteo was there or he may be the one who killed her... his family?

"... You killed her? Or Matteo killed her?" Kraig uttered and pointed a finger in Matteo’s direction.

"He did," Lyndon bobbed his head. "I was astounded too when he stabbed her heart after she told us that she was Azkin... " he murmured and glanced at Matteo’s direction and remembered the scene of Matteo whispering words to Tiana the next thing was, he pulled a blade and stabbed her without hesitation.

Even though Tiana was coughing blood Matteo kept his apathetic expression. It was as if he was dealing with Tiana as a stranger, not his sister.

The tale was wrong too, Matteo was said to be the one who cared for Azkin the most. Because that was to be the story that Azkin told to Mia and Francis but based on how Matteo attended Tiana—it seemed not to be the case—Matteo seemed to hate Azkin.

"If you want to keep on conversing, it’s best that you do it outside." Matteo’s cold voice rang to their ears.

Lyndon gulped, now that he thinks of it... he never saw Matteo showing any emotion if Yanarym wasn’t around. And despite Lyndon rarely feeling intimidated by anyone, when he was with Matteo outside, he was so intimidated being with him alone.

Matteo didn’t feel human at all, also the way he stared at him was belittling, and Lyndon couldn’t refute that. "Rym might be sleeping for a long time but she’s just getting proper rest now," Matteo said casually but there was a tint of inauspiciousness in it.

"Are you driving us out? Is that what you meant?" Kraig rebutted and creased his brows. "I am not leaving until I see her wake up." Matteo rebuffed him, focused his attention on Yanarym and caressed her cheeks, and tilted his head, and bestowed her a kiss.

It was not a simple kiss, it was sensual--- he’s devouring her! "What are you doing!" Kraig protested but found himself stuck on the floor, paralyzed at his spot. "WHAT--" The next thing he knew his lips were sealed. He couldn’t speak or move- all he could do was watch!

Matteo uplifted Yanarym’s head meeting his lips, he locked their mouths, and even though she wasn’t replying, he was getting more passionate with her. He grunted as he sucked her tongue, he drank her saliva and roamed his free hand to her soaked body. "Hmm..." she moaned in his mouth and started to kiss him back but it was small movements. Matteo gave her time to breathe and stared at her with definite lust in his eyes.

His hand wandered from her stomach to her chest, and her legs. She was still soaked and wearing the thin dress he gave her because she wasn’t wearing any underwear, her pearls were visible in the view. Matteo rested his hand on her waist and licked and sucked her neck and shoulders as she was still panting. When he felt that she was breathing fine, he kissed her lips again, hungrier and aggressive, but still was gentle with his touch.

Lyndon and Kraig were both bewildered, how could Matteo kiss and romance her in front of them like they were not there at all! Was he marking Yanarym?! Kraig’s eyes staggered in anger, he couldn’t believe he’s witnessing another man loving his girlfriend! He was raging anger when he saw Yanarym’s body begin to glow, Matteo didn’t mind and kept on kissing her.

Matteo paused when he felt her hands pushing his chest away. He stopped and looked at her like he was intoxicated... his wet lips were apart to keep himself breathing in this breathless view. She was awake... he gulped and suppressed the emotion he was feeling. Her complexion regained, and the weight she lost came back, it was as if her devastated state just minutes ago were not real.

In his entire life, Matteo never felt so alleviated. Witnessing her open her eyes after such a long time... he could cry.
