Why must the devil be Defeated?
Chapter 541 - 506 Blood Magic Feast

Chapter 541: 506 Blood Magic Feast

Afterward, Shane still ended up acting together with Lide and Milu.

There was no helping it.

Although being conscripted annoyed Shane somewhat, he approved of dealing with the Old Demon Clan Faction, and the matter of fighting Refined Demons.

Even though the Demon Refining Ceremony had already been destroyed, and those remaining Refined Demons, even if they continued attacking others, could no longer devour their victims’ flesh and Magic Power to increase their own abilities, they still held value for being reclaimed by the "Primordial Demon."

As such, Shane and the others had a reason to annihilate these monsters.

Of course, searching for a group of stray fish that had escaped the net in such a vast forest was undoubtedly like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Under this circumstance, aside from Nadura, who could monitor the entire Taiger Forest, probably no one else could accurately locate all the Refined Demons lurking here.

Fortunately, there were methods available.

"Refined Demons are the product of Magic Ceremonies, having long lost their reason, leaving only insanity," Lide said. "They have but one instinct, which is to constantly attack others and devour their flesh and Magic Power to gain greater strength."

Even if the ceremony itself had disappeared, this instinct would still be present in the Refined Demons’ bodies.

"So, they’ll subconsciously attack individuals with massive Magic Power and flesh. As long as you release your Magic Power, regardless of the rest, the surrounding Refined Demons will definitely be attracted to you."

Lide had been using this method to eliminate Refined Demons in the Taiger Forest, and it was also why Milu had been emitting tremendous Magic Power all this time.

Having learned this, Shane immediately liberated his own Magic Power.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by the noise akin to a volcanic eruption, terrifying Magic Power burst forth from within Shane, transforming into a fearsome pillar of energy that shot straight into the sky.

"Roar!"

"Howl!"

"Whimper!"

At that moment, countless demons in Taiger Forest were disturbed.

Some fled in utter terror, while others watched the towering pillar of energy warily, eventually choosing to retreat, causing numerous birds and beasts to stir in the night, leaving the area amidst bustle and commotion.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

Only some ferocious monsters scattered in the forest, sensing that astonishing Magic Power, acted as if provoked, not fleeing but instead converging towards Shane’s location in unison.

Lide and Milu, watching this scene from the closest distance, looking at Shane, whose body was constantly ablaze with terrifying Magic Power and from whom a column of Magic Power surged into the sky, were momentarily stunned.

"He has such astonishing Magic Power?"

Lide was very surprised.

"So awesome!"

Milu’s eyes started to shine.

Both of them were shocked by the terrible Magic Power Shane had unabashedly unleashed.

Originally, Shane, being young yet possessing strength comparable to Legendary fighters, was enough to surprise them. Now that he had released such frightening Magic Power, it would be impossible for Lide and Milu not to be astonished.

"So awesome! Big brother is so awesome, Lide!"

Milu kept rubbing her head against Lide in an excited manner.

"Indeed," Lide frankly acknowledged, gazing at Shane with eyes that flickered slightly, murmuring to herself, "It seems he has hidden quite a lot."

A man noticed by Ai Yi was indeed extraordinary.

Lide realized that Shane might still have something hidden.

"Here they come."

At that moment, Shane, who was squandering Magic Power as if it held no value, made such a remark.

Only then did Milu and Lide notice that, within the surrounding darkness, figures silently appeared.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

The Refined Demons, having lost their reason, one by one entered Shane’s view. While issuing fierce roars, they glared at Shane, as if eyeing a piece of juicy meat.

Unbeknownst to them, Shane looked at them with eyes that saw them as nothing more than chunks of meat.

"Come."

Shane taunted the surrounding Refined Demons, hooking his finger provocatively.

Their disdainful mien enraged the Refined Demons.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

Instantly, countless Refined Demons, like a pack of hunting wolves, burst from the shadows.

At a glance, it appeared as if a plethora of ghostly shadows swooped towards Shane, their speed astoundingly fast.

In response...

"Flying Star!"

With a brief Spell, Shane awakened long-unused Magic.

Suddenly, countless tiny meteors appeared around Shane, transforming into showers of falling stars that, like a violent storm, battered the surroundings.

"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"...

Amidst the barrage of Flying Stars that struck the shadowy figures, the attacking Refined Demons could not even emit a cry of pain before they were all blown away as if struck by lightning.

Some collided with tree trunks, shattering them to pieces, some rolled into bushes, and others even smashed into the ground, stirring up dust clouds, making the vicinity instantly chaotic and ravaged.

With such might, no one would acknowledge that the Magic Shane had used was merely Asphyxiation Magic meant to suppress enemies, which originally had almost no Damage.

But this Magic, in Shane’s hands, had always been quite powerful, and now, with the amplification of "Li Jian Heavenly Destiny," even though Shane had deliberately reduced the Magic Power output, it still displayed a power far more astonishing than before.

Milu and Lide were surprised yet again.

"Stars?"

Milu blinked her eyes.

"Is that Celestial Magic?"

Lide was even more astounded.

Shane paid no heed to the two of them, watching as Refined Demons blasted away by the Flying Star were smashed in all directions, hanging on by a thread, he made his own estimate.

"Even though I’ve reduced the Magic Power output to less than half of what it was before, the power of the Magic has not decreased but increased. If the Magic Power consumed was the same as before, the power of this Magic would have to be at least three times higher, wouldn’t it?"

Shane made such a judgment based on the Magic Power he had expended and the potency of the Magic he had used.

Then...

"I see that my progress in Magic is no less than that in close combat."

Shane felt satisfied with this.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

Whether it was Shane’s unconsciously emerging smile that provoked them or not, the previously dying Refined Demons suddenly let out roars, struggling to rise.

Clearly, even though the power of the Magic had increased, using Asphyxiation Magic with little Damage, and that too Basic Magic, was still somewhat insufficient to kill these Refined Demons.

If that was the case...

"I’ll treat you to a blood-soaked magical feast."

Shane vanished on the spot and appeared in front of a Refined Demon.

"Instant Movement?"

Lide was surprised again.

"Oh!"

Milu’s eyes widened.

But Shane, regardless of the others, reached out a finger and pressed it against the chest of the Refined Demon that hadn’t had time to react.

"Grant·Split."

Magic Power burst from his fingertip, pierced the skin of the Refined Demon, and invaded its body.

"Pfft!"

The next second, following a sound like tearing silk, the Refined Demon’s body split apart, turning into chunks of remains that, along with spurting blood, scattered everywhere.

While Shane had already disappeared from the spot and appeared in front of another Refined Demon, his finger pressed against it.

"Grant·Shattering."

Magic Power surged from between his fingers, piercing the skin of another Refined Demon and invading its body.

"Crack crack crack..."

The Refined Demon’s cries abruptly stopped. Its body trembled, and then cracks appeared all over, turning it into debris, which blew away with the wind.

"Roar!"

A Refined Demon that was relatively close saw this and, instead of being scared, roared angrily and pounced, swinging its sharp claws at Shane, who had his back to it.

But it was as if Shane had eyes in the back of his head; his form flickered into an afterimage. In a flash, he moved under the arm that the Refined Demon had swung out and closed in on it.

"Grant·Blast."

Shane turned his finger into a palm and stretched out his hand, grabbing the arm of the Refined Demon.

On his hand, the Magic Power surged like a gnawing abscess, coiling around the Refined Demon.

"Boom!"

The Refined Demon, unable to offer the slightest resistance, exploded into countless pieces of flesh that flew in every direction.

Blood fell like rain but evaporated on contact with Shane’s Magic Power, never touching his body.

However, in Shane’s hand, he still clutched the Refined Demon’s arm.

This grotesque and terrifying sight had finally shocked the surrounding Refined Demons, making them all freeze in place, daring not to move.

"Wow! Wow! Wow!"

Milu kept exclaiming, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Truly bloody." Lide clicked her tongue, a smile unconsciously appearing on her petite beastkin face, making her mutter, "But I like it."

Shane seemed to be testing his magical abilities, using all sorts of damaging Grant properties to slaughter the Refined Demons.

And the Magic Power he was using was only the faint whiff that twirled around his fingertips, yet the power was frighteningly high.

Thanks to this, even among the Refined Demons engulfed in madness, several felt an instinctive fear and turned tail to run.

Among them, one, unlucky, dashed in the direction of Milu and Lide.

"Roar!"

That Refined Demon roared, opening its fang-filled maw, and mercilessly lunged to bite at Milu and Lide.

"Milu."

Seeing this, Lide still lay on Milu’s head, didn’t move, but calmly called out a single sound.

"Hiya!"

Milu then snapped into action, unafraid and rather excited at the Refined Demon lunging towards her.

"Shsh!"

The Refined Demon’s fangs gnashed at Milu’s body but incredibly passed right through her small frame, emerging from her backside.

At that moment, Milu turned around and extended her finger, like Shane had done, pressing it against the Refined Demon.

No, it wasn’t a press; it was a poke.

Milu poked fiercely with her finger.

"Boom!"

As that slender, delicate finger touched the back of the Refined Demon, a terrifying force burst forth, causing the Refined Demon to explode on the spot into a spray of blood.
