Chapter 80: The One Behind The Monster...
Acantha looked at the woman who was still trying to unbind herself from the spell she put on her. She looked again around her and saw that Flamear seemed to be going somewhere.
"Are you alright?" She saw Helion, who was now in front of her.
"How did you get here?" She asks as she just saw him far from her, and then the seconds he was now in front of her, but she knew that her question was stupid.
"Is that the one who I fought a while ago?" Helion asked as he frowned at the woman she just caught.
"Yes, and it’s a woman. This one was also the one I fought in that abandoned house where we got that thing in our dungeon." Acantha said as she lifted her hand and used her power to knock out the woman.
"We should know who it was then," Helion said as he walked to the unconscious woman and opened the mask.
Acantha also walked, and they were both surprised and to identify the person.
"What is this?" Acantha asked as she was surprised to see who the woman is.
"Madam Abellarde?" Helion was the one who said it as he looked at the woman who had been unmasked.
Acantha couldn’t also believe what she was seeing; she knew Noraya’s mother in the novel as her protector from her father, who loves collecting paintings.
But never did she imagine that she had some power, just like -
Acantha looked at Flamear again and saw that he seemed to be looking around as he was walking towards where she was.
"What was wrong?" She asked him when she saw that he looked like he was looking for someone.
"Evander’s father was here just a moment; I was about to catch him when he suddenly disappeared.
Acantha looked at Noraya and Evander’s mother, who was still on the ground lying unconscious.
"Do you think he knows about her?" Acantha asked Flamear as she was looking at him.
"No, I don’t think so; it seems like the count was just trying to help her without knowing who she was." Flamear, said he, as he looked at the woman again.
"What are you both talking about?" Acantha looked beside her, and she almost forgot that Helion was still there with them and that he didn’t know what they discovered about the affair between the count and Noraya’s mother.
She looked around her again and saw that the monster’s were all gone and that some of the knights were taking some time to rest, and while the other’s were trying to pull some of the other knights dead bodies and some with injuries.
"It’s not good to talk about it here," Acantha said as she looked back again at Helion, who was also looking at the knights.
He called Jarnus, who was not so far from them, and he told something to him.
"Let’s go." Helion said as he turned to her after he talked to Jarnus, who was now walking with Ernie towards where the knights were.
"Where?" Acantha asked, dumbfounded, as she didn’t get what he meant.
"To the duchy, and by the way, where’s the duke?" Helion asked as he frowned when he didn’t notice her father.
"He was in the south; he talked to some relatives there," Acantha said as she took his hand and held Flamear in one of her hands, and they disappeared in the thick air.
_______________
When they arrived at the duchy, they went straight to her father’s office.
Acantha was about to speak when she heard some knock from the door as it opened
"My Lady," Acantha frowned; she saw Mildred, who was supposed to be in her bed, as she was still not fine.
"Mildred is here?" Helion asked as he frowned.
"Yes, that’s the real Mildred." Acantha said as she looked at Mildred. "You were supposed to be still in bed, Mildred," she said as she sighed.
"I’m alright now, my lady." Mildred said, which made her sigh again. Why is she so hard-headed? She just wanted her to rest, as she doesn’t look good right now. Maybe she was healed, but Acantha didn’t think she was mentally and emotionally okay, as she saw how she behaved when she entered the room.
"How did you get her?" She heard Helion say as he was looking at her.
"Remember the book we got? I created a fake book to trick Evander, and he fell for it. Acantha said as she looked at Helion.
"I put some spell on the book and connected it to the map that I also made the same; I heard Evander and his father arguing about killing Mildred; I didn’t think twice; Flamear and I went there together," Acantha said as she was explaining what happened to Helion.
"And there was something we also discovered: that Evander’s mother was alive." She continued as she looked at his reaction, but it seems like she didn’t get any reactions from him aside from his frowning.
"Baron Abellarde’s wife and Count Triduexfort were having an affair." Acantha said, and she saw how Helion straightened his back from his seat.
"Or maybe I should tell you the shocking news that Count Triduexfort wasn’t even the real count. He was their gardener who was helping and guiding the late real count Triduxfort; we concluded that maybe because of his and the wife of the baron’s way back then when they were both still unmarried." She looked at Mildred, who was shaking while she was hearing the story about those people who tortured her.
"Mildred was the one who heard about that, that the count and the Noris, who is Noraya’s mother, were having an affair with the count, and now. I recognized her magic. She was the one who was doing those experiments on that abandoned house and who owns the monster in the dungeon." Acantha said as she looked at the woman who was still unconscious.
"We should put her there then," Helion said as he scoped the woman again; he still looks confused at what she said.
Acantha nodded, and then they all went to the dungeon, and there. She saw the monster stand up, and it seems like it recognizes the smell of the baroness that Helion was carrying.
Helion put the baroness in another cell, and Acantha also did the same spell on the monster, and so they wouldn’t escape from this place, as they were dangerous; she was about to turn to Helion when she noticed something on the floor.
It was a black stone that she could sense so much power from, which she concluded was where the baroness’s authority was from.
"This Abanoon’s gem," Flamear was the one to get the stone from the floor and give it to her.
Acantha can feel the dark magic flowing to the diamond; it seems like the count was the one who gifted it to the baroness.
But why didn’t he recognize his master’s power? Maybe Abanoon got so many things that her own disciple didn’t recognize.
Acantha looked at the stones again as they were reacting in her hands; she used her power to purify the stone, which she found hard as it was resisting against her power. She tries and tries, and finally she succeeds, but suddenly she feels her energy is low.
She almost fell to the floor if not for Helion, who was fast to catch her just in time before she fell on the floor.
"Are you alright?" Helion asked her as he looked worried at her,
"Yes, it just this stone’s seems to be to resisting against my power.
"It’s because your power was different from what it was orginally from," Flamear said as he also looked worried at her too.
Acantha didn’t answer as she was losing her consciousness.

Baron Abellarde was pacing back and forth as it was already night, but his wife was nowhere to be found and he can’t handle his daughter, who was screaming.
He was getting impatient as it looks like no matter who the healer is, he will use to cure his daughter; still, they didn’t have any answers about her sickness.
And there was also the emperor who forbids him from coming to the palace and meeting the empress.
His business was getting lower as they didn’t get enough funds for their project.
Damn those stupid blokes who just turned their back on him when he needed them the most.
It seems like the mad emperor was also coming after his head, as he didn’t shower for many days.
He was really getting nervous as he knew that any comment someone might make could kill him as the emperor commands.
And now he was even losing some money because of some investments because his daughter’s sickness has now spread in the capital, which he didn’t know who did in the first place; if he knew, he would kill her or him.
Baron Abellarde heard a scream from his daughter, which made him sigh.
