"Have you heard?" Acantha, who was reading a book in their library, suddenly someone spoke behind her.

"Heard what?" She asked without lifting her eyes from reading the book.

"The one you know," Acantha closed the book to face Evander, who was she talking to, and looked at him.

"Are we playing some guessing games here?"She asked irritatingly.

"Guessing game? Oh, No. But I think you knew what I’m talking about," he said, which made her roll her eyes at him.

"Fine, there was rumor that you healed those people who were sick at one of the infirmaries that the crown prince used to put those who were infected and who they conatacted with." Evan said as he looked at the book she was reading.

"Hey, is that a new book?" He asked as he pointed at her book.

Acantha looked at him and said, "Can you read it?" She handed him the book to see if he could read it.

"What are you saying? There’s nothing in this book," Evander said, which surprises her.

But why can Helion see the content but can’t read it?

Acantha looked at Evander and sighed, "Why are you here again?" She asked as she changed the subject.

"The rumors—I’ve been telling you awhile ago about the rumors that you healed those people—is it true?" He asked as he sat in on the chair in front of her.

"It’s just a rumor," she said as she shrugged, as she opened the book again and read it.

"But there are so many people there; the rumors even reached the palace now," he said, which made her close the book in an instant.

"What did you say?" She asked as she looked at him, who seemed surprised to see her reaction.

"The rumors already reached the emperor and the empress, but there was also another rumor about Lady Noraya," he said as he looked at her.

Is he really a man? Why does it feel like he was like those women who like to gossip?

"You sure know a lot about the rumors in the empire," she said as she looked at him.

"I heard the maids talking about it when I was eating breakfast this morning," he said as he smiled at her sweetly.

"Okay, you say so," she said as she was about to leave the library when she saw that Evan was following her.

"Are you seriously going to follow me?" Acantha said as she asked.

"Yes, I have nothing to do today, so I asked the duke if I can play as your knight for today," he said as he looked at her and winked.

Acantha threw him some death glare to make him stop. "I am not going out at the place, so I don’t need you to guard me, and besides, have you had any details about what I told you last time?" She asked as she went closer to him, who was stunned at her question and what she did.

"I still don’t have any knowledge about it yet," he said as he was trying to avoid her eyes.

"My lady!" She heard someone exclaim, and there she saw Mildred, who has something in her hand, with Benedict with her.

Acantha turned her back to Evander and went where Mildred and Benedict were.

"How are you here, Benedict?" Acantha asked as she smiled at the boy who was looking at her.

"I brought him here, my lady," Mildred said as she looked at her, and she could see that she looked better than yesterday when she was worrying about her niece’s condition.

Acantha looked at Benedict, who was holding some flowers in his hands. The flowers seem fresh and look like they have just picked.

"Are those flowers for me?" She asked, and Bendict gave her the flower as he shyly looked down.

"Thank you for saving my mother; you were so different from what they said you were," Benedict said as he looked at her with so much greatfulness in his eyes.

"Thank you so much, my lady, for saving my niece’s life," Mildred said as she looked at her, as she has those same eyes as Benedict.

"You don’t have to thank me, Mildred and Benedict," she said as she smiled at the two of them.

"It’s really true; you saved those people!" She glared when she heard Evan exclaim as he was caressing his hair.

"You’re annoying," Acantha said coldly at Evander, who just chuckled at what she did.

"But I’m handsome." He said as he winked at them.

Acantha rolled her eyes at him as she brought the flowers to her nose to smell them.

"Since you were here, you might join us to eat at the desert shop in the market." Acantha said as she looked at Evander, who was now grinning at her.

"My pleasure," he said as he took her hand, which she did to Benedict.

Acantha uses her power so that they can travel outside when she feels something hop with them and she sees it is Flamear.

They got landed at the market, and too good Evan has his cape with him so that she can borrow it so no one can see it was her.

"There are so many people here at this moment as it was lunch," Evander informed her when they walked to her favorite shop.

"Just hold Benedict’s hand for a moment," Acantha said as she looked at Evander, who was looking at Flamear, who she was holding at the moment.

"Isn’t that beast dangerous here?" Evander asked as he pointed at Flamear, who glared at him.

"And why do you think Flamear was dangerous?"Acantha said as she looked at Evander, who was looking at Flamear with doubt on his face.

"Are you for real? He bit me the last time we saw each other," Evander said as he looked at her like she said something he couldn’t believe.

Acantha glared at him when she noticed that people were looking at them at what he did.

Evander’s eyes widen when he sees that Benedict is touching Flamear, and the beast isn’t even biting the kids hands, but instead it seems like it likes to be petted by the kid.

"Hey, hey kid. If you want to return home safely, you should refrain from interacting with that beast." He said as he was worried that the beast might just bite the kids hand when it was trusting the beast.

"You’re overracting; Flamear won’t bite Benedict’s hand, as he knew he was a good person, and beside looked at them! Flamear seems to like Benedict," Acantha said as she looked at the two as Benedict was happily caressing Flamear’s fur.

"So, you think you’re beast thought that I was a bad person; that’s why it bitten me that day?" Evander said as his eyes were still doing those shocked expressions that he did awhile ago.

"Flamear bits you, as he didn’t like you," Acantha said as she started walking.

"Ouch, that hurts. So I’m not likeable anymore. Am I not likeable anymore, Benny?" He said as he looked at Benedict, who was looking at him innocently.

Acantha sighed; she was about to turn when she was bumped by something suddenly, and the cape she was wearing fell to the ground. She saw how the people at the market stopped doing what they were doing when they saw her.

"Look, it was Lady Acantha!" She heard the woman who was selling some fruits at the corner yell as she pointed at her.

"It’s Lady Acantha!" the people start yelling as they were going to where she was.

"Lady Acantha, pleas help my kid; he was also infected by the disease." A woman pulled her as she plead to her.

Acantha looked and saw that Evander was now carrying Benedict and was about to go where she was being pulled.

"Go." She mouthed him when she saw he was about to pull her out of the place while he was still holding Benedict in his arms.

"Lady Acantha, help me; my daughter was dying, and we can’t afford the baron’s fee for Lady Noraya to cure our daughter." She saw a man who looked old and looked at her as he was also trying to get her.

Acantha looked at the people who were in front of her, as she didn’t know what to do; there are so many of them, and she just can’t use her power to stop them.

Helion lifted his face from what he was doing when he saw Ernie rushing through the door.

"What’s wrong?" He said as he asked him, It seems like he has something urgent for him.

He still hasn’t slept yet since yesterday after he took Lady Acantha at their home.

Also, the rumors of her curing all the people in that place have already spread across their empire. Helion sighed and looked at Ernie, who was looking at him.

"It’s Lady Acantha." Ernie said, which made him stand up from his chair.
