Villainess Want's To Ignore Them!
Chapter 59: The Empire, The Disease...

Chapter 59: The Empire, The Disease...

Helion’s head has been painful since this morning. He sent a letter using his bird to Acantha to ask for an apology for what his mother said and did to her.

He was disappointed with his mother, whom he knew liked Noraya for him, but that doesn’t mean she can just disrespect someone.

His mother really changed when she was involved with the Abellarde’s; she doesn’t listen to them anymore as she just only listens to them. This is what he and his father were sacred of—that someone will use his mother for their own benefit.

And now, it seems like she was being used for something again; he just had a report that the baron was using his mother’s name in getting some stones from different miners.

That bastard has even some letter from his mother; why does his mother give him a letter with her own seal?

She was not like this before; he doesn’t know what went wrong.

"Your highness, there is a problem; there are some problems." Helion looked at Jarnus as he looked at him, as he was sweating really hard.

"What was it?" He said as he lifted his eyes from the papers that he was reviewing and signing.

"The borders had been closed from south, north, and even east," Jarnus said as he looked worried about it.

He knew this would happen after what the duke said yesterday: Solaris was really powerful, and sometimes they were even seen as more powerful than them as they controlled almost everything.

But, unlike the Abellarde’s, who were power-hungry, Solaris, despite having the same standing and even more powerful than them when it comes to lineage and political power, remained as the loyal sword and shield of their Empire.

They were not seeking anything but loyalty.

Helion sighed as he looked at Jarnus.

"I already expected it." Helion said as he looked at him.

"But they should only be controlling their territories; I mean, the duke came originally from the south, where they had a huge territory there. But why has the east also been closed?" Jarnus asked him as he looked curious.

"Have you forgotten? Solaris wasn’t originally from the south? They were originally from the east, but one of their descendants decided he wanted to take his own path, and he married someone from the east who was also rich as him, and you know that they have a curse, that it was rare for them to sire a male heir," Helion said as he looked at him.

That’s why the name in Solaris wasn’t at the east anymore, as mostly the descendant who stayed there didn’t have an heir.

"Your Highness!"

"Your Highness!"

"Your Highness!"

They both looked at the door when it flung open, and Ernie, who was running, came out of it.

"There are some attacks from the capital; no records of death as our knights had been deployed all around." Ernie said as he reported to him.

"Then why are you shouting?" Jarnus asked as he groaned in annoyance.

"There’s a new problem; there was a disease that was spreading around the capital." Ernie said, which made him and Jarnus stiffen when they heard the news.

"What?" Helion exclaimed as he stood up from where he was sitting, and the papers on his table

Helion looked in front of him and saw how pale Jarnus is. He knew that Jarnus had trauma, as the last time his family almost died was when there was an epidemic that spread around their empire.

"What was that status of the disease?" He asked as he too was sweating.

"There are more than ten people who have been inflected with it." Ernie said, which made him curse inside his head.

"Damned, that was fast!" Jarnus said as he cursed and looked at Ernie.

"Where are they?" He asked as he was going to see it.

"You can’t go there, Your Highness." Ernie stopped him as he was about to walk near the door.

"This one is more severe than the previous one; we should be careful," Ernie continued as he looked worried.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he still hadn’t been informed about the disease.

"The disease was making those people crazy, and they have some small lumps on their body, and they scratch it till their skin," Ernie said as he looked like he wanted to vomit.

"Shouldn’t we ask for Lady Noraya? We all knew that Lady Acantha wouldn’t be here as the duke and the Empress have a feud," Jarnus said as he looked at him.

"And there is also another problem, Your Highness. There are some knights who were also inflected, and we separated them from the other’s, and we also got those knights who were contacted with them to observe whether they would also show any symptoms," Ernie said as he looked at him.

Helion punched the wall near him when he heard those, "How many knights?"

"There are three knights who had been inflected, but they had a blast last night, and there are hundreds of people they contacted, and most of them were also our knights who also contacted lots of people," Ernie said as he paled.

"Why did they have a blast?" He asked as he knew those knights didn’t go with him.

"They had defeated a big monster near the south border yesterday," Ernie said as he looked at them.

"What about the Abellarde’s?" Helion asked if Noraya already went to cure them.

"I think the news hasn’t reached the Abellarde’s yet, as they were not taking any actions." Jarnus said as he looked at Ernie, who just shook his head.

"Baron Abellarde already made a deal with some people." Ernie said as he looked down.

"What deal?" Helion, as Ernie didn’t finish his sentence.

"He deals with those noblemen again, just like what he did last time." Ernie said as he lifted his face, and Helion saw anger in his eyes.

"Helion!"

They heard someone shout from the outside of his door; not too long when the door opened, and there he saw his mother walking in with her maids.

"Mother," Helion groaned as he knew why she was here.

"You should go to the Abellarde’s and ask for help from Noraya." She said as she looked at him as she said those words like a command.

"But-"

"No, buts. You’re the crown prince of this empire, and you should do your responsibility to the empire," she said as she walked out with her people.

Helion looked at the door and clenched his fist. He took the mana stones to go to the Abellarde’s house.

Acantha looks at the dining room as it was already evening and her father still hasn’t comeback from somewhere.

"Have you heard the news?" She heard someone say, and she saw the two maids talking to each other in the corner of the dining room.

"Yes, there are so many people who have been inflected by the disease that has spread here in the capital." The other maid’s hair was braided, said.

Disease? What were they talking about? Is that the reason why the duke still hasn’t arrived?

Acantha eats her dinner, and when she finishes, she goes to look for Mildred, and she sees that she is talking to someone.

"Mildred," she said as she called for her name.

Mildred and the person to whom she was talking turned out to be a boy who was wearing a cap, while his eyes were full of tears.

She also notices that Mildred’s eyes were read; it seems like she too cried.

The boy looked at her and ran in front of her and kneeled.

"Lady Acantha, Help my mother, please! Auntie Mildred told me that you were kind; I went here as the empire’s knight took my mom as she was contacted with the disease." The boy said as he was crying at her as he was pulling her clothes.

Acantha also kneeled to level the boy. "Why are you alone then? Shouldn’t you be with her?" She asks as she wanted to know whether the boy also needs to be healed or not.

The boy shook his head. "I wasn’t with my mother for days, as Auntie Mildred told me I could stay here while she was not here." The boy said as he was wiping his tears, but it keeps falling from his eyes.

"Where did they take your mother?" Acantha as she guided the boy to stand up.

"My Lady," she heard Mildred say as she looked worried.

"Don’t worry, Mildred. I will save your niece." She said as she walked with the boy.

"W-what will I say to the duke?" Mildred shouted.

"Tell him, I will be back," Acantha said as she went to walk with the boy when they saw a carriage of their duchy.

They went in and traveled to the place where the boy’s mother was taken.

She was thinking, Where did the disease come from, and how did it spread very fast?

She heard that from the maids that there are many people who have been inflected by the disease in their empire.

The carriage stopped when they arrived a tall wall, and -
