Villainess Want's To Ignore Them!
Chapter 51: Cruix

Chapter 51: Cruix

It was a pin that has the Cruix name on it.

She looks around and tries to find the man again, but fails.

"What’s wrong?" She turned around and saw Helion was also chasing her around.

Acantha showed the pin to Helion, "Where did you get this?" He asked as he gripped the pin in his hand.

"The man dropped it when he bumped me," Acantha said as she looked around them again.

Acantha walks towards the counter to ask the attendant, How could she be so stupid not to go there in the first place?

"Ahmm, can I ask for something?" Acantha said as she looked at the man who was arranging the book.

The man lifted his head and asked, "What can I do for you, My Lady?" The man was smiling at her as he asked those questions.

"Do you have any records about any Cruix family on your guest list today?" I asked as I looked at him.

The man looked confused at what she said, and he tried looking at the book that seems to be the record of people who visited the library.

"There are no Cruix in here, my lady," the man said as he looked at the record again as he was double-checking it.

"The only Cruix I know had been long gone from a long time ago," the man continued as he looked at her.

"What do you mean, long gone?" Acantha asked as she frowned at the man who was now looking at her with sadness in her eyes.

"Are you not from here?" the man asked, which made her confused. What does it do with it?

Acantha shook her head as an answer.

The man looked at her and sighed, "There are some stories here in the east that only real eastern people know about it." The man said as he looked behind her and saw that Helion was also listening there.

The man gulped as he was sweating. "You can continue; he was with me," Acantha said as she looked at the man, who seems to be intimidated by Helion’s presence.

The man was hesitating to continue, but Acantha assures him about Helion.

"T-the Cruix was a family who was burned alive by the old villagers in the mountain, as they said to be the one who was using some dark magic that caused so many people here in the east to die during that time," the man said as his eyes became unease and roamed around the place; it was like he was afraid that someone might hear him.

"The Valetudoo Mountain?" Acantha asked, as she wanted to confirm whether the information they had wasn’t false at all.

"Yes, that dark mountain that was full of monsters who always disturbed the nearby villages here in the east," the man said as he looked at her.

Acantha looked at Helion, who was behind her. "Have you heard about it?" she asked as she saw Helion seem to be serious while listening as the man was telling the story about Cruix family history.

Helion shook his head as he was still seems to be thinking something that his mind was not with hers but in somewhere.

"Hey," she said as she was trying to snap him back in reality.

"Are you saying anything?" Helion asked her when he finally came to his senses.

Acantha only looked at her and sighed, and she turned to the man who was now still looking at them. "Thank you for telling us what you know about the Cruix family; this is for you," Acantha said as she gave him some gold as her reward for him.

"Y-you don’t have to give me this much, my lady." The man said as he was hesitating to accept the gold she gives him.

"No, it’s yours. Just consider it a gift," she said as she turned her back at the waiter and faced Helion.

Acantha looked at Helion, and what was wrong with this man? Why does it seem like he fell into somewhere ever since he heard the story?

"Heyyy.." she said as she was trying to get his attention. Which she succeeded as the man looks at her

"Let’s go," she said as she walked first out of the place.

Acantha and Helion were now sitting in the park as they looked at the fountain in front of them.

"Seriously, is there something wrong with your highness?" Acantha said as she was feeling pissed as she has been trying to talk to him about what they learned, but the latter seemed to be in deep thoughts.

"Your highness?" Helion asked her as he raised his brows at her.

"I’ve been talking to you the whole time about the Cruix, and yet you seem to be so lost in your own world," she said as she looked at him.

"I was just thinking," the man said, which got her attention.

"There is something wrong with the man’s statement," Helion said as he looked at her.

"Why do you say so?" Acantha asked She looks at him, asking what made him say that.

"We were looking for the information about the Cruix family for many hours, and not even a single book tells anything about them. What more? The man said that it was a known story among the people who live here in the east, so how come no one had ever recorded about it?" Helion said as he was looking from afar.

"I know. It sounds like they already expected that we would go to the library, and that man who was wearing the Cruix pin must be doing it on purpose so that we will have to ask someone from that place,Acantha said as she put her chin on her hand.

"And besides, I also notice that the man seemed to be sweating a lot before you even came, and he just sweats more when he sees you, and there was also some instance that it seems like his movements were all calculated that it looks like someone was listening to every word he would say to us," Acantha continued, and Helion looked at her as he nodded his head as he agreed with what she said.

"I will tell Ernie and Jarnus to monitor the place and the man," Helion said as he stood up and offered his hand, which she accepted.

"You don’t have to bother them anymore; I already did it," Acantha said as she got up from sitting.

Helion looked at her with confusion all over his face. "What do you mean?" He asked as they walked side-by-side.

"Why do you think I insisted on giving those golds to him?" Acantha said as she smirked. "I cast something in those golds so that we can hear them and see those people with the man." Acantha said as she devilishly smiled at Helion.

"But what if the man will give it to someone, or maybe use it?" Helion said as they were walking.

"Nah, I cast something in those golds that the moment he accepts, I will have access to what he can see and what he can hear." She confidently said, which made Helion speechless.

-------------------------

The man sighed as soon as the two left the library. He looked at the gold that the woman gave him. He peeked at the small bag, and there he saw that it was not only a small amount of gold; there are so many golds inside.

The man thought that the woman was not serious when she handed him the small bag; he thought that the gold he was holding was not all gold, but he was wrong.

He went inside the place behind the counter, and there he saw someone who was already waiting for him.

"They did ask as what you said, and I told them the story you told me to tell them." The man said as he looked at the person in front of him.

He wasn’t even sure if this person was a woman or a man, as he seemed to be using something to conceal his or her real identity.

"That’s good to know," the person said and walked near him. "They are probably looking for Cruix now, the Cruix family, who didn’t exist in the first place." The person laughed, which made him look at him or her.

He was startled when that person walked near him; he could feel the hair on his body standing when he was behind him.

"I will let your family go, but the moment I find out that you said anything to anyone, I will find you and your family and kill you." The person said to him, which made him sweat.

He didn’t know this person in the first place.

This person who threatens him that if he doesn’t do what he or she says, his family won’t see the morning tomorrow.

He looked at the side when he heard someone who seemed to be struggling, and there he saw that the real library attendant was tied in a rope. While blood was gushing on his face, the man was struggling and trying to take off the rope.

Suddenly, the person he was talking to lifted his hand, causing the real attendant to float in the air. He heard a bone snap, and when he looked at the man tied in a chair, he realized he was already dead. The person using a power had just twisted his head, causing the snap of a bone to resound.

"See? You will have worse if you defy me." The person said as he just disappeared in the air.

He fell on his knees when he was left alone.

He looked at the man again who was lying dead not so far from him; it’s eyes were open, and it seems like he was looking at him.

___________

Acantha and Helion saw everything that happened, so they were right from the beginning that someone had staged everything today.

Acantha looked at Helion and saw that he looked mad at what they had witnessed, as she also feels the same.

She looks at where Flamear was; she wishes she didn’t insist on knowing about Solaia; if she didn’t, they would probably get an answer from Flamear now.

They all looked at the door when they heard some knock from it.

She saw Helion stand and open it and -
