"Hey, beautiful girl, Do you want to drink with us?" One of the men said as he was holding some bottles of liquor in his hands while his group was still threatening the owner of the place.

The man laughed when Acantha simply glared at him and said, "Oh, Marti, look at this woman! She’s glaring at me!" The man called his people.

Acantha saw that the owner of the inn where they were staying looked scared for her.

"Woah, Larin, where did you find this woman?" The other man, whose name is Marti, said as he walks around her, and Acantha can feel that he sniffs her hair.

The man named Marti leans closely, and his face is not far from her. She wanted to vomit when she smelled the man’s breath.

"This woman smells like those noble ladies from the capital!" the other man exclaimed as he looked at her like he just saw a gem.

"Let me smell too!" She heard one of the men shout as he was about to go closer at her when her fist met his face.

The man named Marti was about to grab her on her hands when she kicked him where it hurt the most.

Acantha has never been grateful for the fact that she was wearing pants, as she delivered a flying kick to the man’s jaw, causing him to fly over the corner of the inn.

"You!" She saw the man called Larin was aiming her with the wood and was about to hit her with it when she docked and punched him on the stomach.

The inn was in chaos, and Acantha glimpsed the inn owner lurking behind the bar.

"Grab her!" She saw that the four were about to attack her all at once.

Acantha’s eyes were getting observant as she was looking at the four who were running to attack her.

"Damn, I can’t use my power here." Acantha said to her mind as she dodged one of the man’s punches and grabbed the other one and threw him at the back.

The other looked at her, and they looked really mad as they pulled something from their pocket, and Acantha saw that they pulled a knife from there.

They were about to attack her again when the door of the inn opened.

Acantha saw that Mildred, along with Helion, who has a deadly look, entered the door.

Before she could even blink her eyes, Helion had already grabbed the man by his neck, while the other one was already thrown into the wall, which made a big crack.

"What do you think your about to do to her?" Helion asked the man, and Acantha saw that he had tightened his grip on the man’s neck as the latter coughed for air.

The other man who was already beaten was grunting in pain, and it seems like they recognized who Helion is as she saw them trembling in fear.

Acantha walks to Helion to make him stop, as he can see that the man was near his death with his face starting to turn purple.

"Stop it, Helion," she said as she tried to get his hands off the man’s neck. It’s not because she pities him, but they were on a mission, and everything will blow up if there’s a rumor that they were here, or worse, it might get to the ears of Abanoon’s disciple.

Helion looked at her, and then he looked at her hand, and Acantha felt uncomfortable when she just realized that her hand was still holding his.

She heard him sighed as he let the man go. "If you ever say anything to anyone about this, I’m going to hunt you." Helion said to the man as he threatened him.

Acantha saw that the four men were running like they seemed not to care about their wounds anymore as long as they could leave the place.

"Are you alright?" Helion asks her, and Acantha flinch when he touches her on the face.

Their faces were just inches apart, and she can smell his breath. She could feel her heartbeats fast as their eyes were looking at each other like they could read each other’s souls.

"My lady, are you alright?" They broke their eye contact, and he let her go when Mildred went to them and asked her.

"Ahhm." She heard him clear his throat as he was looking away from her.

She just nodded at Mildred, who was checking if she was hurt or not.

"E-excuse me.." They all turned around and saw the man who was hiding behind the bar.

She almost forgot the inn owner if he didn’t speak. Acantha sighed as she knew that the man was scared, but at the same time he was feeling broke as his in was destroyed and so many things inside were broken.

Acantha was about to get her money, which she puts in her pocket, when she saw that Helion give the man a small bag.

She saw how the man’s eyes grew bigger when he opened it and noticed so many golds in there.

"Is that enough?" Helion asked the man coldly.

"It’s more than enough." She heard the man say and was about to give the bag back to Helion as he got something from it: "I only need these few pieces." The man said as he looked at Helion, thankful.

"It’s yours," she heard Helion say to the man. "Use it to hire people to fix this place." He said as he looked at her.

"Let’s eat," he said as he got her hands and pulled her from Mildred, who just followed them.

They were waiting for the food to be served. "I thought you got me some food, Mildred?" Acantha asks Mildred, who was also with them at the table.

"I threw the food, my lady." Mildred said to her. "I saw you were figthing with those men, and I didn’t think, and I accidentally threw the food while running to find his highness.

That’s why when she saw Helion, he was rushing like a madman, and he just went straight to those men who she was fighting against.

"But why does it seem those men recognized you?" She said as she looked at Helion, who also looked at her.

"I already met them here when I was checking something; they were threatening the people who were selling at the market to give them some money." Helion said, and Acantha silenced as she saw that their food was coming.

"Have you heard what happened at the mountain?" Acantha heard someone say inside the restaurant where they were eating.

"Yes, that was horrible. How can someone kill three people at the same time and in a worse way?" They heard the woman say as she was whispering with another woman.

"That mountain was really killing so many people in here in the east; if I had money, I would’ve left to live in the capital." The other woman said as she looked at the other woman, and her face showed that she looked scared.

"Have you heard?" She turned around, and this time she saw some gentlemen who were having their meals talking to each other.

"Yes, there were another five bodies that have been found this morning in front of the mountain." They heard what the man said, and Acantha can hear everyone gasping when they hear it.

Acantha looked at Helion, who was eating and she knew that he was listening to the conversation.

"Aren’t you worried that the place that we were going is killing so many people?" Acantha asked as she looked at the man in front of her.
