Chapter 28: Back To The Capital

The duke went to the border again while shaking his head, why can’t people seems not to understand that he was busy, and why all of the time he was visited by some uninvited guest.

When he arrived he saw Gineo was there, the Emperor knew that the Duke was at the Northern as he asked to live his obligations for a while for his daughter and the reason why the Emperor sent a messenger instead of using some power or magic to communicate with the duke is he knew that the Duke’s daughter was sensitive with magic that’s the reason why she collapsed the last time in his very own palace.

"Your Grace" Gineo said as he greets him.

"What is it Gineo ?" Arthur asked as he knew that the Emperor won’t send him here if it wasn’t important.

"Your Grace, His Highness the Emperor wants you back at the capital," Gineo answered which made Arthur frowned, he already told the emperor that he was here for an important matter.

"Did he tell you the reason?" Arthur asked, it’s not about that one right?

"He didn’t say anything, he summoned you to go back to the capital and go to the palace." Gineo said as he looked at the duke.

Gineo too didn’t knew why he was sent here by the emperor, and when he’s got here a while ago he was stopped by some knights and when he tried entering, he can’t enter the place as it has some barriers around forbidding an outsider from coming inside.

Gineo looked at the Duke again, it seems like the Duke looks fine than when he went to ask for the Emperor’s blessing that he would like to find a cure for his daughter.

Arthur on the other side sighed as he knew that he and the rest needed to go back to the capital, they just got here ,and now they’re living this place, but what’s important is Acantha was good now.

"Tell him I’ll be back just give us time to pack again," Arthur said to Gineo which the latter just answer with a nod.

Acantha and Flamear just got back from the forest and they bump into the duke who seems to be waiting for them.

"I’m glad that your back" They heard the duke speak and walk towards them.

Acantha looked at him and it seems like he was waiting for them as he needed to tell them something important.

"We’re going back to the capital," The duke said which made her looked at him like asking if he is serious?

"Why so sudden?" She asked as she looked at him curiously, they just spent less than a week here and now they’re going back?

"The Emperor’s order," The duke casually say and Acantha knew that they can’t do anything if it is by Emperor’s order.

"Can we just stay here?" She asked as she remember who were at the capital.

"You can stay here but I cannot just leave you here, it’s a little bit dangerous as you knew what happened when we are travelling back " He asked and she think for a while as she can’t remember a thing about the incident.

The duke also looks confused when she didn’t answer and the he finally realized that she didn’t remember it.

"Just tell Mildred to get ready, What about you Flamear? Are you coming with us?" The duke asked Flamear who was just listening to them all the time.

"I will go with my master wherever it is," He said as he went inside of the place.

Acantha just nodded as she also went inside the house and straight to her room.

When she went inside she saw that Mildred was already there waiting for her and fixing her things, seems like Mildred was already been told by the duke himself and was wondering why did he need to tell her to tell Mildred to help her.

After they, She went down to eat dinner with the duke and saw Flamear was not there as he told him that he will be back to say goodbye to his friends in the forest.

"Have you finished packing your things?" The duke asked her while they were eating their dinner.

Acantha nodded as a response as she was busy chewing the meet, she didn’t want to get back to the capital as how can she avoid those people if she was there?

She sighed as she looks down on her plate, " What’s wrong?" She lift her face and saw the duke look at her with worry.

"Nothing," She said as he shook her head.

"You seems not to want to go back to the capital?" The duke asked her.

"No, it’s just," She can’t tell him, can’t she? Besides she cannot just tell him that she was avoiding Noraya and Helion as they were the one who will kill her.

The dinner went fine that night and she sleep early as the duke told her that they will be travelling through using some mana stones to avoid any sudden attack, They went to the border where’s there’s a big stone that looks like a gateway and they infuses the mana there and it make a big tunnel for them to pass through.

Some of the knights went first and some were also stayed there as they were be the one who will guard the place.

Flamear on the other side shrink himself into a tiny tiger as he said he will get everyone’s attention and when they were still in the Klartis palace he already shrink his self.

Helion was at his residence as he felt tired he just came from the south and he went straight to the Solaris duchy only to found nothing, he has seen Hernand back then who was talking to the Duke but he can’t hear what they said as the latter was quick to notice him.

"My son you’re back!" He heard his mother who just came in with Lady Noraya.

"Y-you’re back, Helion" She said shyly as she blushed.

And since when did she had the right to call him with his name?

He looked at her like he was waiting for him to call him in formal way.

" I told Noraya that she can just call you Helion as she was going to be your wife anyway," His mother said and Helion almost groaned in disbelief .

How could his mother always try to do things on her way? and how can she just let her call him that? They were not like them, his mother and father married at such a young age and they fell in-love young which has no problem to the both sides of family since they were betrothed.

"Mother," Helion said as he looked at his mother, sometimes he wonder why does she likes Noraya? I mean, she was kind, and has pretty face, but that’s all.

Helion didn’t like her family anyway, if only his mother knew what her father has been doing she won’t even look at her.

Baron Abellarde had been selling some fake mana stone that causes for those who uses too much of it act like crazy, and later on will die.

"By the way son, you’re father seems like he was in a hurry," His mother said as he looked at him and he saw that she seems to be worried for his father.

"I’ll talk to him now, " He said as he also seen this as an opportunity to escape from his mother and the lady.

He didn’t wait for his mother to give him permission as he went out to talk to his father,

When he arrived at his palace he saw that he seems to be waiting for someone, " Son your back?" His father hugged him as he welcomed him.

"Yes, the problem has been solved," He was talking about the problem that happened to the south and he also visited the territories of Baron Cargins, Count Minaro, and Lord Sandriano as he announced that all of them has been stripped of their tittle, and was prisoned for the crime they did, as well as he gave them the ration and things they needed , and deployed some knights to protect them.

He turned around when he felts someone is coming , and later the Duke of Solaris came in rushing and seems to be in a hurry.

"You call , your highness?" He said as he greeted both of them.

He looked at the duke, if he was here, probably she was also there now.

"How’s you daughter?" He heard his father as he frowned, does it have to do with something he heard between him and Hernand why they went to the North?

"She was fine now, your highness," The duke answered.

"I heard that you were attacked by the monsters," Helion looked at his father and frowned again.

"Yes, I verified that they were the monster from Tenebrisaya," The duke said which made Helion stiffened.

"Tenebrisaya? That damned empire seems to have someone in here," The Emperor said as he looked at him like he was trying to tell that he and the duke needs to talk in private.

Helion sighed, "I’ll go ahead your highness, duke," He bid his goodbye as he exits the place.

Maybe he should pay a visit on the Solaris, he was walking when he saw from far that Lady Noraya was with the two maids which she recognized as one is from the palace while the other one was her personal maid.

"I heard that his highness the crown prince just came back from the south, ’ He heard Noraya’s personal maid said as she looked at Noraya who blushed at the mention of his name.

"I also heard that her highness the Empress allows you to call him by his name, my lady," The maid who was wearing a palace uniform said as she beamed at the other maid.

"It must be a good sign, after all you’re gonna marry each other," Her personal maid said again.

"Shuus, someone might hears you," Noraya said to her maid but she was still blushing, " There is still no decree for that," She said as she look down.

"The Empress wants you for his son, my lady, and we all know that the Emperor and the crown prince always obeys her highness, and beside. no one here can match you," The two lady said in chorus and they both nodded as they agreed to each other.

Helion looked at the three of them, the three seems to be so confident, this what he was afraid that the it will make the lady’s people arrogant as the Empress favors her.

Helion turned around and walk on the opposite way as he uses his mana stone to travel straight to the duchy Solaris.

When he arrived he was blocked by-
