Chapter 27: He Knows

After she finished eating her breakfast that morning Acantha went back to her room and there she saw Flamear who was sleeping in the floor.

She went to her bed and buried her face on the pillow as she was still absorbing everything that happened, she’s been here for months, she was once the genius Lucille in her world and now she acts dumb and stupid as everything was knew to her and not all the things she learned in the real world she can apply it here.

She can’t even think sometimes, she became impulsive when she came to this world.

Acantha sighed as she realized how childish she became and how she was always sleep all the time. This time as she heard from the duke’s healer friend that she was now healthy and she herself can also feel it.

"What are you thinking?" Acantha looked back and saw the Flamear who was now awake, and was looking at her.

"Nothing," She said as she shook her head.

"I know it’s heard for you to live your life now," Flamear said as he looked at her and Acantha stiffened when he said those words.

"Y-you knew?" She asked and Flamear just nodded.

"I can see your soul, and can read your memories, " He said as he purr and buried his face on the pillow she puts for him.

"Then why didn’t you tell everyone that I’m not the real Acantha?" She asked as she went near him and sat in front of him.

Flamear didn’t answer her and instead he was still burying his face on the pillow," You are now her, and there’s a reason why you are here," Flamear answered her when she was about to go back to her bed.

"What do you mean there’s a reason?" She asked as she can sense that there was something with his words, and that he knew something.

"Just it’s not yet the right time," He said as he lift his head and look at her straight in her eyes, like he was assuring her that she will learn all of it in time.

"Why not now?" She said as she wanted to know why she went in here and why did it had to ruined her perfect life, or is it really perfect?

"Not now, everything that happened was already written in you fate," Flamear answered again, " If I told you everything will be in chaos, " He said as he looked at hewr like he too was pleading at her not to ask more question.

Baron Abellarde cussed when he was on his home and he threw everything that was on his desk in his room.

How did it happened? He has been waiting for along time, the reason why he didn’t claimed the North for the past few years was not because he didn’t but someone has been sabotaging his plea to the Emperor to give him the Northern land.

It was his he was also a Klartis he has the same blood as them.

"Arrhhhh" He yelled as he threw the chair that was in front of him to the door. How dare the duke to give what he rightfully owned to some little girl who only knew how to dress up nicely?

That girl and her mother has always been a thorn on his side, if they weren’t born he will have all of those, he was the male heir and how dare them to give it to a little girl?

He tossed his desk, the door opened and-

"F-father?" Loren Looked at his daughter and glared at her, If only this stupid child of his did her part instead of chasing the crown prince they should have the Northern land.

"This is all your fault!" He yelled as he went to his daughter and shook her on her shoulder.

Noraya flinched when the count shook her, she was just concerned for her father as she heard some screaming and loud noises from his room, she saw how messy the room is and so many glasses scattered on the floor.

Noraya didn’t know why the Baron was acting like this, he just got home from his trip and he was already like, this.

And now he was blaming her.

"If only you did your part on becoming the crown princess then we wouldn’t be living like this!" The Baron shouted at her,

Noayra was hurting the way the baron was gripping her shoulder.

"Loren!" They both heard someone shouts at the door and when they looked at they saw the Noris who was rushing to them and removed Loren’s hand on Noraya.

"What are you doing with our daughter!" Noris yelled at Loren while she was hugging Noraya who was now silently sobbing,

"This is her fault! And yours too! If only she succeeded seducing the prince instead of just chasing him around we should’ve had the royal family’s back to get the land!" The Baron yelled at his wife and daughter.

"Why are so obsess with that land? and Noraya was doing her job! the Empress adores her and recognized her as the fiancée of the crown prince!" The baroness yelled back at her husband who was now messing his hair.

"Shuuuttt up! How dare you raise you voice at me?! you’re just my wife!" The baron said as he went straight to his wife and pushed them with force to the floor.

"How dare you treat us like this?!" The baroness yelled back as soon as she gets up and Noraya was trying to stop her from fighting back. " You won’t be in your position if it weren’t for my family! Your just a lowly beggar who my father saw on the street and took a pity with," The baroness said as she slapped her husband .

The baron gets more angrier when his wife brought up his past that he was burying, he really hates on how his wife’s family has been trampling him.

The former baron didn’t took him out of pity but he made him his heir to marry his daughter so that he can have someone he can manipulate.

He was glad that the Oldman was dead and probably was rotting below the ground. He looked at his wife and daughter and glared at them as he walked out from the place.

The baroness hugs her daughter when her husband already left the place.

Acantha went out to stroll in the magic forest and Flamear went with her, according to Flamear he also wanted to see his old friend again.

When they arrived their they saw that the fairies were doing something.

"What are you all doing?" Acantha asked as soon as they reach them.

The fairies look at her and smiled.

"Catanya’s daughter your back!"

"Yes, she’ back"

"Are you going to play with us?"

She heard some fairies shout as they saw her.

"I’m with Flamear," Acantha said as she pointed Flamear who was at her back and the fairies went to him and play with him

She was left with the elder fairy which she knows Flamear friend is and the one who saved her, " I wanted to thank you for saving me last night," Acantha said as she looks at the latter.

"No need to thank us, we did what we have to do," The elder fairy said to her," And you can call me Elida as you were the daughter of an old friend and the new master of my dearest friend," Elida said to her.

Acantha smiled as she sat on the a rock as they were now near a cave.. A cave? she looks again at what the fairy was doing and saw that they were making some stones.

"Are those mana stones?" She asked as she pointed at the stone that the fairy left when they played with Flamear.

"Yes, those are mana stones that we put in that cave as we used it on protecting the tree the we considered as our home, " She said as she looks at the big tree beside the cave, it looks really beautiful it wasn’t any ordinary tree the colour of the leaves were golden.

"People can use this mana stones to to gain abilities, but if people knew about this cave they will take all the mana and the tree won’t survived as making one stone was hard for us as we were using our power for it," The Elida explained to her.

Now, Acantha do understand why the North became barren and chaotic when Noraya was the one to claim this place as the baron was to greedy as he took all the mana stones with him.

"But, can’t you just find for other place? "She asked as she was curious to know what happened to them in the novel after Noraya took over this place.

"We can but we will eventually die as we will lose our power, the tree was the source of our power and our life." Elida said to her which now she understand.

She looks at where Flamear and saw that fairies were still with him.

Arthur was looking for her daughter as he just got back from his work in his office when Mildred told him that Acantha went to the magical forest with Flamear.

He was about to go back to his room again when suddenly Fabian appeared.

"Someone was looking for you at the border again, Your Grace," Fabian said which made Arthur frowned, did the baron came back again?

He nodded and sighed as he uses his power to transport him to the border where some of his knights was staying to protect it even though it has some barrier that no one could enter it aside from Klartis knights and families that they allowed. He made sure that his daughter will be safe in this place while they were staying here for a while after she fully recovers.
