Chapter 26: The Duchess of Klartis

"What did you see Flamear?" He heard Elidas asked him.

"Nothing" He said as he looked at the girl named Acantha , Flamear knew that it was still not time to let the girl knew about her destiny, he can foresee that hers won’t be easy, it will be difficult and he can see some bloodshed.

He looked around the place do really changed, he wonder what happened to his friend.

Acantha was now in the ground and her father was hugging her tightly, She looks around her and saw the tiger, she knew the tiger is as she saw it on her dream.

"Where are we?" Acantha asked as she noticed that they were in a forest.

"Catanya’s daughter you’re in our home," She heard a small voice and she look to find it and she was surprised when she saw a very tiny girl who has a small wings looking at her.

"Were in the magical forest?" I asked as I looked at everyone who seems to be in lack of sleep.

"Magical forest?"

She heard some small voices and that’s when she saw that there are not just two of them but there are so many of them are there.

""Magical forest?" She looked at the one who speak and she saw that it was the tiger.

"This is what people called this place," The Duke was the one who answered the tiger who looks so serious.

"Magical forest?" This time it was the elder fairy who said it, " This place is called Luxrisn, this where we stay after-" The elder fairy stopped what she was saying as she notice that everyone was listening to her.

That’s when Acantha realized that the tiger that was carrying her awhile ago was the divine beasts that was sleeping in this forest.

She looks at the beasts who seems to be in a deep thoughts.

"Is my daughter healed now?" She looks at the duke who was talking to Hernand who was still not saying a thing.

She saw how her father tapped his former friend and it seems like the two got reconciled without admitting it to each other.

Acantha saw as Hernand went to check her and saw he how he gasped as if he sensed something with her.

"Your" He said as he was still checking her condition.

"What’s wrong?" The duke said as he looked worried as his friend looks at her with confusion on his face.

"She’s healthy, you don’t need to worry about her anymore," Hernand said to her father.

Yes, Acantha also felt in her body, it seems like it became more lighter unlike before that there seems to be wrong with the body itself.

"Is she not going to be unconscious if she will be in contact with someone while they are using their power?" The duke asked as he was still a little bit worried.

"The seal has been removed and I can see her magic overflowing, she’ll be fine," Hernand answered the duke as he was assuring her that she’s gonna be alright.

"It’s quite cold here I think we should go inside the house," The duke said as he looked at her again and this time she can see that he was finally relieved when Hernand assures him, " Thank you for saving my daughter," The duke said as he looked at the fairies and as well as the tiger or she should call the divine beast called Flamear.

Acantha and the rest of them went inside the Klartis palace but the fairies remained at forest as they said they cannot just leave it as the forest contains the tree where the roots of their power and source of life was there.

But Flamear went with there as he said that she was now the owner of this place and he was bound to her when she freed him from being sealed.

That morning while everyone was eating their breakfast, Acantha saw Mildred who she didn’t see last night was rushing to the where they are and she looks happy when she saw her but there seems to be something wrong with her.

"Your Grace, My lady" Mildred greeted her father and her.

"What was it Milldred?" The duke asked him as he looked at the

"T-th" Mildred was a little bit hesitant to tell the duke.

Arthur and Acantha just looked at Mildred who was now sweating as she looks like she was hesitating to say what she’s about to say," B-baron Abellarde was here, he was looking for you, You grace," Mildred said as she sighed .

Acantha looks at her father and was frowning what does the baron need to her father? She saw how the duke’s face darkened as he clenches his jaw.

Arthur knew why that man was here, he must probably smelt that they are here which is he was wondering how as the only person who knew about this is the people on his house.

Mildred looks nervous with the duke’s aura, it looks like he was ready to kill someone.

"Where is he?" Arthur asked as he wanted to know if that motherfucker stepped inside the place.

"The knights stopped him from entering the border and one of them went in here to report that he was demanding to see you," Mildred said as she looked at the duke.

"Stay with your lady here and don’t let her out of your sight," The duke said as soon as he went to to the door.

"What do you think the Baron needs from father, Mildred?" Acantha asked though she already has some ideas, but still why so early? did she broke the timeline? She continued to eat but her thoughts were somewhere.

The duke rushed to the border of the Northern territory he uses his power to teleport him and his horse and when they arrived they saw the Baron who was arguing with his knights. Fabian was also there.

"Why can’t I go inside? This is my family’s territory! I have rights to this land," He heard the Baron yelled at Fabian who didn’t even flinched a bit.

"And who told you that you have a right here?" Arthur was the one who answered it and Baron Abellarde who was yelling a while ago looks at him like he was expecting to see him.

"You already knew that I have rights in here, Duke!" The man still yelled which made Arthur wants to hit his face.

"This place was owned by my late wife’s family, only the direct descendant can have any rights in here," The Arthur said as he looked at the count whose face darkened when he said those things at him.

"I am the rightful owner of this place , I too was direct descendant of the Klartis family," He insisted as he look so smug as he said those words.f

" You knew it yourself count Abellarde, you were just a bastard by some relatives of my wife, but you were not a direct descendants of this house, you must be thankful to be blessed with a small amount of Klartis blood in your veins, if not you won’t even have that tittle with you, "The duke said as he grabbed the count by his collar as he told him those things.

"You can’t deny me with my birth right, whether you like it or not I will claim this land," The count said as he was trying to removed the duke’s hand on him.

"You can do whatever you want but this house has already it’s own master, " Arthur said to him which made him stiffened .

"You-" The count said as he realized what he said.

"Yes, my daughter was now the new duchess of Klartis, so you can go and try to contest it, you didn’t even got any traits of Klartis, or do you even knew about the family?" He said as he look at him.

The count looks mad at what he said as he saw him clenching his fist.

Ever since this man knew about him having a blood of Klartis he kept on demanding to claim the land as his own and telling everyone that he was the rightful heir of this land as he was a man while his late wife was a woman.

How dare he did that?! That was one of the reason why he didn’t like the count, And now the man was trying to go after them again? he was quiet for the past years after his wife died but now , here he was again trying to milk them.

"We’re not done yet, I will get what I deserved, your daughter will never bee a duchess of this place, I will talk to the emperor, you already knew that my daughter Noraya was his highness the crown prince’s betrothed," The Count said confidently which made the duke laugh.

"Do you think you can contest on something I already told the Emperor? The Emperor himself has already given the tittle to my daughter during the ball," Arthur said as he looked at the count who paled.

He already anticipated it, that’s why he talked to the Emperor on giving the tittle to his daughter which the latter also give as he said that it was her birth right as the direct descendant of the house of Klartis.

The Count glared at him as he walked out from the place with his men with him.

That man really didn’t changed, he loves claiming something he doesn’t have any rights, Klartis was know to have their diving power as being the direct descendant of the one who gets blessed by the goddess while on the other side, Nollin Abellarde came from the Klartis who didn’t received the blessing as his descendant stayed on the mountains while the other people from their house were fighting against the enemy.

But, that’s what others didn’t know as he keeps on claiming to be the descendant of the house.

The duke went and use his power again to go back to the Klartis palace.
