Villainess Want's To Ignore Them! -
Chapter 149: The Empress...
Chapter 149: The Empress...
Acantha looked at Helion, who, instead of being disappointed or angry, looked rather satisfied and happy about her father’s punishment for them.
"I think you should go back home..." Acantha said as she sighed while still looking at his face.
"No... We like it here," Helion said as he looked at her.
"Helion... I know why you are here...It’s because of me again, am I right?" Acantha asked as she sighed.
She knows that he and his mother probably got into an argument again because of her, and she didn’t like that.
Yes, she wanted him to stand for her, but not this way.
Helion was a crown prince and an only heir like her.
And as a crown prince, he has some duty not just to his mother and son, but also as a crown prince to everyone.
She needs him to understand that this is not just about them, but also it’s about the whole empire.
Not in this situation where people need to get protected against Abanoon, who was just maybe waiting to find some solutions to her problem.
-------
Abanoon glared when she couldn’t trace the body where she had put the woman’s soul; if she could find it, she could also find the woman who took the necklace that she lent her.
She looked at the jar behind her when she heard someone was screaming there.
Abanoon lifted it up and looked at the woman who was there.
"Hi, there, empress..." Abanoon said as she looked at the empress’s soul that she had switched with one of her demons to control the empire and cause some scene to make Solaia be hated by everyone.
She succeeded, but it seems like her stupid demon was so into her acting that she forgot to report to her. she will punish that stupid thing when she is healed and finds her body.
Abanoon had captured the empress during when she fell in her own nightmare that day when she cast the curse.
Paul was the one who advised her to trap the empress and place a new soul inside her body to have someone’s eyes in the palace.
And she had seen Solaia, who was known to them as Acantha, the daughter of the duke who was supposed to be dead because of the soul sucker she released that was killed by her.
"Now, Now.." Abanoon said as she looked at the small insect where she entrapped her soul.
"You, how could you do this to me..." The empress said as she looked at her and Abanoon smiled at her.
"Aren’t I’m generous? I let someone like speak so I could taste your fury," Abanoon said as she laughed at her.
"Bring me back to my body. I trusted you, Lady Noraya..." The empress said to her as she was still inside the jar.
"For the record, I am not Noraya..." Abanoon said as she looked at the empress, who was in the body of a small insect.
"Mmm... Noraya is in... Let’s just say not so good and not so bad... But hey... I am so kind for not killing her, am I?" Abanoon laughed again at what she said when suddenly she felt dizzy.
Damned...
Abanoon sealed the jar again as she felt that her soul was coming out from her body again.
----------
"You should think. I know you didn’t like your mother always pushing you to someone, but that doesn’t excuse you for just leaving the palace at this time," Acantha said as she looked at him, who was also still looking at her.
"I am not abandoning my people. I have eyes everywhere. Even if I were here, I would know what was going on there, and beside father knew where I am," Helion said to her as he looked at her again.
"The emperor knew?" Acantha said, as she didn’t expect someone who ran away from their home to let someone from there know his own whereabouts.
"Yes, I wouldn’t come if father didn’t agree," Helion said, which made her sigh in relief.
She thought that he had just left the place without any words.
"What about you... It’s been a long time since we have talked so long like this..." Acantha lifted her eyes when Helion asked her.
The question was a little unexpected, as their subject was different.
"I am doing good," Acantha said as she looked away from him.
"I heard everything my mother did to you. I apologize for everything. I know you wouldn’t accept it, but I just want to apologize," Helion said.
Acantha could feel that he was still staring at her.
"And I also heard that your father passed away back then. I tried coming but I found none," Helion said, and this time Acantha could feel the sadness in his voice.
"Yeah, I hid the duchy from people’s eyes. the duchy was just here; it’s just that people assumed that it wasn’t there when it was always there," Acantha said as she looked at her.
"No, I went here the last time, and there were some people who I talked to who lived here," Helion said as she looked at her.
Acantha shook her head as an answer to his question.
"No, those people were just some illusions that came to life. I made them to fool everyone who will come to find the place," Acantha said as she sighed and sat at one of the chairs, as they had been standing for so long.
"I also heard that you went to the Tenebrisaya, and I saw some red light come from the sky." Helion said as he also took the seat in front of her.
"Yes, I -" Acantha stopped in the middle of her sentence when she almost said that she came there to get her memories back.
"We went there to find some answer on how to resurrect my father," Acantha said as she sighed.
She didn’t lie, though; she didn’t say the real reason. it was better for him not to know about it, not when she was sure that Helion was Dromonos’s reincarnation.
"That’s why the duke was still alive now..." Helion said as he nodded.
"What about those earthquakes here? Did something happen in Tenebrisaya that you fought?" He continued as he looked at her again this time.
"Abanoon had detected that we were there, and oh..." Acantha said as she looked at him, who also looked back at her.
"I saw our empire’s crest in some of Abanoon’s people she brought with her. I tried removing her mask but it has some spell that can’t be removed. I was afraid to remove it when I learned what spell she put on it; it was tied to a person’s life that might die if I removed it," Acantah said as she looked at Helion, who was now clenching his fist.
"You said you saw the empire’s crest from Abanoon’s people?" Helion asked her and Acantha nodded in answer.
"There were about six or seven of them," Acantha said as she looked at him and saw how mad he looked right now.
"Zerth, Diego, and Erkin, along with Flamear, fought against them to hold them back while I was half dead..." Acantha said, and her eyes widened at what she said.
"Half dead? What happened ? Did something happen there to you?" Helion asked her as he looked worried and angry at the same time.
"No, it was a long story. they tried holding them, but Abanoon was more powerful; she had broken the barrier that Flamear had set," Acantha said as she looked at him, who still looked angry.
"I woke up when Abanoon was about to stab me with some ancient dagger with her." Acantha and she stiffened when she remembered something.
"What was it?" Helion looked at her worriedly when she stood up.
"I forgot something; we need to find the dagger of justice and death... It was once a possession of the goddess of justice, who was killed by Abanoon when she stabbed her with that dagger," Acantha said as she walked back and forth.
"Then is it with Abanoon?" Helion asked her as he was frowning at her.
"No, If I remembered, Abanoon was caught after killing the goddess and she left the dagger there," Acantha said as she looked
Acantha stopped what she was saying when she felt that Helion was staring at her; when she looked at him, he looked rather suspicious at her.
"How did you know all of these?" Helion asked her and Acantha stiffened at what he said.
She gulped when he looked at her. Damn, why is her tongue slipping so easily these days?
"Flamear had told me before," Acantha said as she managed not to stutter and blink as she met his eyes.
"But if it happened in there, how could we go there?" Helion asked her as he looked at her like he was confused.
"No, the realm was destroyed as the immortals sacrificed their lives just to maintain the world; only the supreme God was left but he didn’t leave in the palace." Acantha almost slapped herself at what she was saying.
"I mean, Flamear had brought the knife with him; when he was sealed, he was about to give it to his old master but he lost it," Acantha explained, which made Helion nod at her.
She sighed when she saw him nod and seems to be thinking something...
