Villainess Want's To Ignore Them! -
Chapter 140: Di Santris Banquet Chaos...
Chapter 140: Di Santris Banquet Chaos...
Everyone went silent when the door opened and three uninvited guests entered.
Acantha looked at the three people who just came in.
She didn’t expect them to find her that fast; she was sure she made herself clear when she left the palace that she didn’t want to do anything with them anymore.
The empress was smiling at everyone that was greeting her. The emperor was just nodding and seemed like he saw her father as he parted ways from his wife.
"There her majesty is." She looked at Lady Yarin when she said those words while she was looking at her with a smirk on her face.
"Your Majesty!" She yelled as she tried to get the empress’s attention, which she succeeded in doing as the latter went to where they were and smiled at the lady who called her.
"Lady Yarin... It’s been along time. How have you been?" The empress greeted the lady and seemed to be still oblivious of her presence, as her smile was still on her face.
"I am fine, Your Majesty," the lady said as she smiled sweetly at the empress, which almost made Acantha roll her eyes at the two.
"Are your mother and father here? I am dying to talk to Baron Yarin about the gift he sent me last time. I forgot to wear it today, as I think it won’t be appropriate to wear such a beautiful necklace to this banquet," the empress said as she grimaced a little bit when she looked at the place.
"No worries, Your Majesty. Father and Mother understand, looking at this place, this didn’t give any riches; it was a shame since Count Di Santris and Lord Roys were two of the richest people here in the south. Of course, we are richer than them," Lady Yarin said as she laughed a little.
"That stupid girl, who does she think she is?" Acantha turned and saw that Dreanna was clenching her hands into fists.
"The Yarins never played fair in the first place, and besides, they were not even from here originally," said Lady Evangeline as she glared at where Lady Yarin was.
"That’s right... " Lady Dreanna said as she was still looking at Lady Yarin, who was still talking to the empress.
Acantha was frowning at what she was hearing from the two, as far as she remembered. Lady Yarin introduces herself and tells her that Yarin’s is one of the richest families here.
"If I remembered it correctly... Yarin used to live in the countryside of the west not until three years ago, when they decided to live here to put their businesses here, Lady Dreanna said as she looked at Lady Evangeline
"That’s right, Father was even surprised when their wealth started booming within a short span," Lady Evangeline said as she looked at the lady suspiciously.
"Didn’t they come here before?" Acantha asked as she seemed to get lost again at what they were saying or maybe she was getting dumber after she exhausted her energy today.
"No... They were not from here." Lady Dreanna answered her as they looked at the lady who was still having a fun talk with the empress.
"Oh, by the way, Your Majesty, I was with company here," Lady Yarin said as she smirked when she turned to the three of them.
"Your Majesty," Lady Dreanna and Lady Evangeline greeted the empress while Acantha pretended not to see the latter.
"Lady Acantha, aren’t you being rude for not greeting the empress?" Lady Yarin said to her as she smirked again.
Seriously, does this lady think that she looks cool by smirking at her evilly?
"I should apologize on her behalf, Your Majesty, since my new friend seems to lack her education here." She continued, which made the other two ladies gasp at what she said.
"Don’t bother, Lady Yarin. Lady Acantha and I knew that. Didn’t we, Lady Acantha?" The empress said to her as she gave her a death glare.
"I don’t know what you are talking about, Your Majesty," she said as she gave her a cold stare, which made the empress grit her teeth.
That’s right, why would she try to please someone who, from the very first day, bluntly made it clear that she hates her? Besides, just like what she said the last time, she was done pleasing people.
"And Lady Yarin?" Acantha said as she called the lady’s attention, who seemed surprised at what she did.
"I don’t remember us being friends; you’re just someone who keeps on introducing herself to me, and for the record, I didn’t lack in education; it’s just that I don’t want to please anyone," she said as she gave the two a death glare.
She doesn’t care if she was the empress or Helion’s mother; still, she has no right to insult her every time their paths cross.
And besides, she still hasn’t forgiven her for bringing up her late mother’s name to insult her.
"You are really out of your mind, Lady Acantha... How dare you mock our empress?" Lady Yarin said as she finally seemed to have a grasp of what she did.
"Oh? How is that mocking? Am I mocking anyone? Am I?" Acantha said as she looked at Lady Dreanna and Lady Evangeline, whose eyes were twinkling in awe at what she did.
"You have gone too far, Lady Acantha. I can’t believe someone like you, who was acting like those people who live in the slums, was born in nobility." Lady Yarin continued as she took a walk to her and she was about to throw her some wine when Acantha used her power without even lifting a finger.
"W-what’s that?" She heard Lady Yarin ask as she was pointing at the glass she was about to pour at her floating in the air.
But because she had been pissing her off the whole time, Acantha won’t leave her. She had been slipping her this time but the lady seems to have hit her limit now.
She throw the glass of wine to the lady-
"Ahhh!!" Lady Yarin screamed as the wine poured on her clothes that looked like a wedding cake with so many decorations.
The other noble was watching them but no one dared to take a step when they saw who was there.
"You crossed the line, Lady Acantha! How dare you do that to Lady Yarin?!" The empress yelled angrily as she was trying to help the lady whose clothes were now wet because of what she threw back at her.
"Isn’t she the one who’s going to throw that to me, Your Majesty?" Acantha said calmly as she raised her eyebrows to the empress.
How pathetic...
Daring to throw something like that to her, but when she returned the favor to her, she couldn’t even take it well...
"You really have no shame in your bones, have you?" The empress said as the other lady was taken by her personal maid to change her clothes.
"Are you talking about yourself, Your Majesty?" Acantha asked and she even yawned to make the empress see that she had no interest in talking to her.
"You! You are really nothing compare to your M-"
The empress yelled, which she didn’t finish as Acantha’s power burst and broke the glasses that were there in the room.
"As I said... My mother wouldn’t like it if you keep on bringing her name to torment me," Acantha said as she looked at Empress, who looked scared at what she did.
Everyone who was in that place gasped in shock at what just happened.
"You! Take her away," the empress said as she called her knights, who just looked at her and seemed to be hesitating on what to do.
"What are you waiting for?" The empress asked as she looked at the knight, who just caressed their head as they followed the empress’s order with hesitation.
"Lay your finger on her and I will kill you." Acantha felt a deadly aura behind the knights back and there she saw Helion, who was having a deadly aura at the moment.
He was with Erni and Jarnus, who was smiling when they saw her.
"It’s been a long time, Lady Acantha." Ernie greeted her, smiling, while Jarnus was already serious and was holding his own sword, ready to fight anyone.
"Crown Prince, what are you doing here?" The empress said, which made Jarnus and Ernie bow their headss to her to greet her, but they were still holding their swords with her.
"What are you doing, Mother?" Helion asked the empress, whose eyes were getting uneasy at what her son asked her.
"I-I was simply talking to Lady Acantha. As you see, I am trying myself to be good to her," the empress said as she looked at her and gave her some glare.
"That’s not what I am seeing, Mother," Helion said to the empress, which made her more uneasy.
"No, I was really just talking to her, and besides, I called the knight to help her," the empress still try to say some nonsense.
Helion didn’t answer his mother, but instead he just looked at her, which Acantha did the same to him. Their eyes met and he seemed to be asking her whether she was fine or not.
"Since you are here, why don’t I intro-"
The empress didn’t finish her sentence when Helion pulled her by her hand and they disappeared.
