Villainess Want's To Ignore Them!
Chapter 137: The Blessing..

Chapter 137: The Blessing..

"We were glad that the duke put some barrier here in the south; it really helps us from getting attacked by those things that were sucking the soul out of people’s bodies," Lady Dreanna said to her as she smiled with relief in her eyes.

"There are so many people who died because of them," Lady Roys said as she deeply sighed.

"But Lady Acantha, we heard some rumors that you were the one who brought some curse to our empire, but we didn’t believe it," she continued as she looked at her.

"Yes, there are so many people who joined in coming to your house, and they even had a torch with them, wondering who started the rumor," Lady Dreanna said as she looked at her as she was frowning.

Acantha damned well knew who started it; who could have very strong words against her?

Helion’s mother has been getting on her nerves...

At first she was trying to understand her as she was a mother who was just worried for her son’s welfare, and besides, she doesn’t have a good reputation and she understands why some people were still hostile at her, but she was on another level.

The empress seemed to hate her very existence based on her reasons; it was so lame of her.

She didn’t even know why she did that to Lady Noraya, who keeps on talking behind her back and even spreading some misinformation about her being the one who killed her own mother when she was born.

The way people who were always easy to judge her without even knowing the reason why the old Acantha was like that.

She was a lonely child.

The duke always left her, and she feels alone inside the big house.

She just wanted to have her father’s attention and let him know that she was still there.

The old Acantha could barely see the duke; if he was not in the war, he was always in the training ground to train the knight, and she remembered that he was also teaching some kids back then, and she knew Helion was one of them, as he had already told her that before.

"Are you alright, Lady Acantha?" She was back to her senses when someone tapped her on her shoulders and she looked to see who it was, and she saw the concerned looks from Lady Roys and Lady Dreanna.

She forgot about them as she was being engulfed by the past Acantha’s memories and her pains.

"I’m fine," Acantha said as she reassured them.

"How long are you going to stay here?" Acantha changed the subject as she looked at them again.

"Our families decided that we should stay here for the meantime; they said it’s safer here than in the capital," Lady Dreanna said to her as she looked back to their families, who were still talking to her father.

"Father said that the duke told them that we should stay here for the meantime and even asked us to go to the Solaris," Lady Roys said as she looked at her.

The Solaris was at the border between the south and the capital. It was big but not so big as the Solaris duchy was originally here in the south, but her father decided to build their home between the borders, as it was meant to be a watcher of the two.

The Solaris family was also blessed by the dragons; that’s where they got their power of lightning, and the name came from the power of the goddess of light, which is her.

"You should stay here," Acantha said as she stood up and removed all the grass that was on her clothes.

She looked around again and saw that the barrier seems weaker her than in the Solaris.

"Flamear and I will strengthen the barrier here in the south," she continued as she closed her eyes to summon Flamear, who appeared immediately.

"You called, My Lady?" Flamear asked her as he was in his original form, and she saw the two women gasp when they saw and heard him talk.

"I-is that real?" she heard Lady Roys say as she looked shocked at what she was seeing.

"Did it just talk?" Lady Dreanna said as she, too, looked so stunned at Flamear’s original form.

Acantha sighed as she looked at the two ladies who were still in shock. She forgot that whenever Flamear was here, the duke was hiding him in his cape while they were securing their territories.

But wait?

Didn’t they already see him when she fought some monsters back then?

She looked at Flamear, who was also looking at her.

"What happened? It seems like they didn’t remember seeing you before?" She asked as she looked at Flamear, who looked at her as he sighed.

"I altered their memories; I just erased their memories of seeing me that day as I don’t want it to spread and get to where Abanoon was way back then," Flameard explained to her as he looked at the two ladies who were still looking at him, with their eyes open wide in shock.

Acantha knew that what Flamear did was necessary; if Abanoon had known back then that Flamear had already woken up, she would have probably done everything to kill her.

The times when she still didn’t know who she was and couldn’t master the power that she has.

Acantha faces the two ladies and fakes a cough to get their attention.

"Lady Roys, Lady Dreanna, this is Flamear," Acantha said as she introduced Flamear to them formally.

"Nice to meet you, Lady Roys and Lady Dreanna," Flamear said as he bowed his head to greet the two formally.

"He can talk. How is that possible?" Lady Roys said as she was looking at Flamear in awe.

"How did you get him, Lady Acantha? Lady Dreanna said as she looked at her and back to Flamear again, who was being petted by Lady Roys now.

"Flamear was my familiar," Acantha said as she looked at where Flamer and Lady Roys were.

She knew that Flamear also knew that these two ladies had a good heart, as that is one of the traits of the divine beasts: they knew whether that person was good or bad.

"Familiar? But this doesn’t just look like a normal familiar, Lady Acantha," Lady Dreanna said as she pointed at Flamear, who had now changed his form and was now in Lady Roys arms.

"I have seen some familiars before, as I also studied at the tower of magic, and the powerful magicians there, even the head of the magic tower, don’t have this kind of familiar," Lady Dreanna said as she looked at her.

She didn’t know that the lady was a former student there. As far as she knew, people do have their natural mana, but mostly they rely on the mana stones to become stronger, and there are also some people who just learned how to use magic, and there were also people who were blessed with their magic on their body when they were born.

And mostly the people who were at the magic tower were the people who either learned how to use magic and alchemy, and some were the people who were blessed by a goddess like her.

"I didn’t know you went to the tower of magic, Lady Dreanna," Acantha said as she looked at her.

"We were blessed by some goddess, our clan, I mean. We received some blessing from one of the goddesses way back then, but because of not practicing so much, the power or blessing was already faint," Lady Dreanna said as she looked sad at her.

"That’s why I understand how it feels to be disappointed. As the years passed by, people had been looking down at Constrin House, as back then we produced the powerful magicians, but it was now dying out. I was the last hope of our family, but my powers weren’t good enough." Lady Dreanna said as she looked down at the grass, looking like she was about to cry.

Acantha knew the reason why their blessings were dying: it must be because one of their ancestors had become corrupted by the dark magic, which is forbidden for those people who were blessed by the gods and goddesses.

She looked at the lady and held her hand.

"W-what are you doing, Lady Acantha?" Lady Constrin looked at her.

She didn’t answer her; instead, she closed her eyes and felt her power.

"May the blessing of light be with you," Acantha said as she opened her eyes, and there was a sudden light that was falling on the lady who was looking at her in shock.

"W-what did you do, Lady Acantha?" Lady Dreanna asked her as she looked at her hand that was glowing. "Y-your eyes. What’s wrong with your eyes?" she continued as she looked like she couldn’t believe what she just witnessed with her two eyes.

"May you use that ability to help those who are in need of help," Acantha said as she didn’t answer Lady Dreanna, who was just tearing up.

She knew that Lady Dreanna probably knew what she was, as only goddesses and gods can give some blessing to people.

Not even the high priest in their empire could do that.

"Flamear." Acantha called Flamear, who jumped out from Lady Roy’s arms and went to her.

"Let’s secure this place," she said as she looked at the two ladies as they both disappeared from their sight.
