Villainess Want's To Ignore Them! -
Chapter 121: Past, Future, Past...
Chapter 121: Past, Future, Past...
Acantha looked at the family in front of her as they were feasting on the food that the children got for their grandmother. Now she understood why those children kept on stealing food from the capital, where everything was there, while here... The place is barren.
She tried looking for any plants, but there were none. Not even a single animal can be found here.
There was also a river but it was dry.
She looked again at them with warmth in her heart as she could see that they were happy with some simple things, simple things that she never appreciated at first.
She was too busy looking and seeking for her parents love that she forgot that she was still luckier and more fortunate than the other kids.
"My lady, are you alright?" Acantha looked at Fabian, who was looking at her while frowning.
"I am fine, Fabian." Acantha said as she looked at him and nodded.
"Madame, thank you for healing my granny." Acantha looked at the kid in front of her and she saw it was Mir.
"It was nothing," Acantha said as she patted his head.
Mir just smiled at her and went back to his grandmother.
Acantha looked at them again and saw that the old woman was looking at her with warmth in her eyes and looking so grateful for what she did.
They stayed at the house and it was already night when the children were already asleep when they went to sleep.
Acantha looked at Belya, who went out from their house.
She and the others were just outside their house, as the neighbor’s house was a little far; that must be the reason why the children took so long to get something from their neighbor.
They already have eaten some food that they bought from the capital back in the morning.
"This is the only thing I could offer for you." Belya said when Acantha and others refused the food the kids bought for her, she said it was for her, not for them.
"It’s alright, you don’t need to worry about us." Acantha said as she accepted the tea that Belya made for them, and she passed it to the others.
"I need to talk to you about the thing we talked about this afternoon." Belya said as she sat on the chair outside their house.
"I know what that prophecy was talking about." Belya continued, which made Acantha stop sipping from her cup.
"The land that the prophecy was talking about is none other than the big lake at the other village, but you can’t see it with your eyes." Belya said as she sighed and looked at her worriedly.
"What do you mean?" Acantha asked as she frowned at Belya, though she had some hunches based on the writings they had, but she didn’t know it was real.
"It says only when you die the gate will be open; the next village does not exist in a living person’s eyes, only souls can pass through it." Belya continued as she looked at her again.
"We came from the tribe of people who can foresee some happenings in the future and past." Belya said as she looked at her.
"But you are different; I can’t see your future or your past. All I can see from the prophecy is that someone will come here from the other place and find the way to find her past." Belya explained to her.
Acantha just nodded at her. She was looking at her like she was hesitant to send her there.
"Normally I can tell people their future and their past, but now maybe I am getting old." She continued as she chuckled nervously.
"Don’t worry, Belya." Acantha said as she put the cup on her side as she finished drinking her tea.
"But how will you do it?" Belya asked her and Acantha just smiled at her; she still hasn’t figured it out.
Flamear and the others were listening while looking worried for her.
They all sleep that night and when the morning comes, Acantha bids farewell to the kids and Belya.
They traveled across the land and all she could see was a deserted land; there wasn’t even any water or any oasis that they could rest on.
"Flamear, can we build some place here for when travelers pass in this area?" Acantha asked as she looked really tired, feeling very hot.
Flamear nodded at her and Acantha started using her own power to create things.
She uses her power to create a small oasis for them.
She forgot about one of Solaia’s ability is to create life.
But she still didn’t know how to bring someone’s back to life.
That’s the reason why they were here in the first place.
To bring the duke back to life.
She sighed when they finally rested for awhile.
Acantha was drinking some water when she remembered something.
Back in the north, when she first met Flamear and Solaia and the fairies.
Maybe she could tell Flamear her plan.
"Flamear." Acantha called Flamear, who was eating some meat.
"Do you remember the first time we met while you were still sleeping in the magical forest?" Acantha said as she looked at Flamear, who just nodded at her while he stopped from eating his meat.
"You and the fairies met me when I was out of my body, back then." Acantha said, which made Fabian and others look at them as they had no idea what they were talking about.
"Maybe you can remove my soul from here and make me sleep while I find the way to the land of souls and river of the past.
"That’s possible." Flamear, he said as he looked at her and seemed to think what she was saying made some sense.
"You mean that you don’t have to die, my lady?" Zerth was the one who asked that question to her.
"No, I don’t," Acantha said as she shook her head.
"But we needed to put some barrier in here, a strong barrier." Flamear, he said as he looked at her.
Acantha knew what he meant: the moment they used such a powerful ritual, it was going to let Abanoon and the others detect her.
And she and Flamear were so sure that Abanoon would come here any moment from when they will start to make the ritual.
"Yes, we needed to guard this place, and please. Fabian, Diego, and Zerth, be careful. When you see Abanoon and the others, if she has the soul sucker, do not make eye contact with it." Acantha said as she and Flamear set the barrier around the area where she was going to do the ritual.
When she and Flamear had finished setting up the barrier.
Flamear drew a circle that was familiar to her, but Acantha didn’t mind it anymore as she was in a hurry.
Time would be their enemy and of course, Abanoon.
Flamear cut her hand and drew the symbol that she saw in Solaia’s book.
Acantha closes her eyes when she feels them heavy.
She just wished that they were still safe when she came back in her body again.
-------
Abanoon was drinking with her people; the other people who were here with them today had joined them.
These are the traitors in their own empire.
But of course, she was hiding her face, as Paul had already told her that the face or the body she stole was from a beloved lady in this empire.
"Now, now for our next plan, we needed to send more of our troops to push the knights of this empire to the edge." One of the noblemen here in Luminsarian said as he took a bite of his meat.
Abanoon smirked at what he said.
These people were greedy, greedy for power and money.
She looked at everyone as they were looking like they had won a war against their enemies.
But Abanoon was still waiting for that woman to come out from wherever she was hiding.
It has been weeks since her last intervention for her plan.
Abanoon was gritting her teeth She had been doing a lot of things to make her come out, but still she wasn’t.
She also made a visit to the place where they last met but the place was gone.
Abanoon heard Paul and his silly son fought back then and she heard that the woman’s father was already dead and that’s the reason why she turned her back on her empire.
She almost laughed. Since when did she ever learn how to get angry?
Now, she must be mistaking her for Solaia, as the Solaia she knew didn’t know how to get angry.
Abanoon was about to take her glass when she suddenly felt something.
She knew this. Now, how did they go there without them getting noticed by their power?
Abanoon gritted her teeth and clenched her hand into fist as she looked at above and yelled which shake the whole place.
