Chapter 120: The Way To The Past....

Acantha looked at the woman cluelessly.

She was sure she read different but almost the same words from the book she got.

"The clue has always been different based on what they have heard about it." Acantha looked at the old lady as she coughed again this time.

"Are you alright?" Acantha asked worriedly as the old woman continued to cough.

"I am alright." The old woman said to her, but Acantha saw some blood on her handkerchief after she coughed from it.

"Granny, we are back." They heard three small voices said and from the sounds of their feet, it seems like they were running.

"Oh, that fast." The old woman smiled at her grandchildren while trying to hide the handkerchief that had some blood on it.

"We have some food that we brought with us from the capital." Mir said to their grandmother as they put the food on plate for their grandmother.

"Where did you get this again?" The old woman asked worriedly, "Did you all steal this from there again?" She continued to ask her grandchildren.

The three children were just bowing their heads as their grandmother was trying to teach them a lesson using her words.

"I told you didn’t have to steal some food." The old woman said as she looked at her grandchildren, whose heads were still on the ground.

"But you were sick, Granny." Bruke said as his eyes started to get teary.

"We just wanted you to get well, Granny." Larissa said as she sobbed.

"We can’t lose you too." Mir said as he looked at his grandmother, who was watching them warmly.

"Mother and father were already gone; we only have you, Granny." Mir continued as he hugged his grandmother.

The old woman just smiled at her grandchildren and they all hugged each other.

"I-I can help you." Acantha said as her throat was drying up as she remembered her grandfather, who died while she was away that day.

Her grandfather was sick and her mother and father sent her to do the business deal while they were at the hospital. Later that day she learned that they just went to play in the casino and let her grandfather die alone in that lonely room in the hospital.

That’s why her family hates her , because they learned that she was named as the heir of every fortune that her grandfather left.

Well, except for her parents, who were happy, as they said it’s all worth the embryo and sperm that they put in another woman’s womb to give birth to her, as they can now enjoy the lavish life that they wanted without even lifting a finger.

But she made some changes to it and let everyone know that she could only take over all of her inheritance when she turns 20 but sadly, it seems like her evil cousin, who was always competing against her, has another plan. she knew she was the one who was behind her accident and the reason why she was here.

Her cousin killed her to get everything from her, but she was smarter than her; just like the old days, she was always two steps ahead of her.

She made a will that the moment she dies, all of her inheritance will go to the charity. And she even sent her lawyer evidence about the threats she’s been receiving as well as evidence that it was her cousin who killed her.

She also knew what she did to her friend.

Jessie killed her friend and she doesn’t know what happened anymore, as she just knew it an hour before she met her tragic end.

Her cousin was always behind her; she was like her shadow, even though she didn’t want her to feel that.

Jessie was an illegitimate child of her uncle’s wife, but even so, he adopted her as his own daughter, as he said he couldn’t have a child of his own.

We just knew about her when she was already thirteen years old while I was around eight years old, and yes, she was older than me.

At first she was just like a lonely kid, but there is something really wrong with her.

She did everything to please the family; my grandpa praises her for doing a lot of hard work and every achievement she had.

But everything changed when she learned about my accomplishment and we went to the same school and even class. As I was accelerated and she was late, she had a friend who she was always with and her name is Clara.

Clara was kind, and she didn’t even know why she befriended someone like Jessie. But when she was still Lucille, she always gave her the benefit of the doubt, but Jessi got worse and worse over the years.

She was always angry at her and always mad at every achievement she made.

Jessie even had the guts to confront her about being so self-centered and attention-seeking.

Like what?

When did those things happen?

Is it my fault Grandfather was literally the one who raised me, as my beloved parents were always away and always on trips and left me with just some maids and butlers?

She was even luckier as her mother had some care for her, but it was still not enough for her.

Jessie hates being compared to her,, as she said she can’t do better things if people keep on comparing her to her.

Now, she was wondering what may happen to that woman. Probably in jail.

She had given her so many chances for her to change, and yet she didn’t.

"Can you really help our granny?"

Acantha was back to reality when someone poked her on her arm and said those words to her.

When she looked, she saw the little girl who was now in front of her. While looking hopeful for something, she said.

"Is that really true? You can help her?" This time Acantha saw the other two boys who also had the same hope in their eyes for their sick grandmother.

"Yes..." Acantha said as she nodded. She looked at the old woman and touched her and used her power to heal her.

"Am I healed? I feel better. And oh, I am not coughing now." The old woman said as a tear fell from her eyes as she said those words and hugged her grandchildren.

"You have a power?" She looked at the four of them as she nodded.

"But how?" She looked at the three children, but the old woman seemed not to be as shocked as she was when she came here a while ago.

"I was born with it." Acantha said as she nodded at the three children.

"Granny has one too; she can see some , what was it again, Granny?" Larissa asked her grandmother as she looked confused at what she said.

"I can see some things, Larie." The old woman said before she looked at her, " We;ve been talking for so long and yet we still haven’t introduced ourselves to each other. I am Belya.

"My name is Acantha. And this is Fabian, Diego, Zerth, and Flamear." Acantha introduces the others to the four.

And the old woman was even shocked when she saw Flamear in his true form.

"Is that a divine beast? I saw that you were coming here and that you have an important role in the coming chaos in this world, but I didn’t expect you to have such a powerful divine beast." The old woman said as she looked at Flamear with admiration on her face.

"Yes, this is Flamear, my friend and my divine beast familiar." Acantha said as she nodded at the old woman.

The three children rushed to Flamear and played with his fur.

"But that kind of divine beast can’t be seen anymore, after all the goddesses had died rebuilding this place after the battle of the twin goddesses that killed almost all the people." The old woman said and Acantha looked at her as she knew she was talking about Solaia and Abanoon in the past.

But how does she know about them?

Aren’t people supposed to forget about Solaia and Abanoon?

She eyes the elderly woman as she is curious how she learned about it.

-----------------------

Everyone was struggling with their defense as the monster suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Helion had been feeling frustrated these past few days as the monsters kept on coming like they weren’t getting fewer.

He was already losing so many people. And yet here are the monsters again, like those who were on Abanoon’s side didn’t even know the word tired, as they keep on sending them monsters every day.

He had been staying awake for awhile and losing a lot of his sleep time.

He looked at the palace not so far from where they were.

Not only was the monster their problem, but also those soul-sucker things.

He just wish that the duke was still there with them Helion was sure that their empire wouldn’t be struggling and would have stood against Abanoon and her people.

He looked in front of him again as he felt the sand brush his face from the wind that was cause by the force from the monster when it fell into the ground.
