Chapter 105: She Was Still The Villainess In Someone’s eyes.

Chapter 105: She Was Still The Villainess In Someone’s eyes.

Everyone who was in the room stopped when the empress stopped moaning in pain and slowly opened her eyes.

"W-what happened?" Helen asked as she saw them standing beside her bed.

"You fell from a slumber for almost two days..." Dion said to his wife while he was caressing her hair.

Helen just nodded in surprise and roamed her eyes at the corner and there she saw Arthur’s daughter, who was playing something.

The sound brings comfort to her ears, as well as making her feel some mixed emotions.

She looks again in another corner of the room; there she sees her son, who seems to be lost in his own world.

They were all too busy when suddenly they heard a loud bang that came from the corner.

Arthur, who looked on in worry as it might be his daughter, saw Helion who was now lying unconscious on the floor.

"Your Highness!" Arthur shouts as he rushes to him, which caught the others attention, and right there they saw that he was lying unconscious on the floor.

------------

Acantha stopped playing when she heard that there seemed to be some commotion that was happening.

She looked and saw Helion who was lying unconscious.

Acantha put the instrument down and rushed to where he was.

"What happened?" she asked when Gineo put Helion on one of the sofas.

"We just found him here unconscious," her father said as Hernand was checking Helion who was now lying on the sofa.

"He looks fine, but his body seems to be tired." Hernand said as he looked at them or rather, was looking at the Empress and the Emperor, who looked worried at their son’s condition.

"Let’s just let him rest and he will be alright." Hernand continued as he went to where the Empress was lying while the emperor was still on her side holding her hands.

Acantha looked at the empress and sighed; it seemed like she was already okay as she was already woken up.

She turned to where Flamear was and saw him lying where she was sitting a while ago.

"Are you alright too, Flamear?" she asked worriedly as Flamear looked beat up.

It seems like he had used most of his energy since they were attacked the last time.

"No, I am tired. I need to eat some meat." Flamear said to her, which made her chuckle.

"Okay, I’ll just go outside to ask for food." Acantha said, as she too was feeling hungry.

They have been here since morning, and they went to Klartis to talk to Elida, and now it is already evening and they still haven’t eaten anything.

She took a glance at Helion and saw that the Empress was looking at her before she walked out from the palace to look for someone to ask for some food.

Acantha still feels awkward with her, even though Helion had assured her that his mother was a good woman.

It wasn’t what she saw and the treatment that she gave her the last time didn’t seem to be kind for her. So, it was only natural to her that she felt awkward in her presence.

She walks through the hallway and sees that the servants and maids are all busy with their own work, and she also notices that each maid has their own tasks.

When she went down on the staircase, she made sure that her shoes didn’t make any sounds, as she didn’t want to bother them or disturb them while they were working.

Acantha was on the last step of the stairs when another maid arrived at the place and saw her.

"Lady Acantha!" She said loudly as her eyes widened when she saw her.

Acantha saw that the other maids and servants also looked at her like she did something.

"Greetings Lady Acantha." They all bow their heads to give some courtesy to her.

Acantha just looked at them and nodded.

"Is there anything you want, Lady Acantha?" One of the maids asked her cheerfully as she went near to her.

"I just want to ask for some food. Just bring it in the Empress room." Acantha said coldly as she looked at the woman who was looking at her cheerfully as she nodded and got her some food.

"

Acantha turned around and walked again to the stairs as she heard the voices behind her.

"Who would have thought that it would be Lady Acantha who would help the empire and save the people?" Acantha heard one of the men say.

"Yes, I also thought it would be Lady Noraya as she has some powers that could help us, but who would have thought that Lady Acantha, who was known for not having any magic, would be the one to do it?" She still heard them whisper as she was walking up the stairs.

"Could it be that then Lady was using some forbidden spell to look like a hero?" Acantha clenches her fist when she hears one of the maids say.

"Like as we all know, she doesn’t have any powers and then all of a sudden she got one? Don’t you think it was odd?" One of the maid said and Acantha stopped walking for awhile.

"That’s what I’m thinking... What if Lady Acantha was behind all of this and she sold her soul to the demon to gain some powers?" The other one said and she heard them gasp at what she said.

"I also heard that they were here to help the empress." She heard one of the maids say, and Acantha turned around and snapped to look at them and she saw that they drifted away from each other when they saw her looking at them.

How could people be so ungrateful?

That even if you did some good, they will still think bad about it

Like everything she did has a hidden motive...

She sighed as she continued to walk...

People seem to always remember and think the worst of her, not the good one...

She was near the door when the door suddenly opened and there she saw the duke go out while he was carrying Flamear.

"Are you sure she didn’t use any dark magic on me?" She heard what the empress said and she knew that she was talking to her.

"No, Your Majesty. Lady Acantha has tremendous divine power." She heard Hernand say as she was defending her name from the Empress.

"Her? As far as I know, Catanya’s daughter has a weak body that she can’t even have a power inside her." The empress continued and Acantha saw how her father clenched his fist as he was listening.

She even saw him sigh and do some breathing in and out as he was trying to calm himself.

"What are you both doing here, Father?" Acantha asked him, and he was even startled, as it seemed like he wasn’t aware of her presence.

"You’re finally here." Her father said as he was still holding Flamear as he walked towards her.

"What about this? Can you explain this?! " She head the empress yelled inside.

"What do you mean, Helen?" She was sure that it was the emperor who said those.

"This all started when that lady stepped her feet in here! Not only that, she drove my son away from me!" She heard the Empress say as she was yelling inside.

"Do you hear yourself? She was Catanya’s daughter! She was your best friend’s and my best friend’s daughter and the one who helped you! But here you are trying to make it as if she was the one who did that to you." Acantha heard the emperor raise his voice against his wife as he was trying to knock some sense into her head.

"Now, see? This is what I’m saying. She was even making you side with her and not me!" The empress said, as she raised her voice, this time the emperor didn’t say anything.

Acantha couldn’t bear it anymore, but before she could even take a step, the duke went inside.

She followed him, as she saw how angry he was.

"How dare you say that to my daughter?!" the duke said as his eyes were glaring at the empress, who looked surprised when they both entered the room.

"What are you doing here, Arthur? You’re not allowed to just barge in here! You must really have forgotten your status." The empress said as she glared at her father, who was ready to fight.

"Well, I don’t care, Helen! Since you are disrespecting my daughter in the worst way, I might say this is the end of her help in this empire, since, as you said, she was the one who brought this? Then she won’t be helping anyone anymore and risks her life on saving those ungrateful people!" the duke said as he lashed out at the empress, who was startled and seemed to get scared at how her father looks right now.

"Arthur-" The emperor was about to say something but the duke stopped him.

"Your wife crossed the line so many times, Dion, and I’ve been patient with her, you know that, and the last time I also just let it slide because we are friends. But know? My mother helped her and yet she was thinking the worst of my daughter." The duke said as he grabbed her hand.

"I’m sorry." The emperor said helplessly Acantha saw pain in his eyes as he was torn between his wife and his best friend.

"I’m sorry too, but this time we won’t be helping this empire anymore." The duke said as he pulled her to teleport them.

Before they left Acantha still saw Helion who was still lying in there and unaware of what just happened.
