Chapter 103: Everyone’s Nightmares...

Acantha and Flamear arrived at the North; they were walking on their way inside the forest as they couldn’t just get inside the forest as it has some ancient barrier that she still hasn’t learned how to manage.

"Elida" Flamear called as soon as they reached where the forest is.

"Flamear." They both looked when someone spoke behind them and then they saw Elida, who looked exhausted.

"What’s wrong?" Flamear said as he asked his friend as he noticed that she didn’t look good.

"It’s just we’ve been feeling some dark energy," Elida said as she looked at Flamear with worry in her eyes.

"What brings you here? I heard you already got the book." Elida asked as she sighed.

"Yes, But -" Acantha saw the hesitation in Flamear’s eyes as he stopped when he realized something.

"But what?" Elida asked softly.

Flamear looked at her, and Acantha knew that he wanted her to be the one to spill the news to the elder fairy.

"She’s back." Acantha said and she saw Elida stiffen.

"Who?" Elida asked as she looked bothered, and right there she saw some small lights coming in their direction, which she knew were the fairies.

"Abanoon." Acantha replied and she saw the panic in the elder fairy’s eyes.

"Oh, no, the witch is back!"

"Abanoon is back?!"

"No, we’re doomed!"

Acantha heard the fairies panicked at what she said.

"That can’t be; we looked for her body and burned it." Elida said, which made Acantha stop.

She thought it was some travelers who got Abanoon’s body and that’s why she was even confused how on earth someone could get a hold of her body when it was sealed.

"No, Elida. She was right, Abanoon was really back." Flamear said as he looked at his old friend, who seemed to lose her energy at what she heard.

"How could that be?" Elida asked as she looked at them with sadness in her life. "Those goddesses already sacrificed their own lives building what Abanoon had ruined, and those fairies who lost their lives trying to burn her body?" Elida said as she looked at them helplessly.

"She uses the forbidden magic." Flamear said as he looked at Elida, who stiffened at what Flamear said.

"She can’t use that!" Elida said as she raised her voice, which startled the other fairies.

"You know the payment of bringing someone who was dead." Acantha looked at Flamear as he didn’t mention it to her.

"Yes, I know. But that’s not why we’re here; I mean, it’s part of that. She curses the whole empire to sleep and those people were trapped inside their nightmare." Flamear, said he, as he looked back at her.

"No..." Elida said as she looked at Flamear. "That wasn’t just a nightmare, Flamear. The longer those people stayed in that dream, Abanoon would gain power as it was the payment for bringing someone who was supposed to dead back to life; they needed to make a big sacrifice for that, a life for a life." Elida explained as she looks really more worried than before they came here.

"What do you mean?" Acantha was confused, if life is for life. One life for one life should be enough, wouldn’t it? Regardless, Abanoon shouldn’t have done that.

"Abanoon was cursed by the goddesses that she wouldn’t be able to reincarnate herself when she dies; they knew that she would do everything to bring herself back again. What I, we, didn’t expect was she was going to use another body. We thought that killing her body was enough, but no." Elida said as she was explaining to them what happened.

"How did you know all about this?" Acantha asked as she looked at Elida, who also returned her gaze.

"Have you forgotten that I lived for thousands of years, my lady?" Elida asked as she looked at the lady in front of her.

Elida’s eyes widen the more she looks at the lady’s face. She can see the late goddess who died back then. She may resemble her mother, but she looks more like the dead goddess.

Elida stopped from she was thinking when she realized what she said in her own thoughts.

Why didn’t she notice it at first?

That Lady Acantha was so much like the goddess, except for her hair. And that every woman in the Klartis only Catanya and her daughter resembles her, but with Lady Acantha she really looks like her.

And now...

She can also feel a very powerful magic from her.

She knew this magic, this power..

She looks at the lady again, and back to Flamear.

"Why didn’t you tell me about it?" Elida asked Flamer using her mind.

"You know I had a Taboo with me." Flamear, he said as he looked at Elida.

"And also because the lady has some magic concealing what she looks like, some people will mistake her for the late duchess." Flamear explained as he looked at her.

"She’s her reincarnation, am I right?" Elida continued to ask him.

"Yes, but she still hasn’t gotten her memory back from her past life, though she already knew about it from her book." Flamear said he, as he took a glance at the lady.

----------------

Acantha looked at Flamear and Elida, who were just looking at each other.

"What happened to them?" Acantha looked at two small fairies who looked like they just got here.

"Catanya?" If she remembers, this fairy was Eraya...

"She’s her daughter, stupid!" She looked at the other fairy who knocked Eraya on her head.

"Good to see you again, Enui and Eraya." Acantha said as she looked at the two of them and turned to face them.

Eraya went to her and smiled as she sat on her shoulder and Enui did the same.

"What happened to them?" Eraya asked as she yawned on her shoulder.

"They seem to be talking to each other with their minds." Acantha was the one who replied as she looked at Flamear again and Elida, who seemed to be back to reality again.

"My lady, for give me for taking too much of your time, but here," Elida said as she waved her hand and suddenly there was some harp on her hand.

"What is this?" Acantha asked as she accepted the harp that was white and gold.

The harp seems to be made with some stones.

"This harp was originally yours." Elida said it to her.

Acantha knew that she meant it was hers in her past life when she was still Solaia.

"This harp you can use to drive the dark magic away, and it is used to wake those who fell from a very dark curse." Elida said as she looked at her.

"Thank you," Acantha said as she looked at Elida, who was looking at her with respect in her eyes.

"No, we should thank you for coming back and fulfilling your promise." Elida said as she looked at her with tenderness in her eyes.

Acantha looked at her with confusion as she didn’t get what she said.

What promise?

As far as she knew she didn’t read it in the book where-

Wait, she forgot something...

She had read in the book that when Solaia died, she had a necklace that she was wearing, which contained all of her memory, unlike the book, which only contained some of hers and some from Abanoon’s.

"I have another favor." Acantha said as she looked at Flamear and Elida, who was looking at her.

"Abanoon and Solaia wear necklaces, but I already found Abanoon’s. Do you mind where Solaia’s necklace?" Acantha asked as she looked at Elida, as she knew the fairies were the ones who buried her body. No, Solaia’s body can’t be buried, as it just faded; the other goddesses took it before they sealed their own realm.

"No, we couldn’t even mourn for the goddess’s body, as the other goddesses were angry at what happened to their beloved goddess. Hence, they still help us and the other mortals to fix what Abanoon ruined, as they wanted to do it for their beloved goddess. Most of them died while exhausting themselves in fighting Abanoon’s monster, and for putting some curse on her while she was sealed by Goddess Solaia." Elida said, and Acantha turned to Flamear, who stiffened, and it seems like he just learned all about this now.

Acantha just nodded at her, and not long after, they bid their goodbyes to them.

Everyone was pacing back and forth inside the Empress room.

Helion was also uneasy, and deep inside he was panicking.

He didn’t even see Acantha and Flamear leave and where they went.

"You should take a rest, Your Highness." Gineo said to him and Helion just shook his head and looked at where his mother.

He saw his father, who was beside his mother, holding her hand while she was moaning in pain.

The duke was also in the corner and seems to be waiting for his daughter wherever she is.

Helion looked when they hear a loud noise from the room, and when he opens it-
