Chapter 101: People Cries
Chapter 101: People Cries
Abanoon glared at Paul, who was on her side when she sensed some familiar energy.
She knew that energy.
This can’t be right?
Or maybe the prophecy wasn’t really the real one?
"Have you really delivered the real prophecy to me?" Abanoon asked Paul as she glared at her.
Paul was the one who first got a hold of Soalia’s book when he went to the forest where she put it along with Flamear, which led to Paul killing one of the fairies.
"Yes, Master." Paul said as he looked at her. "I followed Solaia that time when she hid the beast in the forest and saw she put her blood on the book so it would only recognize her as the owner who could open it." Paul said as he was remembering those days when she followed the goddess and saw what she did.
After the battle, Paul never saw his master’s body, which he knew from the whispers of those people was taken by the other goddesses who sacrificed themselves to fix Abanoon’s mess and hid her body.
That’s why he took Solaia’s blood and tried everything to get the book, but the damned place seems to have disappeared.
It was only these past few decades that he discovered where the damned place, if not for Iivan, who was friends with Arthur, who later married someone from the Klartis Clan.
Those Klartis who were against his master...
He remembered he begged Arthur back then to give him the land so he could marry Noris, who was a daughter of a nobleman, and because he knew that in the Klartis Duchy, he could sense the energy of the place.
That’s why no matter how good the real Iivan to him, he needed to sacrifice for him to get inside the duchy where he needed to get the book.
Iivan’s face still haunts him to this very day.
He didn’t want to kill the person who treated him like he wanted his family to treat him back in the days before his master took him.
Now, his master knew everything was going to be according to their plan.
"No, No..." Paul looked at his master when she screamed.
He really can’t look at her.
His master was using his lover’s daughter’s body.
Now, talking about Noris, he haven’t seen her for weeks, where could she be?
She should be with his daughter who she loves, but now?
Paul knew that she would be devastated when she knew what happened to her daughter.
"This can’t be happening!" Paul was back to reality again when his master’s voice echoed throughout the whole place.
He knew one person could only do this to his master, but that person was already dead.
"She’s alive!" He heard her say as she made some explosions to the wall.
"What do you mean, master?" Paul asked as he looked at her.
"That girl! She was her!" his master replied and the three of them just frowned at what she was saying.
"Who?" Paul turned around and saw that it was the Sullaivan who asked the question.
He had a hunch on who she was talking about, but that can’t be.
He had been there through that girl’s life and there was nothing special about her.
Well, except when he realized that he looks exactly like Solaia and Abanoon, except for the eyes.
"That lady named Acantha!" his master replied, and he saw that everyone except her looked confused at what she said.
"I knew it! I was just indenial denial about what she looks like, but I should’ve known better that Solaia was not that easy to be killed." She continued as she kept on pacing back and forth while messing her hair.
"I could feel her power! I could feel that she lifted the curse again!" she screamed, which made some crumble inside the palace.
"Who is Solaia?" He heard the Sullaivan and his son asked.
Paul must have forgotten to tell his son who Solaia is and as for the Emperor?
He was only here as he was the one who was helping his master and who found her body.
They did everything to recover her body, no matter what they do, how many sacrifices they made. It was still rotten and someone had burned it.
But as he can see, that body was still accepting that blood that they offered; it seems like it has been cursed by other goddesses to stay like that.
His master just glared at the two as she heard her twins names from them.
Maybe he should have told them later when she calms down.
----------
Acantha can feel the people’s eyes who were watching her after she healed those who were there, and she already cleansed and purified the lake that has been cursed.
"This is a miracle!" She heard some people shout.
Acantha looked at the people as they were rejoicing what happened.
She should feel happy, but she doesn’t know why she was feeling uneasy.
Like she shouldn’t feel at ease as it was only the beginning.
The beginning of Abanoon’s revenge on everyone.
Everything she had learned from Solaia’s diary was not to lower her guard.
That she should always need to be alert all the time, as Abanoon works at the most unexpected time, and she can’t be predicted.
That’s what happened when she attacked the old empire way back then.
"Thank you for saving and helping us, Lady Acantha." Acantha looked at the mother who was in front of her as she was holding her child who had been inflected by the cursed.
Acantha just nodded at her.
She wanted to be happy.
But she can’t.
She can’t feel happy knowing that there is more danger coming on their empire, and she can’t be happy knowing that there are some families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
"Are you okay,?" Acantha looked at Flamear, who looked worried at her.
"I am fine, Flamear." Acantha said as she answered his question.
"But you don’t look like one." Flamear said as he still worried about her.
"I am fine, really. It’s just, I was worried knowing Abanoon was there; it only meant one thing. This is just the beginning of an endless suffering for us." she said as she sighed.
Acantha looked at Flamear, who also sighed at what she said.
And she was more worried knowing that they didn’t know her new face.
She could be just there anywhere, or maybe she was just near them.
And worse, she might be just beside them and could attack them in the back.
"Abanoon will attack you in unexpected ways and times; she likes seeing so many deaths when she attacks a place." Flamear sighed as he looked at the sky.
"Yeah, as far as I read, she likes her battlefield to be a bloody one." Acantha said as she clenched her hand into a fist.
She remembered what she had read.
Acantha knew that Abanoon doesn’t have any remorse when it comes to killing someone; what’s worse, there are so many people who died now.
She looked at the family who were hugging each other.
They looked very happy to be with each other and to survive the curse that killed some people.
"Thank you so much, Lady Acantha."
"Thank you so much, Lady Acantha."
"Thank you so much, Lady Acantha."
Acantha looked down when she saw some children who were giving her some flowers to thank her.
She accepted it and she smiled at them.
"See? I just can’t be at ease knowing that those young ones will suffer because of Abanoon." Acantha said as she pointed at the children who walked away after they gave her the flower.
Flamear just looked at what she was pointing and-
"What are you two doing in here?" Acantha and Flamear both looked at Helion, who was now in front of her.
He was beside her awhile ago, but since he helped the others, maybe the people wanted to talk to their emperor and their crown prince .
"Where’s Father?" Acantha asked, as she didn’t seem to see the duke.
"He was with, Father. They’re talking to everyone." Helion said as he roamed his eyes on her face.
Acantha just nodded in response.
"What about you? Are you sure you’re just fine?" Helion said, as he asked her worriedly as he sat beside her.
"Yes, I was just a little bit tired since it was my first time doing this." Acantha said as she yawned.
"You should take a rest. You’ve been doing a lot of things since this morning." Helion said as he sighed at her.
Acantha just nodded at him, and he stood up and she saw he walked towards the crowd and talked to her father, and the emperor, who looked at her way.
Acantha was really exhausted from everything.
"I already talked to my father and the duke; they both said that you should take a rest." Helion said as he scooped her from the ground.
She just nodded as she could feel that her energy was slipping.
Helion uses his power to teleport them to her room.
