Chapter 509: Chapter 509: External Assistance
"I’m not sure, so I need you to go and find out. You have some connections, so you should have some channels to get information!" Zhou You said. Zhou Yu pouted and replied, "Brother, if he really is that identity, it would be confidential. How could I possibly find out?" "I’ll try my best." "But brother, it’s better to resolve enmities than to create them. If it really doesn’t work out, can’t you just bow down and make peace?" Zhou Yu said. Zhou You hung up the phone abruptly, and Zhou Yu listened to the beeping sound on the phone, knowing full well her persuasion would be futile. Born into a family like theirs, pampered from a young age, how could they bow down to anyone?
Zhou You hung up the phone, his face grim. "Li Feng."
As the sun set in the west, the night unfolded its curtain.
Inside the minivan, Li Feng, mimicking the voice of Old Wang, urgently called Zhou You: "Young Master Zhou, it seems Li Feng has discovered us. He just walked into a mall." Listening to the report, Zhou You responded, "No need to follow him anymore. Pull out." "Yes, Young Master Zhou."
Li Feng hung up the phone with a slight smile and looked up at the driver, Liu Jun. Liu Jun, seeing Li Feng through the rearview mirror, shivered. "Young Master Zhou asked us to pull out. You know where to go?" "Yes." Liu Jun nodded.
At the airport in H Country, J got off the plane. Compared to the risk of entering Yan Country directly, transiting through H Country was undoubtedly a more convenient route.
After leaving the airport, J and his companions were arranged in cars, and the convoy headed straight for a Yan Country cargo ship waiting at H Country’s port. J and his team boarded the cargo ship and slowly sailed away from the port under the cover of night.
Inside the cargo ship. A man in a black suit walked into the ship’s restaurant carrying seven or eight black briefcases, placing them on the table. Immediately, security personnel came forward and unzipped the bags, revealing the contents inside. "Is this all the outdated stuff?" A security personnel discontentedly picked up a few guns from the briefcase. The man glanced at him and said, "This is already enough. We can’t possibly get any advanced weapons here, and besides, the target doesn’t have any firearms." "Once the cargo ship arrives at Yunhai Port, a car will pick you up, and then you’ll be arranged to stay at a villa. Your task is to ensure the personal safety of Young Master Zhou." "You don’t need to tell us that; we know what our job is." "That’s good. It will still be a few hours before we reach Yunhai. You’d better rest for a bit." The man turned and left.
"J." "Don’t call me J outside. Use my real name, and after we arrive in Yan Country, you lead a team with me." "Yes!"
This operation was led by J personally, but he hadn’t informed Zhou You; he didn’t fully trust him, especially since they were heading to Yan Country. Although he scoffed at the phrase "Yan Country is off-limits to security personnel," it didn’t stop him from being cautious.
As dawn broke, the cargo ship, after a night’s voyage, slowly entered Yunhai Port and then, a group of security personnel directly got into the vehicles waiting at the dock and sped away.
At seven or eight in the morning, the city was already bustling. The convoy entered Zhou You’s suburban villa, which was built entirely in the mountains, nestled against the water, a massive property with a private path winding through the nearby mountains which had no other residences.
The convoy entered the villa without appearing crowded. The car doors opened, and the security personnel stepped out. "Where is Zhou?" The leading security personnel asked the person who came out to welcome them. "Sorry, we don’t know where our boss is. All I know is that the boss has asked me to receive you, and to ensure that not even a fly enters this villa." The security personnel looked at the man who spoke: "Are you joking with me?" The burly security personnel stepped forward, grabbed the collar of the man opposite him, and dragged him close: "I said, I want to see Zhou. Let Zhou come out to see me." "I already told you, I don’t know where the boss has gone." "Then contact him, or else I’ll break your neck," he said, pushing the man down, causing him to land on his backside, and the surrounding security personnel burst into laughter. "Why are you hitting him?" One person stepped forward, indignantly looking at the opposing security staff, who pulled out a gun from behind and aimed it at his forehead. "Do you have a problem with that?" "Stop!" The man sitting on the ground stood up: "I can help you make contact," he said, pulling the spirited young man aside.
Moments later, a video call connected. "Zhou, what do you mean by this?" "I’m just considering my safety. You just need to secure this villa. If you do that, you’ve completed your mission. The mission duration is five days. After five days, I will pay you as agreed." Zhou You said. "If you have any problems, I will discuss them with your J. Just follow my instructions." "OK?" Zhou You said and then hung up.
The leading security personnel watched the disconnected signal, his face darkening. "Zaka, could this be a trap?" "Hmph, a trap. They’d have to be bold to set one. Make sure everyone’s alert," Zaka scoffed. "Skinny, go get us something to eat." Zaka said, turning to pick up a satellite phone, calling J to inform him of the situation at the villa. "Understood. Stay alert. If Zhou causes any trouble, I won’t let him off."
Time flew by, and the floor clock in the villa chimed noon again. Ding, ding, ding. The day ended. "Day two of the game, Zhou You, are you ready?" As the clock struck twelve, Zhou You received a text message from Li Feng.
