Urban's Fury: The War Dragon God -
Chapter 510: The Last Day
Chapter 510: Chapter 510: The Last Day
Zhou You saw the message and immediately turned off his phone.
"Li Feng, this is Yunhai. You think it’s that easy to find me?" Zhou You muttered to himself.
"I can’t stand it anymore, these damn black ghosts."
"What happened?"
"Hmph, these black ghosts just don’t trust us. They even have their dogs taste the food we prepare before they eat it. And just now, it went too far; they actually wanted me to eat first. What are they implying?"
"Enough, why get angry over these bastards, a bunch of dogs."
"I just can’t swallow this insult."
"What can you do if you can’t swallow it? These people are assassins who kill without batting an eye. Haven’t you seen the menacing aura they carry? We’ve seen others before, and compared to them, we’re like weaklings."
The young man clenched his teeth and turned to look at Old Wang beside him: "Old Wang, why don’t you say something? Do we really have to endure this for four or five days? I can’t even last one day; we’re practically becoming nannies."
"If you can’t endure, then challenge them to a fight."
The young man rolled his eyes. A one-on-one fight? You’ve got to be joking. Any of them is taller and stronger than him, their muscles bursting with power, not the kind of muscles you get from a gym.
The next five days were calm.
According to the rules of Li Feng’s game, this was already the seventh day. The first day was for Zhou You to prepare, and from the second to the seventh day were alternating hunts and counter-hunts.
However, during these five days, Li Feng seemed to have vanished into thin air. Although on the third and fifth days, Li Feng had revealed his whereabouts, the Military Governor and the others who hunted in the shadows always came up empty-handed, never encountering Li Feng.
Today was the last day.
"Is this Li Feng dead or what? Why hasn’t he shown up?"
"Heh, if you ask me, this skinny monkey probably heard the wind and got scared, tucked his tail and ran away."
The mercenary said this while burping. If on the first day these mercenaries had remained vigilant, but nearly five days had passed and there were only a few hours left of the agreed time, the mercenaries present couldn’t help but relax a little.
"Hmph, that unlucky bastard Bansi actually got killed by a skinny monkey. What a misfortune."
A mercenary from Lijia State leaned back with his feet on the table, blowing into a bottle of red wine. Military discipline? Nonexistent. They were free mercenaries.
In a room upstairs, Zaka was on the satellite phone talking to the Military Governor when suddenly the door was pushed open.
"Who!"
Zaka turned his head to see Wang enter with a tray. His brow furrowed; he said a couple more words to the Military Governor and then hung up.
"Zaka, this is your last breakfast."
Hearing this, Zaka sensed nothing wrong, since today was already the final day of the mission. Once time was up, the mission would be completed, and they could leave.
"Mm, too bad I won’t get to eat such delicious food anymore." Even though it had only been a few days, Zaka was won over by the cuisine of Yan Country. Unfortunately, they were about to return. Thinking of the chef’s skills back at the base canteen, he felt a hard-to-swallow sensation.
Zaka reached out to take the tray, but at that instant, a table knife plunged straight into Zaka’s throat.
Zaka had never anticipated this: "Wang, you...!"
"I’m sorry, I’m not the king, my name is Li Feng," Li Feng said with a lifted corner of his mouth as he pulled the dinner knife out of the other’s throat, an arrow of blood spurting out instantly. Looking at the collapsed Zaka, Li Feng turned around without a backward glance and left the room.
Li Feng walked down the stairs, and a bodyguard pointed at him, saying, "King, my drink’s all gone, go get me a few more bottles."
The bodyguard treated Li Feng as if he were a servant.
"Too bad there are no chicks here, otherwise I’d never want to leave this place."
Li Feng walked straight up and grabbed the incoming person by the head and performed a "Kiss Throat" from behind. The face of the stunned mercenary bodyguard lifted to look at Li Feng in shock, but before he could regain his senses, the dinner knife in Li Feng’s hand plunged directly into his eyeball, penetrating deep into the brain and destroying the central nervous system.
The man was not dead, yet he was completely unable to move.
Li Feng began a killing spree, cutting down the bodyguards whose vigilance had all but disappeared, like a herd of cattle and sheep awaiting slaughter, easily taking their lives one by one.
Soon, there were no sounds left within the villa, leaving only more than a dozen guards standing outside. But this posed no difficulty for Li Feng, who not only was in the villa, but had already been there for five days.
During those five days, Li Feng lived alongside these people, at their beck and call, who would have never imagined that the man they were sent to kill was right beside them.
Suddenly, the sniper spots on the villa’s balcony and roof were taken out, followed by the patrolling guards. Except for the two guards at the main gate, all the bodyguards sent by the assassination company were eradicated by Li Feng.
The whole process met with hardly any resistance.
As the sun climbed higher, Li Feng, sitting under an umbrella on the roof of the villa, saw a car wind through the mountain roads, the villa gates opened, and an SUV roared into the courtyard.
Li Feng picked up a light sniper rifle and swept over the people inside the SUV, which seemed to be the Military Governor who had been wandering outside.
The opponent had a good plan, splitting the forces into two, one overt and one covert. The main force waited in ambush at the villa, while the Military Governor led a team to track in secret.
But alas, while their calculations were good, they couldn’t outwit a fine hunter.
Li Feng aimed the rifle at a mercenary stepping out of the SUV and pulled the trigger.
Bang.
At a mere thirty-some meters, the bullet hitting the head burst it open like a watermelon, spraying blood all over the Military Governor.
"Friendly fire."
Li Feng, with rifle in hand, aimed at the next person. Who are your friends? Dare to step on the soil of Yan Country and expect to leave?
All of you, stay behind.
Li Feng sniped one after another, the courtyard in front of the villa offered no cover, and from his high vantage point, his field of view was broad; his shots never missed.
Being targeted by a sniper at such close range is an absolute nightmare.
The squad led by the Military Governor was wiped out in an instant, leaving only the Military Governor and another person.
"His bullets are out, go now."
The light sniper had a five-round magazine, and now that Li Feng had fired five shots, the enemy believed he was out of ammunition. The Military Governor and another mercenary darted out of the car, one to the left, the other to the right, executing a tactical roll.
Bang.
Li Feng fired another shot, who said he had only one gun? He had already switched guns halfway, having fired three shots with one and two with another.
The other bodyguard was hit and fell to the ground. Li Feng turned the gun barrel toward the Military Governor, writhing on the ground.
