Chapter 144: Taking Full Responsibility.

Lukas smiled and then told the nurse to bring the form for Annie to sign. The doctor came after a while to take Annie to the testing room, and Lukas went outside of the cabin and sat on a bench.

After a while, the doctor came back with a smile. She nodded subtly towards Lukas and then went somewhere, as she had many duties to perform. Lukas smiled, this was out of the plan but a good surprise.

Guess I have to be more responsible from now on.

Annie was released soon after a while, they gave her some panic medications and also some good-for-you medicine and also suggested that she can’t drink or smoke.

Lukas and Annie had to leave through the back door, as there were many people waiting for Lukas, and he doesn’t want to entertain anyone right now.

Lukas took Annie to her home. It felt weird now, as there were lots of things here and there. Lukas, after taking Annie into her bedroom, called Jay and Roy to help him out with the clothes and stuff.

The three men finished the cleaning and arranged everything in its proper position. Annie was taking a rest inside her room. After cleaning, Jay and Roy left to go downstairs.

Lukas went to Annie’s room again, and both of them talked while Lukas tidied up her bedroom as well. He was concerned about her, so he did whatever he could do and then sat in front of her.

"You do realize that I am pregnant, did not lose my hand, and can do all this stuff by myself."

Annie smilingly said she loved Lukas more than she thought, and she was relieved to see Lukas here with him rather than somewhere where she might never see him again.

"You might want to call your director about this if he can finish up the movie as soon as possible, because once your belly starts to grow, that will be tough to handle with CGI."

Lukas said and suggested shecall her director in case she faces a problem later on.

"I will do that later. I don’t think it will be a problem to delay my scenes later. I have very few scenes in the whole movie compared to the whole movie, although I have an action scene with a sword, but it’s mostly using armor and a helmet."

Annie said with a smile on her face that she had been very happy for a while now. She was not expecting to be pregnant, but it was a happy surprise nonetheless.

"Well, try your best," I say. "If you don’t have any scenes or work in a week or so, how about you go with me to Japan?" I was planning on going there and finding someone for my company and also enjoying the country"

Lukas said he was going to Japan no matter what, he deserved a little rest after spending so much time in the study.

"Japan? Is it a good country?"

Annie asked with surprise, she had heard of Japan before but had very little idea about it.

"It’s like one of the best. I love it. You might love it as well. Ask your agent or director if you can take a break or not."

Lukas said he wanted to go alone, but Annie was pregnant now, so he had to change his plans now.

"I will ask him also to tell him about us."

Annie nodded her head and said she was happy but also kind of scared to be alone in the house.

"I can live with you for some days here."

Lukas said he was going to take full care of his future babies mother from now on.

"Alright, go bring your clothes here."

Annie readily agreed.

Lukas, after kissing her on the forehead, left the apartment. He then went directly to the dorm where some of his clothes were, packed them, and went back to Annie’s apartment.

The next two days they spent time together, and Annie was notified that she couldn’t leave the country yet, as she might have some scenes to shoot, so she had to stay.

Lukas arranged a maid service from a nearby agency, they will provide three maids a day, which is 24 hours a day of service for Annie. It cost him one hundred twenty thousand dollars in a year contract, but he accepted their service.

He paid fifty thousand up front and will have to pay later after seeing their service. Annie was happy getting a personal assistant out of nowhere, and she didn’t have to cook as well.

She loves to cook, although she hates it on a daily basis. Lukas was seated on the balcony when he suddenly got a call from Henry.

"Hello, Coach?"

"Luke, I found a good house for you and also booked a flight for you to Japan. Your visa was done, so you don’t have to face hassle in the airport with on-arrival visas. Also, Jay and Roy will go with you, right?"

Henry asked, he got these jobs from Lukas some time ago, and now he fulfilled them.

"Okay, I will look at the house when I come back from Japan. No, I don’t need Jay and Roy there, nobody will harm me there."

Lukas said with confidence.

"Very well, then, your flight is tomorrow at eight in the morning. It’s a private jet, the owner is also going to Japan. He just shared his space with you, he didn’t charge anything, so yeah, I have saved some money."

Henry said with a chuckle that he knew this private plane owner and was not pushing Lukas into danger.

"I understand if you feel like this was a good option. I know you’ve thought this through"

Lukas said he trusted his manager very much because Henry had never made a bad choice when it came to him, so he trusted him blindly.

"I have, so don’t worry, I will call and let Jay know where to take you, just be prepared at six in the morning."

Henry said that after chatting for a bit, he ended the call.

Lukas, after finishing the call, entered the apartment. Annie was on her phone, and the whole apartment was filled with Mexican flavor today because the maid was a Mexican woman, and she wanted to cook something spicy for Annie today.

Lukas sat beside Annie and then saw her struggling with her phone, as she was not used to the phone. Lukas had bought her one yet, and then Lukas gently showed her what’s what in the phone.

After eating dinner, Lukas took Annie on a drive. He was driving her Ferrari, and he felt good driving her car. It was a very good car, and she was just enjoying her mood, opening the window and letting the air enter the car.

They reached the Philadelphia Four Seasons Hotel in no time. Lukas parked in the VIP parking and took her to his suite.

Bella opened the door, and seeing Annie with Lukas, she jumped like a cat and hid behind the door.

Annie, seeing this, looked at Lukas weirdly. She always had the idea that Bella was nothing but a hoe, seeing Bella like this, even Annie was surprised.

"She has an inferiority complex, so treat her gently."

Lukas softly said into Annie’s ear, and Annie nodded her head and then entered the suite. Lukas entered last and closed the door behind him.

Annie didn’t talk with Bella, she just went ahead and sat on the couch. She then looked at Bella, who was trying to hide herself behind Lukas. Lukas also didn’t inform Annie about Bella beforehand, he never said anything till now because the more he talks, the angrier Annie will be.

"Come here, sit in front of me."

Annie said she never expected someone like this to steal her boyfriend, and now she had to share him with her.

Bella clutched Lukas’s clothes from behind, she was scared and didn’t know what to do next.

"Go on, sit in front of her, she knows about you."

Lukas said he wanted them both to know each other somewhat.

"Okay, Lukas, just go outside, we girls can talk with each other."

Annie said she was smiling and then winked at Lukas with a playful expression.

Lukas had no choice but to get out of the room. He made a pleading face towards Annie while getting out, that might help.

Lukas, exiting the room, didn’t know where to go, so he went to the bar. People were looking at him with surprise expressions. Jay and Roy came running when they got a call from him.

"Yeah, I want a soda. I am not old enough to get a drink, I know."

Lukas said to the bartender, who was looking at him with a begging expression, and hearing Lukas, the bartender smiled and nodded his head.

People were clicking pictures of Lukas nonstop, they were shocked to see Lukas in a bar and drinking soda.

After a while he got a call from Annie, she was asking him to come to the suite. Lukas went upstairs and, seeing Annie’s smile and Bella standing behind her, was shocked.

"What happened?"

Lukas asked, he was confused. Bella was standing behind Annie like a little sister and looked comfortable.

"Nothing. I invited her to my house. She will eat dinner with me after work from now on and then can stay with me while you’re gone or can come here. Also, mister, give us some money, we will need some new clothes for ourselves. Tomorrow we will also go shopping."

Annie said Bella nodded in agreement, and Lukas was shocked beyond belief.
