True Solution of the Sword Dao
Chapter 369 - 346: Birthday 1

Chapter 369: Chapter 346: Birthday 1

"Ah~~~~~" Lin You yawned as she walked out of the bedroom. Dressed in a white nightgown, she rubbed one eye while holding Feil in her other hand.

She just happened to see Lin Fei coming out of the kitchen.

However, Lin Fei seemed a bit different than usual.

The two met face to face.

"Morning, Xiao You," Lin Fei greeted with a smile.

"I’m saying... your complexion seems a bit off, are you sick?" Lin You looked at Lin Fei, puzzled. His face was completely pale, without a trace of color.

"Is it?" Lin Fei smiled and said, "You must be seeing things."

"How could I? Your face is clearly very pale," Lin You insisted.

"That’s just your eyes playing tricks on you," Lin Fei said, smiling as he ruffled Lin You’s head.

"Is that so?" Lin You mumbled, lowering her head to rub her eyes. When she looked up again, she indeed saw that Lin Fei’s complexion had improved a lot. "It really was my eyes playing tricks on me..."

"See?" Lin Fei said softly, "Go wash up. Your face is all dirty."

"Oh~~~"

Lin You, still bewildered, walked into the bathroom. Behind her, she heard the sound of Lin Fei returning to his bedroom and closing the door.

She picked up her toothbrush and squeezed a green stripe of toothpaste onto it. "Feil, why am I always so groggy these days? Even my vision is blurry in the morning. It’s so strange."

She filled a cup with water.

"You weren’t seeing things wrong, Lin Fei’s complexion is indeed very poor," Feil communicated telepathically.

Lin You paused in her actions.

"Then why is he hiding it from me?"

"He just doesn’t want you to worry," Feil said gently.

Lin You fell silent for a moment.

"He’s always been like this, never sharing anything with others. He takes on everything by himself."

"You’re the same," Feil didn’t say aloud. She felt helpless about the emotional entanglement between the siblings. It seemed they were growing closer, but in reality, they were drifting apart.

"I’ll go get some medicine for him from Sister Merrill later to help him recuperate," Lin You said as she started to rinse her mouth, her words slightly unclear.

"Okay."

"By the way, Jiang Nan said she’s moving out," Lin You continued. "She’s good at home though, it feels much livelier. Why does she want to move out?"

"Xiao You, what are you muttering to yourself about?"

Suddenly, her mother Jiang Feng’s voice came from behind her.

Lin You shook her head. "Just talking to myself, I’m used to it," she said, a scenario she had experienced many times before.

Lifting her head, she gargled loudly and suddenly spit out the water in her mouth. Lin You quickly put down the cup and toothbrush.

"Mom, I’m heading out," she said, then rushed into her bedroom. A few minutes later, she hurriedly burst out again, now dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, carrying a small white bag.

Then came a bang, as the front door closed firmly behind her.

"This child...."

Jiang Feng shook her head and said no more.

Lin Fei slowly walked out of his room. His face was ghastly pale, his lips entirely devoid of color.

"Sister Merrill~~ please~~ just this once!!" Lin You cajoled as she shook Merrill’s hand.

"No, you have already drawn enough blood for today, drawing more would be too harmful for your body," Merrill said, turning her face away sternly.

"What’s there to worry about, I am a Psychic, my physical condition is much better than an ordinary person," Lin You said nonchalantly.

"I have other medications here; take these for your brother. He’s just an ordinary person, he doesn’t need your blood to recuperate. These medicines are also very effective," Merrill said, pulling a small bottle containing white round pills from her lab coat pocket.

"These are made from a special plant I personally cultivated. Just give him one pill a day," she instructed.

Lin You skeptically received it.

"This, will it really help?"

"Why don’t you try it and see?" Merrill waved her off as if shooing away a fly, "Go on, get out of here, I’m busy," her eyes never leaving the computer monitor.

Lin You dutifully took the small bottle and left.

As she reached the door, she turned back.

"Oh, and Sister Merrill, I have a good friend inviting me to celebrate their birthday today, so I won’t be back this afternoon."

"Oh, be careful out there, I’ll let Chris know," Merrill waved her hand to acknowledge.

Lin You gently closed the door. Holding Feil, she stood at the doorway for a while then took out her phone to check a message.

It clearly read: Xiao You, be sure to come this afternoon. —— Kong Qiyu

"What should I get Qiuyu for her birthday?"

"Anything will do," Feil responded indifferently.

"I’ll give Lin Fei the medicine first, then go buy a gift," Lin You said, looking at the small bottle in her hand.

Her gaze inadvertently fell on the blue sapphire ring on her finger, which was a gift from Lin Fei. After playing with it, she discovered it was actually a ring with a small hollow in the middle, perfectly fitting her pinky.

"I’ll also get him something next time, to settle the score," Lin You’s lips curved slightly upward.

Swordsmanship Club First Sword Room

Lin Fei gently brushed his face with one hand, and a layer of momentum immediately enveloped his face, turning his originally pale complexion rosy in an instant.

Ye Yuhua stood calmly by the window of the sword room, looking sideways outside.

"Sir, have you found the path to understanding Sword Intent?" she asked softly.

"Almost," Lin Fei nodded, his face expressionless.

"Some people understand Sword Intent through swordsmanship, while others rely purely on themselves. The latter is far stronger and purer than the former. I assume, sir, that you must have realized the latter?" Ye Yuhua asked.

"How are things on the gold side?" Lin Fei did not answer but changed the subject. "It’s also about time for the Earth Dragon Den. I can still stay here for two more days, and the new school term at Yan Capital University is about to start."

"Preparations are already underway. The newly established Joint Operations Combat Division is already handling it. It’s just a matter of a few days."

Lin Fei nodded.

He gently gripped the Black Demon Sword at his waist. Since he had used it yesterday for two strikes, all the energy inside the Black Demon Sword had disappeared, but the entire sword body slowly began to turn black. It spread like rust, and no matter what he did, he couldn’t remove it. Lin Fei left it be.

He had not fully recovered from the injuries those two strikes had caused him until now. It was a severe overuse of his Vital Essence and spirit. He also needed to restore his body temporarily and had no extra energy to deal with these matters.

"After this time at the Earth Dragon Den, I need some quiet time. When the time comes, you will handle all matters on the gold side," Lin Fei said indifferently. He had a premonition that something seemed to be getting closer to him.

"Yes, sir," Ye Yuhua knew, the struggle of understanding Sword Intent wasn’t something ordinary people could imagine, especially if one realized it on their own. After realization, one still had to shape the Sword Intent in their heart. This process was enough to establish a school. Sword Cultivators who realized Sword Intent on their own had a terrifyingly vast difference in strength compared to those who did not, or those who gained Sword Intent through swordsmanship techniques.

Sword Intent is a person’s greatest obsession or emotion when they devote themselves to the Sword Dao. Once the Sword Intent is suppressed, a Sword Cultivator might not even have the will to resist. Their mind and spirit could collapse, leading to a significant reduction in their cultivation level.

She looked at Lin Fei, this tall man, and suddenly felt an inexplicable emotion.

"To understand Sword Intent at such a young age... even in the Stellar Domain, he is one of the extremely rare top-level geniuses. Sir truly deserves to be the Sword Canon’s Sword Master."

Lin Fei merely smiled lightly, no longer speaking. His figure instantly vanished. It turned out that he was just a projection all along.

***************

At home in First Middle.

Lin Fei slowly opened his eyes.

The bedroom door was knocked loudly.

"Come in, the door is unlocked," Lin Fei leaned on the bed, casually flipping through a book.

The room door immediately opened a crack.

Jiang Feng peeked half her face in cautiously. Finding nothing unusual, she then pushed the door fully open and walked in.

Lin Fei was amused by her cautiousness and chuckled.

"What’s with you? Looking like this?"

He looked at Jiang Feng, who seemed to have dressed up, wearing a quality light yellow dress that appeared to be a designer brand. The top was like a dress shirt. Though the dress looked proper on Jiang Feng herself, it felt somewhat odd, as if it didn’t quite match her personal aura.

"This is for you," Jiang Feng threw a small bottle at him. The white small bottle landed directly on Lin Fei’s chest, who caught it with one hand.

"Take one daily. It can nourish your body. This was not easy for me to get!!" Jiang Feng said with a flushed face and then ran off.

Lin Fei looked at the small bottle in his hand speechlessly. The bottle had nothing on it—no brand, no production date, no expiration date; it was a completely unbranded product.

"Can this thing even be eaten?" he harbored serious doubts.

He wanted to speak, but Jiang Feng had already run far away. He could only shake his head and pocket the small bottle.

He took out his mobile phone and dialed Shuang’er’s number.

It had been a while since he last talked to the girl. Yuan Yicheng mentioned that Shuang’er was rising fast in Tianjing and had even managed to gather some followers.

He would call Shuang’er from time to time. Although with his current strength, he could completely ignore Shuang’er’s efforts, this sentiment was something that couldn’t be replaced by anything else.

Moreover, most importantly, as a mastermind behind the scenes, he had to thoroughly manage all powers at hand and have a clear understanding of everyone’s movements, controlling all situations.

"Hello~~~ is it brother?" a soft, tender voice came from the other end of the phone.

*******************

Jiang Feng ran out of the house, her face flushed intensely.

She sprinted along, attracting the attention of the residents in the neighborhood with her pace.

It wasn’t until she was out of First Middle that Jiang Feng finally slowed down.

"We are twenty minutes ahead. Let’s go directly to Qiyu’s place," she said.

The ringtone of her phone played just then.

Jiang Feng took out her pink little phone, which displayed the incoming call from Kong Qiyu.

"Hello, where are you, Shao You? I’ll come pick you up."

"No need, I’ll just walk over. It’s Minchen Restaurant, right? I can find it," she replied.

"Alright then, hurry up, I am waiting for your gift~~" Kong Qiyu chuckled softly.

"I’m just a poor person, don’t expect any fancy gifts from me!" Jiang Feng said irritably.

"I’ll love whatever gift you give, just don’t be late," Kong Qiyu urged.

Fifteen minutes later,

Jiang Feng stood in front of a circular building, straightening her clothes.

Minchen Restaurant was considered one of the most upscale restaurants in Ping City, on par with Rainbow Hotel.

At the building’s entrance, there was a huge black square stone slab designed like a rooftop above the entrance door, creating a square-shaped shadow at the entrance, which acted as a canopy.

The dozens of marble steps and the neatly dressed doormen on either side of the entrance, along with the guests’ proper attire, all reflected the establishment’s high standards. (To be continued.
