True Solution of the Sword Dao -
Chapter 368 - 345: Ending 2
Chapter 368: Chapter 345: Ending 2
The Thunder King’s expression changed, and the two crystals by his side instantly flew forward to block the attack.
Clang!!
A figure appeared in an instant.
Lin Fei, with his hair disheveled, gently retracted the Black Demon Sword and then vanished into thin air with a whoosh.
Clang clang clang clang clang!!!!
The blade became completely blurred, invisible, with countless sparks erupting between the two fighters.
Both staggered backward frantically, the dense metallic collision sounds almost merging into one continuous noise.
Boom!!
Lin Fei, with the force of a cannonball, smashed the Thunder King heavily into the ground.
Immediately afterward, a blood-colored figure mercilessly struck down.
Countless energies dispersed, forming numerous gusts of wind, and everything around was quickly scattered.
Red, blue, and purple halos slowly faded away.
Everything became quiet in an instant.
Lin Fei stood silently in the center, with his eyes tightly closed, holding his longsword. Chunks of skin slowly flaked off his face like shards of glass, revealing half of an almost perfect visage. His right hand, gripping the sword, was entirely blood-red. Drops of crimson blood fell to the ground.
The Thunder King knelt on the ground, gasping for blood, his face pallid and devoid of color, his pupils dilated, his breath feeble to the extreme. Around him, strands of electricity still appeared from time to time.
"You’ve won...." The Thunder King said weakly, "I never imagined... I would die here...."
Countless blood-colored bats converged behind him into a bloody figure.
Kotesar, cloaked in a blood-red cape, materialized, revealing himself to be an extremely handsome man. His skin was pale without a hint of color, lips turned black, and like Lin Fei, he had long black hair, though only shoulder length.
His entire being was enveloped in the blood-red cape, with no hint of skin visible except for his head.
"Thunder King, goodbye."
Kotesar stretched out both hands, each adorned with black leather gloves.
Clap!
With a snap of his hands, a black glint flashed.
The surroundings dimmed for a moment.
The Thunder King gently fell backward onto the ground.
"To think..... I still failed..." The Thunder King reached out, slowly grasping at the sky, a slight apologetic smile on his face as he dissipated into countless streams of electricity.
"Next, it’s just the two of us," Kotesar said, his gaze resting on Lin Fei.
The blood-red cape slowly opened, revealing two silver short daggers at his waist. He slightly bowed.
Whoosh!
As the cape billowed, his figure vanished, and two silver traces, drawing two red lines, instantly stretched out and shot towards Lin Fei.
Lin Fei’s eyes snapped open instantly. An endless golden glow spread out.
An indescribable sensation suddenly surged into his heart.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had felt this way.
Giving his all without the slightest reservation, a sense of clarity like never before filled his heart.
"I forgot everything for the sake of a single sword." A blurry figure suddenly emerged in Lin Fei’s mind.
He seemed to return to that final moment once again.
He flicked the blade lightly.
"Flying Swallow Yan Shi, your era has passed."
When he spoke those words, the helplessness and resignation in Yan Shi’s eyes were so vivid.
"It turns out I’m just like you...." Lin Fei smiled, a sudden understanding flowing through his heart.
A phantom figure emerged behind him.
Lin Fei didn’t look back; he knew it was the last remnant of danger Yan Shi had left within him or, perhaps, the last trace of his presence in this world.
The only sword....
Yan Jiu, the blood-red bird, the woman in white, the endless flames, scene after scene flashed before Lin Fei’s eyes.
On Lin Fei’s forehead, a golden thread rapidly twined, weaving into a highly complex golden pattern.
He swung his longsword gently.
Kotesar grunted, his form instantly cleaved into countless blood-colored bats scattering in all directions.
Lin Fei’s face turned pale, an unnatural flush appearing and vanishing quickly on his cheeks.
The Black Demon Sword swung once more at a bizarre angle. No flash of light, no energy, just a simple wave as if he was handling not a weapon but a precious work of art.
Where the blade passed, all energy was extinguished, leaving only a faint silvery shine on the blade.
The many bats Kotesar had transformed into let out a uniform cry of despair, falling like raindrops, turning into blood-mist and vanishing.
Spurt!
Lin Fei violently spat out a mist of blood.
The other two colors in the space were completely erased. Only the blue glow emanated from Lin Fei remained.
Golden glimmers flickered uncertainly in his eyes.
All around was silent, with no sound to be heard. The aftermath of the recent battle had cleared many lesser combatants. Perhaps some had survived but were likely hiding in the shadows, waiting for Lin Fei to show weakness.
Lin Fei sheathed the Black Demon Sword. His body swayed slightly but then steadied.
"Let’s end this," the shadow of the Divine Beast Mi abruptly appeared behind him.
His body was utterly devoid of True Qi and True Force. Lin Fei felt as if he were back at the beginning when he had nothing.
Mi roared furiously; it was the concentration of all the remaining True Force Lin Fei had.
Fighting against the three great powers, it was inevitable to consider the possibility of someone profiting from their fight. The power to freeze other strong fighters clearly did not disappear with the death of its owner, resonating continuously with the halo surrounding Lin Fei.
Lin Fei watched with a light chuckle as Mi soared into the sky.
Boom!
Red streams of air and purple lightning erupted in different directions.
All the strong fighters frozen in place by Lin Fei had no time to react and were completely devoured.
The noise lasted for more than ten minutes. Only then did silence reclaim the space.
"It seems they have already dealt with any opponent that could be dealt with beforehand, leaving only the insignificant ones," Lin Fei walked slowly.
Bodies lay haphazardly around him, some still radiating undepleted potential energy.
Returning to his previous location, Lin Fei looked at the frozen Snow Demon and Xia Ziling in front of him. They were lucky enough not to be impacted and survived. In contrast, the fat woman was electrocuted and lay on one side.
"Don’t kill me!! I’m Xia Ziling! My brother is Xia Longque!!" Xia Ziling turned pale.
"Xia Longque?" Lin Fei gradually recovered from his previous mindset. With a flick of his finger, a spark of Blue Flame instantly flew onto Xia Ziling.
Whoosh!
Like being dropped on gasoline, the blue fire instantly turned Xia Ziling into a human torch. The flames spread rapidly across the ground, engulfing the bodies of the Snow Demon and Gao Yue as well.
Lin Fei watched the two scream and roll on the ground, clutching their heads.
The Blue Flame grew increasingly stronger with his strength, lacking in substantial burning effect but having an absolute dominance over burning things like spiritual power. Lin Fei was clear in his heart that in less than a minute, the two before him would be reduced to imbeciles; their brain cells would die in large numbers, leading to organ failure, culminating in their complete deaths.
This was their ending.
"Space detection shows only one aura. Winner: Feilin."
"Teleportation will begin shortly."
A beam of light instantly fell on Lin Fei.
Surrounded by countless Blue Flames, Lin Fei ascended slowly with the beam, then vanished into thin air.
A wave of endless darkness flitted by.
The surroundings brightened once more.
"Cough cough cough..." From somewhere faint, a man’s coughing could intermittently be heard.
Lin Fei stood on an open-air terrace, the black sky littered with stars. The platform appeared to be made from black crystal, extending out from the side of the cliff and forming a spiky shape.
A cool night breeze wafted gently.
The surroundings were imbued with a sense of solemn tranquility.
At the end of the platform stood a blurry figure, their identity obscured.
"Congratulations on achieving the ultimate victory," the man’s voice was weak, slightly sickly, yet calm.
Lin Fei glanced around; high cliffs surrounded the platform, sharply cleaved as if by a knife. It seemed they were in a valley surrounded by mountains. Above, one could faintly see black dots circling in the sky.
"Isn’t this the rookie selection? Why have I come here?" Although he had some guesses, he still asked.
The man chuckled softly.
"A rookie contest? Do you think a contest for rookies would involve fighters close to A-class in strength?" He paused for a moment, "It’s unfortunate..."
"I should have been the one to kill you. Anyone associated with Yan Shi deserves to die."
Lin Fei’s pupils contracted.
"Why?"
"Why? Haha..." The man laughed.
He stood at the edge of the platform, his body shrouded in a heavy mist, as if he could fall into the abyss at any moment.
"Just go. Maybe we were wrong from the very beginning..." The man’s voice was tinged with melancholy. "If only... if only at the beginning..."
Lin Fei wanted to ask more, but the world spun around him. Darkness fell before his eyes, and he vanished from sight.
On the platform, the man in the mist sighed deeply.
"Perhaps this is fate, the final winning Successor turns out to be... cough cough..." He began to cough again.
"It’s okay," a ghostly fiery shadow emerged behind the man, a cold and seductive female voice speaking, "Extinction is an inevitable rule. It’s time to choose someone else. Our time is running short."
"It’s my fault... I wasn’t up to him," the man muttered quietly.
"It doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong, just a difference in philosophy," the red shadow replied calmly, "Most have been dealt with; you need to handle the rest personally."
"Alright."

Sword Canon Space
Lin Fei collapsed on the ground, his face deathly pale, yet he felt an unprecedented sense of relief.
Those last two sword strikes, merely two strokes without any attached energy, seemed like casual gestures but had exhausted nearly all of his Essence Qi and spiritual power.
"Although I didn’t receive the inheritance this time, just these insights alone have been worth it." His heart had never been so clear on his path. Although there was no substantial increase in strength, and the two sword strikes were accidental and completely uncontrollable.
Yet he had seen the way forward clearly.
Or rather, it was the path that Yan Shi and he had sought together.
"The path where errors are not permissible. That is the path of the strongest."
Lin Fei’s thoughts were becoming stronger.(To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please come to Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your recommendation votes and Monthly Tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
