Chapter 332: Chapter 331 Turning 1

United Kingdom London

March 11, 2006, 14:22 PM

Suburban villa area of London

Hiss...

The projected light suddenly dimmed.

In a sealed room, Lin Fei slowly rose from a high-backed chair.

"What a nuisance..." he muttered. "Three A-class, not a single one fully fused with a True Force seed, all partially fused to just extend their lifespan... Perhaps the timing isn’t right yet..."

On the metallic wall across the room, mirroring a window, Lin Fei’s current appearance was clearly reflected.

He looked nothing more than a middle-aged man with gloomy eyes, standing pale-faced in the center of the room.

"My lord, shall we return?" A voice came from outside the room. Yuan Yicheng opened the door to the room and stood at the doorway.

Lin Fei picked up his overcoat trench coat from the chair beside him.

"Yes. Thank you for your assistance. Then I shall take my leave. The aftermath for this individual is up to you. My descent might have exhausted him greatly."

"It’s not a problem."

Yuan Yicheng smiled faintly.

Lin Fei nodded, and a layer of pale blue light tinged with gold suddenly emanated from his body. The mist formed a human shape, then it burst open in an instant, silently dissipating.

At the same time, the man’s eyes instantly lost their luster.

"Ah!!!" He suddenly screamed in agony, clutching his head and wailing loudly.

Whoosh...

Blood splattered against the wall. The screams stopped abruptly.

Yuan Yicheng’s eyes glowed with a faint silvery-white fluorescence. He slowly wiped his longsword clean.

"The best way to deal with this is to completely destroy all evidence," he said softly. "No trace of the lord must be leaked."

Ten minutes later...

The entire villa slowly burned into a sea of flames.

In the hot afternoon sunlight, the raging fire seemed even redder, with black smoke continuously rising.

A kilometer away from the villa, atop a nondescript commercial building.

Jingjing stood quietly on the rooftop, staring at the inferno engulfing the villa. She was dressed like a young girl, indistinguishable from a student if she were to walk into a school.

Surrounding the villa, the rapid approach of sirens and firetrucks created chaos.

Boom!!

With a violent explosion, the villa collapsed completely, turning into a fiery ruin.

"Quite quick," Jingjing murmured with a slight chuckle.

"Let’s go. We still have unfinished business," Yuan Yicheng’s figure suddenly appeared behind her, landing softly as if he had just leaped down from somewhere.

"Giving up on this place? What a waste of a stronghold," Jingjing complained.

"Someone’s on our trail," Yuan Yicheng said indifferently as he walked toward the staircase, taking out his mobile phone from his pocket.

"Boss, twelve people are heading from the side, four from the front, with three heading straight to the top," a woman’s voice from the phone reported. She was the sniper Yuan Yicheng promoted previously.

"Understood. Have Hans take out everyone from behind with a silencer. You handle the ones in front. Once everything’s done, retreat and relocate immediately. Watch the bullet types used, don’t give ourselves away."

"Ok."

Jingjing stood bored at the edge of the building, looking down from the high rise. Below, in the crowded streets, some pale-faced white men in black suits were urgently jogging toward the building.

She smiled, licking her lips.

"Let me give you a little gift..." she casually pulled out a black ring-pull grenade from her pocket, removed the safety pin, and tossed it down nonchalantly.

The black grenade tumbled in free fall down below.

"Let’s go," Jingjing said with a light laugh as she turned to join Yuan Yicheng, who was waiting at the stairwell door.

"Don’t do pointless things," Yuan Yicheng frowned.

"Isn’t it simpler this way since we need to create chaos?" Jingjing giggled.

The two vanished in an instant, as if they were just blurry images that dissolved away.

"No!! Get down!!" A voice of panic arose from below.

Bang!!!

The grenade exploded into a fireball amidst the crowd.

Screams of fright, panic, the crowd’s horrified shouts, roars! Some people were blasted apart, while flames still clung to their bodies.

The group in black suits was knocked down by the explosion—six to the ground, four of whom were uncertain of life or death, and two covered in blood.

"High-Explosive Grenade!! Madmen!! All madmen!! Call an ambulance!!" a leading black-suited man shouted in rage, his face pale.

France Paris, by a small bridge over the Seine River

19:51 PM

A man in a gray trench coat stood quietly on the bridge, leaning forward against the railing. A small flesh-colored earpiece was in his ear, difficult to spot unless looked at closely.

"The lead is severed. The other party is vicious, directly throwing a high-explosive grenade into the densest crowd. Their methods are decisive," reported a voice from the earpiece.

"Understood. This was anticipated by the lord. I will report back to him," he replied.

"Okay."

The man in the gray trench coat remained still, looking at the tranquil water below, took out a cigarette, but didn’t light it, just held it in his mouth. After standing silently for a while, he finally reached into his trench coat pocket and dialed a number on his mobile phone.

In a hidden underground room.

The Night King casually lay on a black leather sofa, turning his face to look at a distant wall adorned with a circular dartboard. Four or five darts had already been embedded in it.

"Your Majesty, there’s new intelligence."

"Come in," the Night King said calmly. "Did it fail?"

A man with black hair, wearing a silver-white suit, bowed and walked in.

"I’m very sorry."

"It’s fine. If it were that easy to succeed, that would actually be abnormal," the Night King whispered. "If we failed, then let’s give up. Our strength in London is too weak. Shift the focus to Singhal, he won’t give up. How are things in New Delhi?"

"Not bad, India’s Third Eye Lord has decided to follow your suggestion and establish an alliance to confront Singhal and his faction. But even so, we are still unable to confront them directly. Their alliance is too strong," the black-haired man respectfully reported.

"It doesn’t matter," the Night King said indifferently. "There will be an opportunity... As much as we dread them, they also fear us. Have Raymond and his men come to see me."

Hua Nation, Ping City

2:56 PM

Lin Fei stood quietly in the First Sword Room of the Swordsmanship Club. The curtains were drawn back, and the midday sun spilled in from outside the window, reflecting a lustrous sheen on the floor.

Hiss...

After a faint sound, the space behind Lin Fei twisted abruptly, and two figures directly emerged—it was Yuan Yicheng and the man in golden clothes.

"Sir, we have arrived," Yuan Yicheng said softly.

"How did it go?"

"We’ve shaken off the pursuit. Why not kill those people? There’s no need for us to fear them, right?" the man in golden clothes asked, puzzled.

"It’s nothing. What’s the significance of killing or not? To him, such characters are inconsequential," Lin Fei turned around, and the light cast a shadow over his face. "We must prepare for the Blood Sacrifice."

"Yes."

The man in golden clothes muttered disinterestedly.

"Well, according to the data I’ve analyzed, the stronger the offerings provided during the Blood Sacrifice, the greater the accumulation and help for us. That’s also one of the reasons I was able to catch up with Yuan Yicheng so quickly. He started out much earlier than me, and now he’s somewhat being overtaken by me."

"Are you looking for trouble?" Yuan Yicheng’s expression cooled.

"I’m merely stating the facts," the man in golden clothes said with a smile.

"Let’s try it again this time. Have you found a good offering?" Lin Fei asked gently.

"We have."

Southwest Province, Dongming City

Outside the government building

"Attention inside, you are surrounded! Lay down your weapons, release the hostages, and surrender now to reduce your sentence! There is no point in struggling! Think about your parents, think about your family..."

The loudspeaker’s voice resounded continuously outside the government building.

The entire government building was composed entirely of silver and white, with silver representing windows and white for construction materials. The multi-story building was fan-shaped, wider in width than in height. Seen from above, it resembled a semi-circular arc, exceptionally grand and elegant.

Surrounding the building was a large field of grass, serving as the government’s green belt.

At this moment, across the green belt, police cars were parked steadily, forming a large encirclement. Dense rows of policemen and riot police took cover behind the cars, using them as barriers while calling out to those inside.

Outside the cordoned-off area, large crowds gathered to watch the situation unfold, with some policemen left behind to maintain order and advising the onlookers to leave.

A police car approached hastily, its siren piercing the air.

The car stopped just outside the cordon soon enough.

As the car door opened, a slightly overweight middle-aged man stepped out. A police squad leader maintaining order stepped forward to greet him.

"Chief Cao, you’re here."

The middle-aged man nodded.

"What’s the situation inside? Are the hostages safe?"

"The other party has not made any demands, and they don’t respond to any of our calls. They have just been silent," the squad leader said, helplessly.

"Have you tried infiltrating for an assault?"

"We’ve tried. But no matter how we try to infiltrate, we get exposed by them in advance. We’re out of options."

"Secretary Wang and other leaders from the municipal committee will be arriving soon. They are on their way. Allocate some police force immediately to ensure their security," Chief Cao ordered.

"Understood."

"As for this place..." Chief Cao squinted his eyes, the chubby round face reducing to a mere slit. He took the lead and walked towards the building.

Policemen along the way greeted him in hushed tones.

The squad leader and others followed closely behind him. Soon the group reached the police cordon formed by parked cars.

"How is it going?" Chief Cao inquired.

"We’re at a standstill!" the police officer in charge of organizing the assault rescue responded sternly. "The opponents are very cunning and seem to have something akin to surveillance devices. Our security monitoring experts are investigating."

"How much longer will it take?" Chief Cao stared gravely at the government building.

At that moment, the originally luxurious building seemed lifeless.

"About twenty minutes."

"No, that’s too slow!" Chief Cao pulled out his phone and dialed a number. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, welcome to QiDian (qidian.com) to vote for recommendation tickets and monthly tickets. Your support is my biggest motivation.)
