Chapter 331: Chapter 310: Embryo 2_2

In one of the small compartments, the voice of a middle-aged man rang out, clearly synthesized English.

"Not bad, but do you plan to use this as a bargaining chip? If that’s the case, I can offer a similar venue for the meeting," the aged voice of a woman came from another compartment.

"Of course not, although we are unclear about each other’s real identities, haven’t we come here to unite our networks and power? Each one of us has a colossal accumulation beyond the imagination of ordinary people. I presume no one here will take this lightly," another voice said.

"Well, now we’re only missing the last one," the previously speaking middle-aged man stated calmly.

Hisss!

The large screen suddenly went dark, and a number of small projectors popped out instantaneously on all four walls. Beams of white light shot down, instantly forming images of virtual shadows.

Six projections in total, but one of them was still blurry. The six positions formed a circle with a large white table in the center.

In these projections, most faces were blurred, and the others were shrouded in a faint mist.

"We are missing one. As the liaison, it seems insincere not to attend," one of the images spoke with displeasure.

Hiss...

In the empty position, a blurry shadow suddenly appeared.

"I apologize for keeping you waiting," the figure enshrouded in a faint golden aura said as it settled into the high-back chair, hands resting on the armrests, with wisps of blue mist faintly visible around it.

"Now that everyone is here, the next order of business is the organizational structure. My suggestion is for a council system," it proposed.

"There’s no other system that would work. No one sitting here is willing to bow to anyone else," an elderly voice concurred.

"I have no objections," a voice from the left side position said, where the projection of a tall man in a black suit propped his face with his hand.

"So, who shall take the position of the Chair?" He tapped his fingers lightly on the round table, and despite only being a holographic projection, crisp tapping sounds emanated, as a tremendous aura slowly spread out, filling the room with the thick, viscous scent of blood.

"You are Gajiel!" one of the figures changed color slightly, "I hadn’t expected you to join as well. Since you are here, there’s no one more fitting than you for the Chair," an elderly voice on the right side said with a hint of apprehension.

"The fifth Earl Gajiel... it is you!" the synthesized voice earlier on also said with apprehension.

"How boring, to recognize me so quickly?" The man in the suit dissipated the mist concealing his face, revealing a countenance stunningly beautiful yet otherworldly. His eyes shone like rubies, and his complexion was as pale as a vampire from legend.

"Gajiel, it’s been a while. Who would have thought we would meet under these circumstances," one of the remaining two positions spoke up, their voice calm as the figure wrapped in white smoke slowly said. The mist dissipated instantly.

An elderly person with white hair rested both hands on a black cane taller than herself, eyes narrow and purely black like a serpent’s. She sat tranquilly, with inconspicuous serpent shadows undulating by her side.

"Angelia, centuries have passed and you’re still not dead. The feeling of extending life with snake venom must not be pleasant," Gajiel said with a smile.

"You’re one to talk. Isn’t the taste of human blood tiresome after all these years?" the old woman replied coldly.

The mist around Angelia’s place also began to clear slowly.

"Since we’re all old acquaintances, there’s no need to hide any longer," a blond man sporting a goatee said as he gently swirled his wine glass. A lethargic aura immediately diffused around him.

"Night King, Serpent Demon, it’s been a long time."

"Griffin... you’re here too." Angelia’s grip on her staff tightened.

"Almost half of the top power in the Dream World is present today. It’s a rare occasion. I originally thought I had a sure shot at becoming the council chair, but now the suspense is quite significant."

"Isn’t suspense better? Everything being predetermined is simply too boring." Griffin lifted his glass of red wine and took a sip.

The remaining two places fell silent for a while.

"Since the three mighty ones are here, we feel unqualified to participate in such a level; the council chair should naturally be chosen from among you three. We have no objections," said a synthesized voice from the host location.

"Of course." The Night King tapped heavily on the table and turned his gaze to the only place that had remained silent.

"The organization Golden is quite impressive, and as its creator, I allow you to have your own decision-making power."

"Allow?" The golden silhouette that had been silent all along chuckled lightly. "Night King, do I need your permission?"

Woosh!!

A burst of blue and gold aura exploded, transforming into a breeze that swept towards the Night King.

The latter’s expression changed slightly. A blood-colored light membrane around him flickered and instantly neutralized the gold and blue aura, disintegrating it into countless points of light.

"Very well," the Night King said in a deep voice.

"I acknowledge your qualification. Who would have thought that another A-tier had emerged in our Dream World. Let’s compete on fair grounds."

Within the golden aura, Lin Fei’s expression also changed slightly; the Night King’s strength exceeded his imagination.

"The aura of the Divine Artifact combined with blue fire, which completely restrains Dream Eaters, still can’t suppress the other party. This guy... must have A-tier Strength pertaining to Dream Eaters..."

He could clearly feel that, like himself, the other party had only used a fraction of their power; the outcome of a real fight was still unknown. If it were not for the blue fire completely restraining dream power, he probably would’ve been instantly killed as well.

"Three A-tiers..." Lin Fei’s gaze swept over the other three. He hadn’t expected that such powerful forces were hidden within the Dream World.

"Now, let’s discuss the formal establishment of our organization. Our joint scope, rights and duties, and our goal!" Griffin spoke calmly. "The Outer World has been occupied by the Inner World people for too long. I’ve had enough of living in the shadows; we Dream Eaters are by nature superior to humans. We have twice the usable time as ordinary humans; the world should be ruled by our superior race."

"This has always been our ideal," the Serpent Demon said coldly. "Now, the power of Golden has brought us together; this is an opportunity. If all of us unite, no one can stop us!"

"Is that so?" The Night King, with hands clasped together, began to chuckle. "I must remind you all of the existence of other forces like the heretical Temple of the Gods; what is your view on that?"

"Time can also accumulate strength; what we lack is merely lifespan. Given time, everything is possible," Griffin said evenly. "As long as we come together thoroughly, starting with taking control of Elisa’s Gate."

"An excellent proposition," said Lin Fei. "It so happens I have a mark of Elisa’s Gate in my hand." He reached out, and a miniature version of Elisa’s Gate slowly emerged in his palm, continuously rotating.

At once, everyone’s gaze focused on Lin Fei’s hand.

"No force in the world can stop our advance..." Griffin mumbled. "Everything is ours!" (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, welcome to Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your recommendation votes, Monthly Tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
