True Solution of the Sword Dao -
Chapter 317 - 299 Mark One
Chapter 317: Chapter 299 Mark One
Clang!
The silver sword blade harshly stabbed into the wall at the mouth of the alley.
The silver thread emanated from Lin Fei’s hand spread out instantly, flying straight towards the direction of the Silver Armored Knight.
"What is this? Lauren, help quickly!" the knight yelled pulling out his Knight’s Sword from his waist with swift movements, while his body glowed with wisps of white light.
"Holy!"
He roared, swinging the Sword fiercely at the floating silver thread. The moment the Knight’s Sword and the silver thread collided, a burst of sparks erupted and then silently disappeared immediately.
Lin Fei’s face darkened slightly as he slightly lifted the Black Demon Sword.
"What is that?" A tall knight enveloped in white light slowly emerged next to the Silver Armored Knight he was looking at. In his hand he held a Tower Shield sprinkled with fragments of golden light. The shield was covered in densely packed characters and patterns that gave it an ancient look, carrying a strong religious aura.
"Heretic! Die!" The knight holding the Tower Shield roared, charging directly towards Lin Fei.
Lin Fei frowned and, with a flash, disappeared from the spot, instantly appearing next to the Red Armored Knight.
"Hand it over."
The woman in the red armor bit her lip, about to speak.
Swish!
A streak of silver flashed by. Startled, the female knight instinctively withdrew her hand, only to feel a pain at her fingertips, and looked down to see the Elisa’s Gate in her hand had vanished, and the tip of her finger had been sliced off, leaving only a thin piece of flesh.
And the small gate naturally fell downwards with gravity.
Lin Fei reached out with one hand.
"Not so fast!"
Two booming roars came from behind, followed by earth-shattering footsteps like armored trampling.
"Holy!" The tall knight holding the Tower Shield bellowed, his body suddenly bursting with a pale golden-white halo of light.
A layer of white energy, resembling electricity, instantly dissipated. It radiated irregularly in all directions.
Lin Fei glanced at the small gate before him, feeling the massive energy behind him. Without unleashing Extreme Shadow, his strength was that of an average B-level fighter, perhaps a bit stronger due to the Star Shattering Sword Technique. But definitely not much stronger, still at the initial stage of the B-level. With such power, facing this kind of outburst, he would be seriously injured.
Lin Fei immediately assessed the situation. Even his body, strengthened by the Third Layer of Qi Cultivation, wouldn’t be able to withstand the impact of this magnitude of force. And that was just him—if it had been an ordinary B-level fighter, they probably would’ve already suffered minor injuries under this aura.
"That’s the Lion King Tagore’s Shield!" The Red Armored female knight exclaimed, "My god! The legendary Holy Artifact!"
Lin Fei decisively gave up on the small gate that was almost in his grasp, his figure flickering as he swiftly retreated from his original position, instantly appearing behind the two Red Armored Knights. He reached out for the female knight.
The white energy current charged towards the three of them without hesitation.
"Quick, get out of here!" the female knight shouted, but her voice was weak against the hissing electricity-like noise. The middle-aged knight next to her nodded, his body flashing with red light.
"Hiss..." After a grating noise, the two of them, along with Elisa’s Gate, vanished outright. Lin Fei’s attempt to grasp was futile as he neatly dodged the white current.
"It’s Teleportation! They haven’t gone far! They’re nearby! Chase them!" The Tower Shield Knight roared, reining in the countless white currents, facing Lin Fei head-on. "I’ll deal with this guy!"
"Lauren, try to delay him as much as you can!" another Silver Armored Knight shouted, rapidly leaving the alley.
Lin Fei’s expression was somber.
The reason he had been insisting the female knight hand over the small gate was because he feared the move of Instantaneous Movement; unless they wished to, someone could keep changing locations via Teleport and couldn’t be tracked, but now the situation seemed to have become more troublesome. Sure enough, the middle-aged knight emitted an aura that was remarkably similar to that of other teleporters he had encountered before.
True Force surged out as Lin Fei strained to sense the location of the two Red Armored Knights, but disappointingly, they appeared to be masters of hiding their aura, blending perfectly with ordinary people. Clearly, they were a knight order with a long heritage.
Glancing at the body of the Holy See Knight on the ground, Lin Fei felt a surge of irritation. If the two knights kept teleporting, the situation could become extremely complex. He didn’t know why his pseudo True Force reacted with Elisa’s Gate, but the item was definitely something he had to obtain. He had a feeling that the newly emerged Elisa’s Gate and the pseudo True Force were intricately linked.
But regardless, he really disliked such unexpected events!
Unprepared and unforeseen, this feeling of being caught off-guard was incredibly irritating. Since his rebirth, everything had gone according to plan, with hardly anything outside his calculations.
"Tagore!!" The Tower Shield Knight bellowed in an almost chanting manner, charging forward fiercely, the entire figure resembling a humanoid mecha. A golden lion’s head slowly emerged on the shimmering golden surface of Tagore’s Shield.
Roar!!
The lion’s head roared, emitting a ring of clear shockwaves. It seemed as though the moment the waves were released, they already took effect.
Lin Fei instantly felt his body stagnate, as if a layer of shackles had been placed over his entire being.
"Is this the Holy Artifact? The legendary Lion King Tagore’s Shield?" Lin Fei watched the knight charging at him, his huge tower shield radiating a dazzling platinum light.
In Lin Fei’s knowledge, the Mage’s Eye had incidentally mentioned information about Holy Artifacts.
Legend had it that the Holy See possessed a total of fifteen complete sets of Holy Artifacts, as well as other various inherited ones. Each artifact held extremely powerful and mysterious capabilities. They could easily elevate the prowess of a low-level Knight or clergy member by an entire level. They were also infused with almost inexhaustible energy, for each Holy Artifact continuously absorbed and stored immense energy over time. This power became ever more substantial with the passage of time.
This Tagore’s Shield seemed to be the same, with such robust strength practically exploding for free. Each burst displayed the power of a true B-level Strength, which was an accumulation of the Lion King Shield itself. This meant that the current knight was entirely relying on the Lion King Shield to confront Lin Fei.
If it weren’t for Elisa’s Gate, Lin Fei might actually be interested in studying this legendary Holy Artifact now. Unfortunately, there was no time. From the Red Armor Knight’s Teleportation to Tagore’s Shield’s explosion, it had only been the blink of an eye.
Lin Fei’s expression was calm as he slightly swung the Black Demon Sword in his hand. A surge of dark energy suddenly burst forth. This was the energy stored in the Black Demon Sword over time, which had even at one point tried to influence Lin Fei’s mind. Releasing it now was an opportune recycling of waste.
Under the white light, the dark energy was instantly eroded away without leaving a trace, and the Black Demon Sword quickly dimmed. Taking advantage of this brief moment, Lin Fei’s figure completely vanished.
*************
At a residential area in Bucharest, within the underground parking lot.
In the cold, dark parking area, a puff of red mist suddenly appeared out of nowhere, then rapidly expanded. In the blink of an eye, two red figures appeared in the middle of the parking lot.
"Daisy, I... might not make it..." The middle-aged Knight was spitting up blood, speaking somewhat unclearly.
"It’s okay! You won’t be in trouble! Just one more Teleport, and we can go to headquarters. They have the best Divine Arts to heal you there!! You’ll definitely be alright!" The female Knight’s voice was also slightly choked up.
"Daisy... my child... keep running... to the headquarters... keep going... don’t... don’t die..." The middle-aged Knight’s head slumped to the side, and he fell completely silent.
Daisy embraced the middle-aged Knight in a daze, her tears no longer containable, quietly streaming down her cheeks.
"No!! Don’t leave me! Father!!" She cried softly, suppressing her voice.
Just then, waves of strong auras slowly spread over the entire city. Daisy knew these were the powers of the Eastern Orthodox Cult that leaned towards the Holy See, searching for her.
But now, without her father’s Instantaneous Movement, where could she possibly escape to?
Embracing her father, she suddenly felt a sense of despair.

On the streets
Lin Fei’s figure flickered constantly, and every time he reappeared, it was dozens of meters away from his original position, his vast True Force slowly enveloping every inch of the surrounding land. A thin layer of the Holy Artifact Barrier mixed with True Force covered him, making it utterly imperceptible to ordinary people and slightly weaker fighters.
The scope of the True Force covered a radius of several hundred meters.
While constantly moving at high speeds, the normally quiet streets of Bucharest seemed to have a lot more clergy in black robes and government officials in suits. Here, the church and the government were closely linked, and it was only natural for people from both sides to appear together.
These people appeared to be distributed randomly at key intersections. Their gaze continually swept over the crowd. Although they seemed relaxed on the surface, the atmosphere was extremely tense.
"It looks like the whole city is mobilized." Lin Fei passed through another blockade with a serene face, scanning the surrounding areas in a rapid circular motion.
Within this circle, a stern-faced elderly woman in a black robe stood at the forefront of the crowd. She was tall and erect, and despite the wrinkles on her face, she did not look like an old person at all. She seemed like a young woman at her Peak, disguised as an old woman.
In the instant Lin Fei passed by, the elderly woman’s eyes flickered with a touch of doubt. She glanced in the direction of the blockade he had passed, but detected nothing.
"What is it, Lady Mariana?" a young nun asked softly.
"It might just be my imagination," Mariana answered, shaking her head. "The Holy See’s Judgment Knight has already used a Holy Artifact. Seems like the opponent is not weak! Has Bishop Vandla not arrived yet?" she inquired.
"They said he’s on the way," the young nun replied respectfully.
"Regardless of whether it’s the true mark of Elisa’s Gate, just this kind of audacious behavior alone is enough for the Holy See to apologize and compensate us, the Eastern Orthodox Cult. We cannot back down any longer," Mariana said in a firm tone. (To be continued. If you like this work, welcome to Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your vote for the recommended ticket, monthly ticket.
