True Solution of the Sword Dao
Chapter 316 - 298: Holy Spirit 2

Chapter 316: Chapter 298: Holy Spirit 2

"""However, the current problem is that as a power, wanting to grow and expand in the external world—a dangerous world where strong individuals lurk—is undoubtedly next to impossible. The situation now is that each area has already formed fixed spheres of influence, and any major changes would certainly not be overlooked by intelligence agencies like Mage’s Eye. By then, they would probably even search out our very foundation.""" Lin Fei’s thoughts flashed continuously, and the newly fused True Force which had transformed his strength was enhancing his body every moment. Now, his brain capacity far exceeded that of when he had started. """Then, we can only act as a concealed organization, do not get involved widely, and just use it to integrate the strength of all forces; that should be unproblematic."""

In fact, Lin Fei had this idea a long time ago. The current weak situation in Hua Nation is not because there are no talented and powerful individuals; rather, it’s because of the heretical Temple of the Gods’ subsidiary organizations, as well as Shueisha’s plundering, that nearly ninety percent of psychics or powerful individuals must join these large organizations. Particularly, the heretics and Temple of the Gods’ subsidiaries take precedence far beyond Shueisha, effectively forcing most powerhouses and psychics into their control. This leaves Hua Nation no chance to accumulate its own strength.

Such a system has led to the abnormal phenomenon where the Dream Eater World’s overall strength has actually surpassed that of the Inner World’s overall strength.

If there were an organization that could quietly gather these talents native to Hua Nation, the day of Hua Nation’s rise to power would not be far off.

While he was pondering, a sudden loud noise came from outside the window.

Boom—like fireworks being set off, even the windows shook. Then, one by one, gigantic, colorful fireworks burst in the sky, transforming the entire afternoon sky into a splendidly colorful canvas.

Lin Fei stood up, walked to the window, but what he saw was not the splendid fireworks.

"This is..." In his eyes, a huge white Barrier enveloped the distant sky.

"It must be the Holy See’s protection..." Lin Fei recognized the type of Barrier. Although he had never seen it in person, he had come across descriptions and images in the intelligence from Mage’s Eye. "There are people from the Holy See fighting. The fireworks are just for cover."

Immediately after, a continuous stream of black cars sped down the street below, all of them radiating a faint aura of power, clearly local forces were mobilizing.

Lin Fei glanced at them, and in one of the cars in the middle, he could see a brown-haired man on the phone through the open window, his expression serious.

Bang!! A huge red firework suddenly burst open. But within the white protection of the Holy See in Lin Fei’s view, a fiery red shadow suddenly broke through the Barrier, shooting into the nearby buildings like a meteor, its landing place unknown. Then, several strong auras up to C-class spread out, closely following the red shadow’s movement, at an extremely fast pace.

"This is the headquarters of the Eastern Orthodox Cult. Who would be so bold as to make such a big scene so openly?" Lin Fei’s eyes flickered.

***************

In Bucharest, on a street corner within an alley, two red shadows suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Like a mist materializing suddenly. The mist quickly cleared, revealing two figures; they were two individuals clad in blood-red full body armor—one of them tall and without a face guard, a middle-aged man. The other had a graceful figure, with the red armor perfectly outlining a curvaceous body line, light red hair streaming down, wearing a thin black mask that left only a pair of eyes and the lower part of her face exposed. Still, one could tell from her delicate, exquisite skin that her beauty was well above average."""

"Elite! How many more times can you use Instantaneous Movement?" the woman asked urgently.

The middle-aged man was panting heavily, "Three more times... about, enough to send the stuff back. There must be absolutely no mistakes in this mission! Even in death, we can’t let those false believers from the Vatican steal it!"

"There is definitely a mole within us; this operation was extremely secretive, yet it was still discovered. Head directly to headquarters—there will be people there to protect us. I just hope they don’t catch up with us before then. Even internally, we cannot let the Vatican benefit," the woman declared decisively.

"It’s a pity you won’t have the chance," a figure slowly walked in from the mouth of the alleyway. This was a tall knight in silver armor, with a hawk-like nose and sunken eyes, giving off an air of austerity. "Knight of the Blood Curtain, hand over the items. You have no chance," he said.

****************

Lin Fei was slowly walking down the street, with black cars passing by next to him from time to time, and the pedestrians on the roadside seemed hurried. He moved directly and straight towards the direction from which the aura emanated.

Having strong confidence in the hidden properties of the new True Force, only peak B-grade powerhouses like Sulan Bei’er, the strongest in Australia, could detect its presence. To the passing Eastern Orthodox Cult’s powerhouses around him, he was just an ordinary foreign tourist.

To the current Lin Fei, any matter concerning the Holy See needed as much information as possible. This outbreak was no exception. It was a rare opportunity for observation about the combat methods of the Holy See’s people, as well as some of their other common tactics, internal rankings, etc.

Following the street and moving forward, Lin Fei sensed that the aura of the Holy See’s people and the previous faint red aura were getting closer. As the distance narrowed, a faint red membrane suddenly appeared before him.

Lin Fei stopped in his tracks, tilted his head slightly, and saw the entire neighborhood enveloped by a red membrane. Without special means, it was impossible to reach the battling members of the Holy See inside. He could see it because of his own aura of "force." To the average person, there would be no signs visible at all.

Lin Fei stood in front of the membrane, while around him, many people in formal suits were waiting for something.

Lin Fei paused only briefly before naturally walking into the membrane, passing through the red barrier with no hindrance, just like the ordinary people around him.

From a few parked cars nearby, a bearded man frowned as he stared at the large red barrier, speaking with others in the car, completely unaware of Lin Fei’s presence.

As soon as Lin Fei entered the barrier, a peculiar aura caused him to pause.

"This aura?" Rapidly, memories flew through his mind, and he fixated on a small silver metal knife. "It’s pseudo-True Force, the essence of pseudo-True Force!" Lin Fei’s expression shifted slightly, "Why is there pseudo-True Force here?" Since merging with the green seed, he hadn’t seen any pseudo-True Force traces again. The last time, those seeds were said to be from remnants of the Inner World by that powerhouse. Now in the real world, pseudo-True Force’s presence here might similarly be brought over by a powerhouse from the Inner World.

Determined in his heart, pseudo-True Force had brought many benefits to Lin Fei, and it seemed to have a massive restraining power against the mysterious Sword Canon. He had a vague sense that pseudo-True Force might be a kind of lost power.

After turning a corner in the street block, a silver figure stood silently at the mouth of an alleyway, facing inside. Streams of people frequently passed by his side, yet no one cast even a glance at him. It was as if he were merely an illusion, invisible to ordinary people.

The figure was clad in silver armor, which bore a striking resemblance to the style of the Holy See Knights that Lin Fei had once seen through the Mage’s Eye.

"...hand it over! You stand no chance," said the Silver Armored Knight indifferently.

Lin Fei lowered his head, his facial features shifting rapidly before finally settling on a somewhat familiar face from his memory. He touched his cheek with a hint of wistfulness and strode towards the Silver Armored Knight.

As if sensing something, the Silver Armored Knight slightly turned his face aside.

Lin Fei walked toward him with a smile, heading straight for him.

The two passed by each other.

Hiss!!

A flash of blood suddenly dispersed.

The knight, in disbelief, clutched at his throat, staring fixedly at Lin Fei beside him. "You... ha... ha...", the broken trachea let out bursts of air flow. Fresh blood soaked the upper half of his silver armor straight from his neck. He collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Lin Fei gently shook his longsword, and droplets of blood slowly fell from the tip of the blade.

The two figures in the alley were both knights in armor, but theirs was red instead. Both seemed to be taken aback by the abrupt change of events and could only stare dumbfounded as Lin Fei, sword in hand, slowly walked into the alley.

"Are you also here for this artefact?" said the female knight with a grave voice.

"Give it to me," Lin Fei said with a smile, "or die."

The female knight smiled bitterly. "To think you would dare kill even a person from the Vatican..." Knowing his unflinching attitude also revealed his absolute resolve, she cautiously reached out her palm, and a tiny light suddenly began to condense within it. Soon, it formed a small, black gate, spinning in the hand of the female knight like a child’s toy and emitting a faint green light.

"Elisa’s Gate..." Lin Fei’s breath almost caught in his throat. In that moment, a subtle yet incredibly pure aura suddenly surged into his mind.

Everything before his eyes turned dark.

In the endless dark void, a snow-white figure seemed to be the center of everything, quietly floating. In front of the figure, a boundless expanse of darkness reached out a hand, like a giant grasping at the figure. A strange laughter abruptly filled the air.

"The pinnacle of Sword Dao lies solely in the heart." The figure gently raised a hand, and a brilliant light suddenly flashed.

Lin Fei’s vision filled with whiteness. The grating laughter intermingled with the figure’s speech, battering his heart like a heavy hammer.

"Pfft!"

A mouthful of fresh blood suddenly sprayed forth.

His vision instantly returned to reality.

The Elisa’s Gate still floated in the palm of the female knight.

A voice inside Lin Fei repeatedly told him, "That object is very important to you, very important."

"Give it to me," Lin Fei said in a deep voice.

The two female knights looked at him in surprise, but their hands remained motionless.

Hiss!

Lin Fei suddenly vanished from the spot.

Bang!!

A silver figure appeared instantly in front of the two knights, colliding straight into Lin Fei. The two were forced to retreat.

"Gadget!! Damn it!!" The Silver Armored Knight’s expression changed. "To think he’s even faster than me!"

Lin Fei’s expression was indifferent as he flicked his longsword. A silver arc suddenly swept out.

At the same time, a silent silver sword edge attacked Lin Fei from behind. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to Shueisha (qidian.com) to vote for recommendation tickets, monthly tickets, and your support is my greatest motivation.)
