Chapter 309: Chapter 293 Eastern Orthodox Church Part 1 (Requesting Monthly Ticket for next month, thank you everyone for the support, let’s not start with a single Chapter...)

Hua Nation, Ping City

Lin Fei sat in the president’s office chair, a thin file laid out before him.

"Xu Ruoruo has already begun to occupy the surrounding cities. We don’t need much, just a stable defense circle," Lin Fei traced a circle on the document. "This afternoon is the time to leave with Lin You and the others; all these matters must be arranged properly."

"The ’Star Shattering Sword Art’ has been stuck at the initial Planet Level of Qi Cultivation; without a breakthrough in the cultivation Chapter, there won’t be any significant change in strength. Now I’ve also reached the twelfth chart of the Third Layer. What I most need is time...." Lin Fei had a vague feeling that this trip to Europe might not be so simple and safe. In his previous life, he didn’t know if Lin You and the others had ever gone to Europe, but this time, he must be fully prepared.

The neighboring city, Dawn City

With nightfall, a convoy of black sedans sped into the toll station at the entrance to the Dawn City region. After paying the toll in the normal procedure, the black vehicles slowly disappeared into the night.

In one of the cars, a young woman dressed in plain white clothing sat calmly in the backseat.

"Ruoruo sis, we are nearly there. But it looks like they are already waiting for us halfway. What should we do now?" asked a young girl driving the car, unclearly blowing bubble gum.

"Let the fifth go down, deal with them, then we can hit the road," Xu Ruoruo stated indifferently.

The young girl driving picked up the walkie-talkie beside her.

"Number five, it’s your turn. Go show them what you’ve got! The guys ahead are all on you."

"Why is it always me?"

"It’s what the eldest sister decided."

"Fine, fine, fine~~" the man in the walkie-talkie said helplessly. "Always busy, no matter where I go."

Not far ahead of the convoy, four or five vans and two transport trucks were parked by the roadside, lined up leaving only one passage. A few people stood by the vehicles.

"They’re here! Be careful everyone! They’ve arrived!"

The large trucks slowly moved, completely blocking the road. Two men descended from atop. Unlike the others around them, these two men seemed to have an unusual, faint pressure emanating from them.

"They’re here! The aura of the opponents is very extraordinary," one of the men said with a serious expression.

"This is a mission handed down from above, let’s give it a try. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll retreat," said the other man nonchalantly. He then quickly drew a silver Browning pistol from behind his waist, it was unclear where he had hidden it earlier.

The black vehicles drew closer, intensifying the tension in the men’s gaze.

February 19, 2006

Two o’clock in the afternoon.

Capital of Romania, Bucharest Airport

A white passenger plane slowly landed.

With a loud roar, the airport broadcast repeated the flight number and boarding call in sweet American English and Romanian.

Some passengers waiting to board started queuing at the boarding gate.

Down the stairs extended from the passenger plane, disembarking passengers began to flood out. Among these people, a group appeared slightly distinct.

Leading the group was a mature and beautiful blonde woman, and only two adults were in the entire group, both being beautiful blondes. The rest were young, one an Eastern male, three young women.

Notably, all the females in the group were quite attractive.

This group was Lin Fei and his companions, departing from Hua Nation.

Following the usual procedures, they left the airport. The group boarded a city-bound airport shuttle bus. There were few passengers on the bus, clearly, most passengers preferred their personal vehicles.

Lin Fei and Chris sat together in one row, Lin You and Feil took another row, and then came Merrill and Cheng Guang; three distinct groups evenly separated.

Lin You kept a respectful and cautious distance from both Lin Fei and Merrill. In Lin Fei’s presence, she felt an overwhelming pressure, while in Merrill’s presence, several unnerving encounters ensured she had no intention of trying her luck again.

Meanwhile, Lin Fei had chosen to sit with Chris of his own accord.

With few passengers on the bus and the only Asians being Lin Fei and Lin You.

Looking out the window, one could see a dense, lush green forest outside. It felt less like they had just left the airport heading to the city and more like they were en route to an uninhabited wilderness.

"Bucharest, as the capital of Romania, is famously known as a ’garden city.’ I must take some time to tour around this place," Lin Fei said while admiring the view outside the bus window with a smile.

"However, Romanian and Hungarian are the main languages here; among us, only Chris is fluent. Your wish to wander around might not be approved," Merrill said with a smile.

"Is that so?" Lin Fei stopped talking. Following them to this place, in any position, the whole of Europe lay under the Holy See’s influence. Although Romania was not within the domain of Western Europe’s Holy See, the Eastern Orthodox Cult, which had jurisdiction here, was also a dominant mainstream faction ranked very high within the Religious Faction and shared the same faith as the Vatican. Entering such a region also carried certain risks; even if there were differences between the Eastern Orthodox Cult and the Vatican, it was difficult to ensure there were no connections between their powers. However, the internal structure of the Eastern Orthodox was not that simple. Not all forces were inclined toward the Vatican.

The entire cabin fell silent, with Lin You, Feil, and others succumbing to it. Perhaps it was the arrival in an entirely new and unfamiliar environment; they naturally felt a bit anxious and weren’t quite able to relax.
