True Solution of the Sword Dao
Chapter 255 - 243 Examination One

Chapter 255: Chapter 243 Examination One

"The problem is obvious now, my reliance on the Sword Canon is too strong. However, strictly speaking, some content of the Sword Canon, actually, does not belong to the Qi Cultivation section. Those are supplemental Chapters left by Zhang Yuan of Jue Xian Sect and Yan Shi’s swordsmanship isn’t included in the Sword Canon either. That swordsmanship relies purely on momentum to fight, although it is derived from abilities excavated from the Sword Canon." Lin Fei quickly sorted out the differences between each part.

"However, the strength I presently rely on is mostly supported by the Sword Canon. Perhaps I need to find an opportunity to make some preparations," Lin Fei’s eyes flickered with a hint of light.

"Exit space."

The surroundings instantly switched back to the original classroom.

The noon sunlight slanted in from outside the library, falling on the floor beside the window, reflecting a white brightness and illuminating the entire classroom.

Sitting at the desk, Lin Fei suddenly felt a bit weary.

"The Sword Canon, faux True Force, external enemies, the Dream Eating World, and that Aisaha. Everything is getting more chaotic." He turned his face toward the window; the bright sunlight revealed every detail of the garden outside, vivid and splendid.

"I once used the Sword Canon to awaken my own momentum. Only now do I realize that all I actually possess is the ability of the Sword Canon," Lin Fei sighed softly.

"During the test mission for Shueisha, I thought my sword would become purer. I never expected to become even more dependent on the Sword Canon."

Lin Fei spread out his hand, and strands of blue smoke slowly kindled in his palm.

"This is the momentum awakened by visualizing the Divine Beast. It was originally mixed with Yan Shi’s momentum, but now it’s gone. Now, I am completely bound to the Sword Canon. It is my source of power."

"And last time, what exactly was that strange substance that the Sword Canon transferred into my body? Without the parts of the Divine Artifact, I can only choose to accept it. But what about the consequences of acceptance?" Lin Fei felt vaguely uncomfortable.

With a thought, parts of the Divine Artifact instantly appeared in his hand.

Suddenly, his eyes widened, a look of shock passing through them.

In the palm of his hand, the originally crystal-clear Divine Instrument Diamond was now faintly circulating with wisps of black air inside it.

"Even the parts of the Divine Artifact can’t eliminate it?" Lin Fei’s face darkened slightly. Although his body had become extraordinarily pure, the fact that parts of the Divine Artifact could be eroded by that strange substance was evident, and it was clear that he had to take measures to stop it promptly.

"According to the usage method transmitted from the parts of the Divine Artifact, a single part does not possess the power of automatic cleansing; only by collecting the full set can one have the entire cleansing power. Perhaps continuing to collect other parts is a better choice." Lin Fei’s mind raced; with his current strength, and the blue fire that extremely restrained Dream Eaters, he had no problem dealing with B-level Dream Eaters. As for higher-level powerhouses, he did not have a reference yet, so it was unclear whether he could be confident against them.

"With my current strength, as long as I’m careful, collecting other parts shouldn’t be a problem." Lin Fei set a new goal – to collect the entire Divine Artifact. From what it seems, the Divine Instrument True Lies appears to have a certain purifying effect on the Sword Canon, which is of great help to him.

As for that black substance, Lin Fei felt uncomfortable just by looking at it. Clearly, it wasn’t anything good.

"Now I have two paths to choose from, one is to find out the harmful aspects of the Sword Canon, to avoid its harmful effects. The second is to use faux True Force or the Power of the Divine Artifact to confront and purify the Sword Canon. These two paths can actually merge into one, that is, to collect the Divine Artifacts and to uncover the secrets of the faux True Force."

"Before achieving these two goals, I can only temporarily abandon the True Force flowing from the space. Now it is best to just wait for a breakthrough to the Second Layer, to revive either a Gold Coat or Ye Yuhua, or to find another stronger one. In any case, Lin You’s progress is getting closer, and I must speed up my preparations," Lin Fei narrowed his eyes.

Europe, United Kingdom, near Liverpool

Inside a small roadside coffee shop, the warm orange light seemed to make the entire café cozy. On the dark street outside, a row of streetlights had one right above the café that wasn’t lit, seemingly broken.

An attractive blonde waitress carefully brought over a steaming cup of the most affordable Blue Mountain coffee. She placed it on the table of a man sitting by the window.

"Thank you," the man’s English had a hint of a London accent.

He appeared to be in his thirties, with a beard and tough eyes. He wore a grey windbreaker and a crew cut, resembling a freshly discharged soldier. Thus, despite his average looks, his unique aura added a lot to his appearance.

The man picked up the coffee and took a gentle sip. The temperature was just right, and the sweetness was moderate, which was why he liked coming to this café – the coffee always suited his taste.

Turning to the window, he could see the street outside clearly through the promotional lettering on the glass.

On the night street, people hurried by, quickening their pace as they passed this section. But soon, two men in black leather jackets emerged from a corner, their gazes slightly dangerous, resembling snakes preparing to hunt.

The man in the café acted inconspicuously, pulling out his phone and calmly began to text.

"The renegades have shown up. This is Holy See territory, it looks like they’re not planning to back down this time."

The response came quickly.

"Nun Anna was attacked inside and is in a coma from her serious injuries. The heretic with the explosives, Jack, was killed in a counterattack. The Radiant Angel Legion has already been deployed and has begun a wide-ranging search for all heretics. Try not to stay in the United Kingdom, don’t get involved."

"I know, I’ve booked a ticket for tomorrow, I’ll be back soon." The man looked up again, and suddenly his eyes flashed with horror.

"Oh! My God!" He gasped, staring dumbfounded at a silver sedan speeding past him.

Through the open car window, he spotted a red-haired man lighting his cigarette with a lighter. The man looked exceptionally strong, his face stacked with horizontal lines, and the red hair, fiery as flames, was messily piled atop his head like ropes twisted together, giving off a wildly barbaric style.

"A domain holder of the heretics!! Oh my God!! Have these damn heretics gone mad? Do they want to wage an all-out war with the Holy See?" The man’s face was full of astonishment as the silver sedan sliced past him, followed by a convoy of black vehicles. All the vehicles in this motorcade bore a dark red flame emblem on their hoods.

"No, I have to leave here quickly, these damn madmen," muttered the man in the café, hurriedly standing up. He left money on the table and quickly walked away.

India, New Delhi, Sunny

In a small manor by the Muna River.

In the garden, an Indian woman with a red dot painted on her forehead was carefully pruning the branches. She had a gentle look in her eyes and was dressed in a white saree. Her hair was neatly tied up and coiled.

"Marie Laela, the higher-ups want us to take action." An old man entered through a gap in the garden. Oddly enough, he wore a black turban but was dressed in a neat, silver-grey suit and shiny black shoes, and a pale gold tie, which looked strangely incongruous.

"Their archangel legions are mobilized; it’s time for us to make our move," he said gravely in Hindi.

"Alright, I’m tired of this kind of life anyway," the woman replied softly, setting down her scissors.

Hua Nation, Ping City

Swordsmanship Club

Xu Ruoruo was sitting cross-legged in the Quiet Room, and after Lin Fei left, it became her main cultivation spot. Her left arm was still wrapped in a white bandage. Clearly, the wounds from the last battle had not fully healed.

In her left hand, she held a cell phone, listening intently.

"You’ve done very well, the Swordsmanship Club has expanded to twice its original size in this period, which really surprised me. As for the staffing issue you mentioned, we can directly recruit civilian swordsmanship experts to solve it."

"Understood," Xu Ruoruo replied softly.

"Also, how do you feel about joining them?" Lin Fei asked with a smile over the phone.

"President Lu values me highly. I’ve been given one of the priority safety slots for this year’s national public mission," Xu Ruoruo did not conceal anything.

"That’s good. The national public mission step is a main method our club uses to select talents. It’s best that you actively showcase yourself."

"Okay," Xu Ruoruo was now willingly under Lin Fei’s command. As her cultivation level and proficiency increased, she had become more integrated with the True Force Core. If the core were extracted now, her body would instantly die from exhaustion of vital functions. All her life energy would be pulled out along with the core. And Lin Fei was the key holder of this right. Feeling a vague apprehension, she could neither defy nor wish to challenge Lin Fei.

Moreover, an even more important factor was that she genuinely adored her current life—cultivation, killing, enjoying, and staying forever young. Her lifespan was increasing. Constantly immersing herself in her beloved swordsmanship, such a life was more than enough for her.

"Hang in there, Ruoruo, don’t worry. You have us behind you," Lin Fei said meaningfully.

****************

Lin Fei gently hung up the phone.

The Swordsmanship Club was also a part of his plan, having the new recruit Xu Ruoruo replace his presence in Shueisha’s upper echelons was his arrangement in advance.

Currently, there were four aspects to his involvement.

First, the development of the Swordsmanship Club.

Second, the need to investigate the secret of falsely produced True Force.

Third, the plotting to seize the other parts of the Divine Artifact.

Fourth, and most critically, the progress of Lin You’s news. This would also determine his estimation of future enemies. That’s why he found Ding Ning and had him infiltrate Lin You’s team as an undercover agent. (To be continued.
