Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted
Chapter 93: Don’t Leave Me!

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Don’t Leave Me!

Is this what they call regret always coming last? Victoria had already decided to confess her feelings to her husband, but now something unexpected had befallen him. When she saw the scene of the multiple accident on TV, it was the only way to get to the T&H Real Estate project. For some reason, she began to panic, and her vision began to blur.

The first thing she did was try to contact her husband repeatedly. However, her efforts were futile. She shed tears profusely and patted her chest. She cursed herself for being stupid and not treating her husband well. Now that he had been in an accident, she couldn’t do anything. All she could do was cry.

"Matthias... I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have hated you all this time. Please, the rumors aren’t true. I still want to be with you. Don’t leave me alone."

To ensure her husband was safe, Victoria finally decided to visit the accident site. Although he wasn’t answering the call, she felt there was still a small hope he was okay. If something bad happened to him, the police would now be able to contact her using his cell phone. But what if his phone wasn’t found? This was what still worried Victoria.

On the way to the accident site, Victoria kept asking the taxi driver to drive at full speed. She continued to cry as she stared out the car window, which showed that the rain had stopped. She silently prayed that her husband was still alive. There were still so many things she hadn’t done with him.

Arriving at the chaotic scene of the accident, Victoria tried to run past the police line, but the police kept stopping her. Staring at the numerous cars, mangled beyond recognition by the multiple collisions, made her breath even more labored. It was hard to imagine her beloved husband dying so suddenly just as she had accepted him.

Paramedics rushed to lift the bodies one by one from their respective cars. She kept screaming her husband’s name until her voice was hoarse. Her right hand trembled as she tried to reach for the body, which was covered in a shroud. However, the owner of the body was nowhere to be seen.

"Matthias! Matthias... please don’t leave me. I’m sorry for cursing you and hating you all this time."

Victoria eventually broke through the police line, ignoring the police officers’ continued pursuit and attempts to arrest her. Most importantly, she didn’t want to see her husband reduced to a corpse.

"Victoria!"

Hearing her husband’s loud screams, Victoria slowly turned around amidst the chaos of police officers chasing her. Seeing her husband’s appearance, which remained the same as before, she immediately ran to him, letting out her tears even more. She ran at full speed and embraced him. Unaware that everyone was watching their intimate moment, she was overjoyed that her husband had survived the accident.

"Matthias... are you hurt? You scared me!"

Matthias stroked his wife’s head slowly with a pitying look. "I told you to stay at the hotel! Why are you so stubborn?"

"How can I stay calm in the hotel, watching this accident? Especially when you’re not answering my calls!"

"Sorry, actually, when you called me, I was driving my car to avoid an accident." He immediately carried his wife away from the crowd. He didn’t feel comfortable discussing personal matters in a crowd.

Matthias invited his wife to enter his sedan car which was still intact. Seeing his wife crying harder made his heart break into pieces. Before he decided to go back to the hotel with his wife, he calmed her down first, seeing that her body continued to tremble since being at the scene of the accident.

"Victoria..."

"I want to go home, Matthias! I want to go home with you now. I’m scared now!"

"Okay, we’ll head back to the hotel now. It seems like you have a lot to tell me."

After about half an hour, the couple finally arrived at the hotel. Throughout the journey home, Victoria remained gloomy, even though her crying had stopped. She kept her head down, her right hand still tightly gripping her husband’s. Visiting the site of the multiple accidents still left her terrified. She was terrified that her husband would truly leave her forever.

Matthias led his wife to the sofa. His right thumb caressed her still-wet eyelids. "Victoria, if there’s something you want to tell me, you can say it now. If you want to scold me for not answering your phone, I’ll accept any punishment you give me."

"I was actually very shocked when I heard the news of the accident. I was afraid you’d leave me forever. Especially when I saw the news earlier, there was a wrecked sedan that looked very similar to yours. At first, I thought it was you. That’s why I rushed to the scene without thinking twice."

"Honestly, you could live happily if I were truly dead. You could go back to dating Ansel and marry him. You wouldn’t have to be trapped in this marriage you don’t want. You can forget about me, a very annoying man like me."

Victoria shook her head quickly. "What if I don’t want to?"

Matthias’s eyes widened and his mouth dropped open. "You don’t want to marry Ansel? Weren’t you looking forward to your wedding? Now you have the chance, and you’re wasting it."

Victoria hit her husband’s arm a little forcefully. "Matthias, how cruel of you to think that accident was an opportunity!"

"I mean, it’s your chance to return to the man you love most. You don’t have to live with hatred. You don’t have to go to the trouble of criticizing me."

"Who said I want to go back to Ansel? I don’t want to go back to him. I have a man I love very much now."

"Victoria..."

Victoria stared intently at her beloved husband. She gripped his hand tightly. "Matthias, I love you so much. I’m telling you the truth."
