Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted
Chapter 94: True Confession

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: True Confession

Victoria confessed her love to Matthias for the first time, but she was still unused to it, which made her hands tremble even more. She continued to stare intently at her husband, trying to prove that she was serious about this marriage. She didn’t want their relationship to be torn apart again by a misunderstanding. The longer she delayed, the more Amber would become selfless and try to steal Matthias away from her.

Meanwhile, Matthias smiled happily upon hearing his beloved wife’s direct declaration of love. He embraced her lovingly.

"Me too. Victoria, I love you so much. I only dare to say I love you."

"I’m sorry for all this time I’ve been blaming you, cursing you, and insulting you. All this time, you’ve only been doing me good. You’ve done everything for me."

"I never blamed you. In fact, I’d rather you take out your frustrations on me. I deserve it. If I hadn’t forced you to marry me, you wouldn’t hate me."

"You’re wrong, Matthias. In fact, I’m grateful you forced me to marry you." Victoria briefly broke the hug and touched her husband’s cheek. "If I hadn’t married you and hadn’t met you, I wouldn’t be able to live happily."

"So, what about Ansel? Weren’t you enthusiastic about marrying him before? Do you love him?"

"Actually, I was confused at first as to why Ansel was in such a rush to propose to me. He and I had been dating for less than two years."

"Then what about me? We’ve only been dating for two months."

"I don’t know why, but my heart has wanted to accept you from the start. Every time I want to say I hate you, but on the other hand, my heart is reluctant to hate you."

"By the way, you’re acting like this not because we’ve been married for two years, right?"

Victoria shook her head slowly. "No. I love you not because I remember or am too fixated on my past. But since we started talking, I can feel your sincerity towards me. You’re always sensitive to what I want. You always protect me at all costs. You always prioritize me over everything, no matter whether you’re involved in trouble or not. What other man would treat me as sincerely as you do?"

Matthias’s heart swelled with joy as he heard his wife’s increasingly frank declaration of love. He hadn’t expected her to be so honest. He’d always heard that she hated him. Now, she loved him beyond measure. Now, he didn’t have to worry about any misunderstandings between them anymore.

"You’re the only woman who could make me happy from the start, despite our past. When I forced you to marry me, I had already decided to forget everything about my past and start over with you. At first, I was worried about whether I could maintain our relationship. Especially since you hated me to the point of treating me like a bacterium in your life."

"I realize my previous words were inappropriate. Therefore, now I want to make up for all your mistakes by starting over with you. I don’t want you to be hurt again because of me."

"Victoria..."

"Now I want to think of the marriage we’re going through as not just a contractual marriage, but a real marriage. It’s just that we haven’t had a wedding reception yet."

A beaming smile spread across his handsome face. Matthias kissed his beloved wife gently on the lips for a few seconds, then released her.

Now it was Victoria’s turn to be dissatisfied with her husband’s kiss, which was too brief for her. She kissed him again, this time gently, moving her lips as she slowly felt his chest. The pounding of her husband’s heart, palpable in her hand, made her heart pound. She hoped the kiss she gave her husband now would make him want to stay away from her. Moreover, their love journey wasn’t over yet; they still had many obstacles to overcome.

Satisfied with the long kiss, Victoria slowly parted her lips and embraced her beloved husband lovingly.

"Matthias, don’t ever leave me again. If you’re tired of me, you can tell me straight out."

"If I get bored, it’s better if I just disappear from your life."

"Anyway, if you suddenly disappear, I won’t forgive you." Victoria lifted her head right in front of her husband’s handsome face. "By the way, how did you survive the accident? It was quite serious."

"Actually, it’s more likely that God gave me another chance to hear the words of love from you. Of course, I didn’t want to waste this golden opportunity God had given me. When multiple accidents happened just as I was about to cross the bridge, I immediately slammed on the brakes. Luckily, I did it just in time. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to have fun with me now."

"But, are you really not hurt? You’re not faking it, are you?"

Matthias moved his lips closer to his wife’s face. "Should I pretend to be in pain to make you worry more?"

Victoria hit her husband’s arm repeatedly. "You’re so annoying, Matthias! This is why I don’t want to give you any leeway!"

"Because I’m naughty, that’s why you easily melt towards me."

"By the way, if the weather is bad, I won’t allow you to visit the project site. Especially since you said the site is in an unsafe condition. What if the building suddenly collapses?"

Matthias folded his arms. "Didn’t you say you had to think positively?"

"But, for some reason, since this incident, I’ve been increasingly afraid of losing you. I don’t want you to leave me too soon. If you were to leave my life, who would truly love me?"

"You’re right. Besides, I wouldn’t allow any man to marry you, including Ansel."

Victoria held out her pinky finger. "You have to promise not to divorce me suddenly. Especially since our contract is still valid."

"Victoria, am I the type of man who would easily betray you suddenly without reason?"
