Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted -
Chapter 92: My Feeling
Chapter 92: Chapter 92: My Feeling
Matthias had suspected a disaster like this would strike the project T&H Real Estate was developing. His premonitions had been warning him all night. He tried to put the ominous feeling behind him after hearing his wife’s advice, but he couldn’t shake it, and he had some trouble sleeping.
Hearing the bad news from the project site, his eyebrows immediately dropped. While it wasn’t a big deal, this project was crucial for Matthias. If the media learned of this bad news, he would be blamed and let down the T&H Group. That’s why he wanted to maintain his reputation amidst this chaotic situation.
Victoria was also saddened by the bad news. She hugged her husband and patted his back. "I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have given you so much hope last night."
Matthias shook his head slowly. "No. Don’t apologize to me." His hands slowly traced his wife’s curvy back. "It’s a good thing you’re by my side now."
"If I hadn’t accompanied you on your business trip, I’m sure you would have been feeling down for a few days. I wouldn’t have liked to see that."
For a moment, Matthias’s gaze fell on the window, which still showed the rain outside. He exhaled sharply. "Looks like I have to head to the project site now."
Victoria’s eyes widened. "What? You want to leave now?"
Matthias nodded as he released the hug. "I have to monitor the project site with the contractor team."
"I will come with you too."
"Don’t follow me."
"Why? Wasn’t your purpose in bringing me here to survey the project site?" Victoria narrowed her eyes on her husband. "Don’t tell me you think what we’re doing right now is a vacation!"
A mischievous smile spread across his handsome face. Matthias moved his lips closer to his wife’s. "I was going to take you on vacation, too."
"I thought you always use golden opportunities just to have fun!"
"We won’t be able to have fun for now. I’ll take care of the project first. I wonder how badly the storm damaged it." His right hand slowly stroked his wife’s head. "You’re free to use any of the facilities while you’re at the hotel."
"But, I still want to go with you." Victoria pouted her lips.
Matthias rolled his eyes. "We can’t have any fun now. Besides, the project situation isn’t conducive right now. You shouldn’t be going there."
"Then, what about you?"
Hearing his wife worry so much, Matthias smiled broadly. "I didn’t expect you to be so worried about me."
"Yes, of course. Because I am your wife."
"I’m still not used to hearing you like this. Haven’t you always disliked me? Even though you’ve been liking me lately."
"Because I don’t like seeing you hurt."
Matthias laughed softly, his lips landing deeply on his wife’s forehead. "I won’t get hurt. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely get home safely."
Victoria’s lips were still pouting. She held out her pinky finger. "You have to promise me!"
"If I don’t keep my promise, you can curse me and hate me forever." Matthias intertwined his little finger with his wife’s.
"Once you’re done inspecting the project site, you must return home immediately. If anything happens to you, you must contact me immediately."
"Even if I’m in a good or bad situation, the number one thing I do is always contact you."

Victoria finally found herself alone in the hotel room after her husband left her. Even though half an hour had passed, she was already starting to feel bored. For some reason, ever since her husband had pampered her, she couldn’t live without him. Although she used to hate him so much that she cursed him profusely, now she was reluctant to utter any curses. Even now, she was starting to worry about her husband’s well-being. What exactly was he doing now? Had he arrived at the project site safely?
To overcome her boredom and anxiety, Victoria decided to call her best friend. The only person she could talk to right now was Jennifer. Luckily, Jennifer was willing to make time to talk now.
"Victoria, how was your vacation today with your beloved husband?"
Victoria exhaled sharply. "I’ve actually been confused with myself lately."
"What else is there?"
"Jennifer, I think I’m really going crazy right now. How could I worry about Matthias when he’s going to the construction site alone?"
"Wait a minute! You’re not going with him right now? Aren’t you just following him for a survey?"
"That’s how it started. But it’d be a long story if I told you now. Matthias definitely forbade me from joining him because the project site was in an unsafe condition due to the storm."
Victoria could only hear her best friend’s mischievous laughter over the phone.
"Victoria, I want to make it clear to you now. You’re acting this way because you’ve accepted Matthias as your true husband. This proves you truly love him."
"I... really love him?"
"I told you before. You seem to have fallen in love with him. But you’re the one who doesn’t realize it. If you didn’t love him until now, you wouldn’t be upset when he was with another woman. And when he’s away, you won’t miss him."
"But, I admit I like him. How can I tell him?"
"I suggest you think it over carefully. Ask your heart whether it’s truly ready to accept Matthias completely or not."
Victoria nodded, clutching her chest, feeling her heart pounding as she imagined the sweet moment with her husband. "I think I’ll tell you what’s on my mind now. Jennifer, thank you for your advice."
After her conversation with Jennifer, her cheeks were still flushed from Jennifer’s suggestion about her unresolved romantic issues. Now she decided to confess her feelings to her beloved husband. While waiting for him to return to the hotel, she turned on the TV for a moment.
However, all the TV stations were now showing the traffic accident that occurred on a bridge in Yanmang City. Staring at the scene, Victoria’s eyes filled with tears.
