Yanzhi abruptly stopped "you!... can’t you shut up a bit? Did i blame you or scold you?" he impatiently said to the troublesome child who was trying hard to prove himself free of causing any troubles today. Actually Yanzhi found it funny but he just decided to tease the child, but when he saw tears pooling in the child’s eyes he stopped and no longer wanted to tease. Chang looking old and matured to outsiders was infact a child who would cry over small things and being teased too much.

"Sob, sob, master...! woo" the tears in Chang’s eyes couldn’t help but pour out when Yanzhi finally answered him, he looked to YanZhi really aggrieved and in need to be coaxed and comforted. Yue and Liu burst out laughing at Chang, they received a glared from Yanzhi which made them clasp their mouths with their hands.. but they still couldn’t contain their laughter and one could see their shoulders rising and falling.

"You stop crying... master was wrong to tease, don’t cry anymore." Yanzhi quickly coaxed. "Look master will give you these so stop crying!" Yanzhi took out about two fruits each as big as two fists showing them to Chang.

The three of them, their noses were suddenly clouded by an intoxicating fruity sweet smell coming from the fruits, their mouths became watery as they drooled staring at the fruits greedily with hungry eyes of wolves. Chang’s tears ceased forgetting about crying and feeling wronged, he quickly took the fruits from Yanzhi and hugged them to his chest protectively.

"Master what is that?" Yue asked as she and Liu stared at the fruits hugged against Chang’s bosom and drooling openly. Chang moved away from them feeling threatened by the two hungry wolves.

"Demonic beast’s fruit. It’s enjoyed by beasts like you and the scent of the fruit is irresistible to demon beasts" Yanzhi answered with a smile watching Chang protecting the fruits on his bosom like a hen protecting her chicks.

"Master Yue wants a fruit!"

"Master Liu wants a fruit!"

The two young girls said in unison enthusiastically and with expectations of receiving, Yanzhi had always been one to give them things when they ask, so this time too they expected the same.

But their three views came crushing down when they heard him ask "did you two also cry and need to be coaxed?" he had a serious tone and look while asking.

Yue: ....

Liu: .....

They were rendered speechless. It was now Chang’s turn to laugh at them and snickered.

"Ma-master!" they both called out anxiously seeing that Yanzhi was going to walk away.

Yanzhi turned to them and ask "what’s the matter? You two have something else to say?"

The two looked at each other and nodded as if having a tactical understanding. Their mood and expressions suddenly changed at a fast pace from normal to aggrieved and wronged. Tears begin to blurred their sights as the tears fell drop by drop, they began sniffling as tears poured out more like rain drops.

Yanzhi was stunned and dumbstruck looking at Yue’s cheeks which were now stained with tears and her eyes glassy and so was Liu’s. Liu had a veil covering her face leaving only her eyes so one could see clearly the tear stains on the veil she wore.

"You children! Good! Good! Now you have even resulted to this! Take it okay and stop crying!" he pointed at them and resigned taking out two more fruits from the space and gave them one each. But the two weren’t done yet seeing that he only gave them one each when Chang had two,

"Do that and I’ll have you practice your martial arts everyday non-stop without rest for a whole year. On second thought, master wants to how far you’ve gotten with your practices, you both let’s come and show me now" Yanzhi with a grin plastered on his face and a smile which didn’t reach his eyes said to them before they could put to work what they wanted to do.

The two stiffened. "He he he master~" they put away the fruits as they grab his shoulders and started to press and message carefully. "Master today there’s no time for that, and also you were just going to see that elder Fei and King Pingxi." Yue careful chose her words with caution. "Master, don’t forget mistress will be worried when he wakes without seeing you, so you should hurry back!" Liu added.

Yanzhi felt funny not knowing whether to cry or laugh, they both were coaxing him as if a child. "You, how do you know that he will be worried when he wakes up without seeing me? Are you him?" Yanzhi pretended to ask sternly as he began making his way again not intending to indulge in those naughty children.

"He he he " the two snickered and quickly followed behind along with Chang.

Old Fei walked hurriedly to YanZhi upon getting a glimpse of his approaching figure. Yanzhi stopped as old Fei came to stop in his path. Old Fei Knelt down on one knee and cupped his hands over his face.

"Lang Fei greets his excellency" he greeted with worship just like how ministers would greet the emperor. What he did now would be considered treason to the royal family if seen, old Fei being a retired commander of King Pingxi’s army, what he did now was swear allegiance to another person.

Yanzhi stared at him blankly without any impression of him. Old Fei raised up his head lightly to see YanZhi staring down at him blankly without saying anything. Old Fei become embarrassed thinking after this dramatic greeting, Yanzhi didn’t seem to be bothered.

"What are you doing?" Yanzhi asked seeing him not speaking.

Old Fei was flabbergasted, wasn’t what he was doing obvious to YanZhi, he thought. His actions clearly speaks of his intention so why does it seem like YanZhi couldn’t tell? Is it that Yanzhi really couldn’t tell that he was swearing his allegiance to him, or it was another thing? Old Fei couldn’t tell.

"I wish to swear loyalty to your excellency and serve under you" Old Fei said what it was with words still remaining in the same potions.

Yanzhi sized him up. "You speak honestly your thoughts. But right now isn’t the time for this, i will think about it and tell you whether i decided to accept your loyalty or not later. So get up." Yanzhi voiced out. He wasn’t that keen about accepting subordinates, so instead to deciding whether to accept or reject old Fei now, he decided to put aside that for now and not bother with a meaningless thing.

Old Fei nodded and stood back up on his feet, "this one understands" he said politely and respectfully showing no changes in his expression. But infact he was a little hurt on the inside, and Yanzhi could see and tell but all the same, what he deem meaningless was unnecessary. Yanzhi ignored Old Fei’s hurtful pride and went on his way.

When he got to the main house, he was informed by the servants that King Pingxi, Jinhua, doctor Shi and doctor Shi’s father were in the study. The servant had wanted to have Yanzhi waited in the hall for them, the servants knew of Yanzhi and Xiao Ling being extinguish guests of Jinhua but even so they couldn’t just barge in when the masters are discussing with others. But old Fei ignored their little thoughts and instead led Yanzhi to the study, Yanzhi cared not about small details and followed old Fei without a care. Old Fei push the door and walked into the study as if his bedroom not caring that he was barging in without the owner’s consents, Yanzhi and the three also walked in without care.

"Old man you’re finally here... Master Jun is also here too" King Pingxi called out seeing them.

"Jinhua greets his excellency"

"Dafu greets his excellency"

Both doctor Shi and Jinhua made their way to YanZhi and greeted with respect. The other person who would be doctor Shi’s father was baffled seeing how they were respectful towards such a young man like YanZhi, and even the prince and his son addressing Yanzhi in such a way full of respect and worship.

"By the way, i don’t see Master Ling?" Jinhua asked looking around.

"He’s resting" Yanzhi’s answer was simple. Jinhua nodded and inquired no more.

"Since you’re all here, we were discussing about the disturbances that occured earlier..." King Pingxi stated getting all their attentions to him.

"If it’s about that you need not worry, it was my neglectance that led to that.. well it matters not anymore since it over" Yanzhi cut him off saying. Both doctor Shi and father and Jinhua and father were dumbstruck by his nonchalant words.

"what disturbances? Something happened I didn’t know about?" Old Fei asked confused.

"Old Fei didn’t feel that strong aura, weren’t you here when it happened?" King Pingxi asked baffled, everyone in the house were affected so how come his friend was talking as if he wasn’t affected.

"I was in the courtyard of his excellency" old Fei said. The two father and sons turned to watch Yanzhi waiting for explantation, but Yanzhi shrugged feeling no need to explain himself.

Doctor Shi and Jinhua knowing how he was decided to forget about that and move on, whatever Yanzhi did that those in his courtyard weren’t affected was his secret to keep.

"Your excellency means the cause of the aura was you?" doctor Shi asked this rather.

"More or less" again with not explaining... the people were disheartened but none could complain, doctor Shi’s father was strongly against Yanzhi’s nonchalant behavior but seeing that the princes who were the masters of the house didn’t mind, he swallowed his complaints. It was just that Yanzhi’s nonchalant words and behavior makes people’s teeth itch!

"Well the cause of that aura had been found so let’s move on. Instead let’s talk about the treasure which Immortal Pei is turning places upside down searching for." Jinhua urged saving people’s poor hearts to be broken by Yanzhi’s nonchalant behavior.

"Right now the emperor called us two privately after the court section was over, it seems the treasure has been spotted on the mountain in north" King Pingxi informed. Doctor Shi’s father was yet shocked again hearing them openly discuss with strangers something which is confidential and even the ministers didn’t know about. Truthfully King Pingxi also didn’t want to discuss that with them, but his son just went ahead and brought the matter up. He didn’t want to believe it at first but now it was obvious his son’s treason, openly serving someone else who wasn’t the emperor!

"Treasure?" Yanzhi asked

"Yes, i don’t know much about it. But i heard that immortal Pei was throwing a ruckus because if it, most of his disciples have gone in search of this something about essence." King Pingxi informed.

A light flashed in the depths of Yanzhi’s eyes.

"Chang," he called.

"Chang understands"

Yanzhi didn’t have to explain, Chang and the rest could already understand his unspoken words.

"Liu go with him" the two saluted and left.

"Is your excellency going to search for it? Your excellency knows what the treasure is?" Jinhua asked.

"En! Might know, have to see to be sure" the people in the room exclaimed with excitements and enthusiastic. It would be good if they could get their hands on what treasure it was before immortal Pei could, judging from immortal Pei’s actions it must be something good.

After their discussions were over, Yanzhi asked that the courtyard beside the one he was currently residing in be spared for the people coming with Tan Fan and Bee. Jinhua ordered the servants to go clean that place. Before everyone went back to their various places, doctor Shi’s father who previous found Yanzhi to be arrogant and overbearing, no longer thought so. He might not know all that it was, so he stopped judging Yanzhi, with how respectful even King Pingxi was to YanZhi he could tell that there was more to YanZhi than meets the eye.
