"Change back" Yanzhi said lightly but his tone was laced with chillness. Xiao Ling walked to Jinhua who was shaking with fright and bewilderment, never in his life had he thought of seeing such thing. Xiao Ling squatted by his side "brother Jinhua.....are you okay?" he asked clumsily, Xiao Ling didn’t know what to say or how to comfort him because in his last life there was no such thing as comforting people in the face of monsters, they fought with their lives at stake. Xiao Ling was in a predicament, he was at loss and just decided to squat there leaving Jinhua to figure things out for himself as he was also slightly shocked to the unexpected situation. "But Master that tigress wants to harm you" Chang said to him mentally sounding wronged, he was excited that he didn’t notice the presence of the humans.

Yanzhi glanced at him lightly but the eerieness from it made their spines cold "Change back.... don’t make me repeat myself again" Yanzhi said with his voice sounding more cold, Yue and Liu stepped aside feeling the ghostly aura raising from Yanzhi, they were terrified and didn’t want to be included in the stupidity of Chang. Chang and Baihu changed back to their human forms as instructed leaving only the tigress who was still baring her teeths fiercely, Baihu felt troubled and looked at Yanzhi with a complicated mood. He knew that it was his mate who was going to be punished now and was being rude to their benefactor and master, so he just couldn’t bring himself to not follow Yanzhi’s words and go to help his mate.

Yanzhi was patiently observing him wanting to see the next action Baihu would take, from probing into Baihu’s soul he was able to tell that Baihu was in a complicated situation, but yet still Baihu stood his ground and obeyed Yanzhi’s words willingly. Since Yanzhi could feel and see the sincerity of Baihu who chose him (YZ) over his mate, then Yanzhi wouldn’t disgrace that kind of person and harm his mate. He didn’t have that much trust in Baihu but he had begin to trust him a little just like how the other disciples are gaining his trust little by little, Yanzhi didn’t have that kinda of blind trust he had come to have for Xiao Ling for them but he did trust them somehow. He turned his attention back to the tigress who was still fiercely baring her fangs at him, just a glance from him and she trembled and whimpered laying back down on her stomach obediently and honestly. Baihu watched nervously as Yanzhi took slow steady steps making his way to the tigress, Xiao Ling who felt that the atmosphere was murky around Yanzhi and the others turned to them.

He stood up and nodded to Yue and Liu before he walked away from Jinhua to YanZhi who was now squatting in front of the petrified looking tigress. The tigress felt something holding her down from moving when Yanzhi approached her making her looking like a seating duck waiting to be slaughtered. Xiao Ling felt that it would be understandable for Yanzhi to be angry looking at the messed up caves and crushed trees, Yanzhi’s sanctuary was in a bit of mess due to the fighting between Chang and the tigress and they exposed themselves to Jinhua and doctor Shi. But to Xiao Ling’s surprise Yanzhi was so calm like his usual self, the difference this time around was the very murky and chillness around him. "...Xiang gong...what are you going to do with her?" he asked with all his attention on Yanzhi, but he received no answer. Yanzhi had his index and middled fingers glued together and was positioned on the forehead of the tigress. "Xiang gong she’s the one Baihu said was his mate right? Are you..." "I have no intention to punish or harm her.." Yanzhi answered nonchalantly, he didn’t have to read Xiao Ling’s mind to know his thoughts.

"She forced to advance which made her qi to mess up her dantian and caused her to loose herself" he calmly explained, they both frowned. "Would she be alright?" Xiao Ling asked with worry, since he had considered Yanzhi’s disciples as his own he worry for them, and the tigress being the mate of Baihu meant she was also one of his own. "En. I’ll help her fix it now" Yanzhi said and closed his eyes concentrating his qi and guiding it into the tigress’s dantian. Seeing him in work Xiao Ling reduced his presence not wanting to disturb him, Yanzhi remained in the same position and so did the tigress. Feeling Yanzhi’s sharp qi in her dantian which was repairing her damaged dantian made her relaxed and let him have his way. After a while Yanzhi withdrew his hand and stood up, changes could be seen at a visible speed on the tigress.

Her white and black fur started to disappear leaving fair skin with fur clothes wrapped around her bosom and lower part shielding away her body parts which were not meant to be seen carelessly. Long white hair with brown pupil as she stared in dazed and curiously at Yanzhi and Xiao Ling as she laid knelt down in front of them. Seeing his mate in a human form Baihu wanted to come over to her but since his master still hasn’t yet given him the go ahead, he stood still honestly just staring focused at his mate with him excited. "Is everything good now?" Xiao Ling asked.

"En, it’s okay. I’ve repaired her dantian but for now she has to take it slow." Yanzhi replied back with an expressionless face. "Little wife would you like to give her a name?" he smiled and asked Xiao Ling. "Can I?" Xiao Ling asked a little skeptical. "Of course, my disciples are your disciples too. You have control of them just like i do" Yanzhi said with an affirmed tone, Xiao Ling felt warmth in his heart. "Mei Lin" he muttered and turned to YanZhi with a bright smile "how about Mei Lin? She’s beautiful as a jade, Xiang gong what do you think?" he asked with enthusiasm. "Mei Lin, sounds good. Little wife named her better than i would have" Yanzhi’s tranquil voice sounded making him blushed and excited.

Four people were seated crossed legs on a stone bed facing each other, a stone table with tea set separated them in twos as they sipped tea silently in an awkward and unrelaxed atmosphere. Yanzhi and Xiao Ling were seated together on one side sipping from the tea cup with ease and carefree mood, whilst doctor Shi and Jinhua were also seated on the other side facing them but they had fear of them in their eyes. Doctor Shi and Jinhua couldn’t bring themselves to relax at all looking like rabbits in tiger’s den. And on their sides where Chang and Baihu who were in horse stances. Mei Lin who wasn’t sure of what was going on and wasn’t yet used to her new form was with Yue and Liu who where helping and teaching her get by. "Doctor Shi how are you feeling?" Xiao Ling decided to pick up a conversation, whatever happened they had to talk about it and bring out a solution. Since YanZhi was the type who didn’t care about such things like having to explain or mundane things like keeping contacts, the talking fell on Xiao Ling’s shoulders. Xiao Ling too was the quiet type in his last life but having a partner like Yanzhi who didn’t like talking unless if it’s necessary made Xiao Ling put away his past cold and closed off personality and brought forth a new personality which suited his now temperament and living situation. But Xiao Ling didn’t know that Yanzhi had already decided on what to do, he was going to give them a chance whether he’d erase their memories of what they witness was entirely on them, so Yanzhi had a nonchalant and a carefree attitude about the situation. Hearing Xiao Ling’s voice both doctor Shi and Jinhua’s hands trembled, doctor Shi’s lips quivered as he tried opening his mouth to answer. Their minds were in a mess almost looking as if they’ve lost their nerves to think.

"A ....I ....br.....Master Ling i-i-" he couldn’t find his words. Xiao Ling had a headache seeing that, he couldn’t understand what the problem was. Wasn’t it just seeing spirit animals transform to human, and what if they were to see dungeon monsters wouldn’t they just die of fright. Xiao Ling sighed helplessly "doctor Shi just relax, nothing will happen to you okay. No one will harm you" he said in a relaxed tone trying to get them to relax too. They nodded but their hearts were still not relaxed at all. "Your excellency, are they animals who were enlightened and gained spiritual sense to cultivate turning into demonic beasts?" Jinhua managed to ask with his heart still pounding, Yanzhi paused his hand which was sending the tea cup to his lips. Jinhua’s heart raced more seeing YanZhi stooped his movements "Your excellency I’ve heard words about such beings in the capital" he quickly added, for a being who’s able to control so many demonic beasts under him Jinhua couldn’t bring himself to continue to address Yanzhi as brother. Jinhua couldn’t even begin to fathom Yanzhi’s strength and power. "Do you want to know?" Yanzhi questioned, Jinhua hurriedly cupped his hands and bowed "I dare not!" he said nervously. Seeing their petrified selves it made Yanzhi scoffed. ’They’re demonic beings. There’s a whole lots of them. Our dynasty could be wiped out if we provoke him, i pray no one ever provokes him’ he read from Jinhua’s thoughts. Just as this realm didn’t have many cultivators, they were not many demonic beasts. Beings like Yue and others who have been enlightened were more scarce than cultivators. Xiao Ling played with his tea cup as he listened quietly, he didn’t know much about the Jianghu world so he couldn’t offer any words but listen. "They’re indeed demonic beasts" Yanzhi talked in a slowed pace with a bored tone, Jinhua and doctor Shi gulped.
