Yanzhi said as he glanced at them with serious demeanor with his eyes cold "nothing will happen to you if you don’t try to harm us." Doctor Shi and Jinhua shivered trembling hearing the threat in his tone, Xiao Ling just listen without saying anything but he was in support of Yanzhi’s words to them. "Your excellency we dare not, we dare not. We would never tell a soul about what we saw here" Jinhua pleaded, doctor Shi was on the verge of break down. He knew a few things about the Jianghu world but he didn’t know to this extent that there were such terrifying things in the world. Yanzhi chuckled lightly "it’s not that you won’t tell, it’s juts that you couldn’t even if you wanted to since i could erase the memory of what you saw" he said lightly and nonchalantly. All three people around him turned their attentions in shock, even his disciples where also in shock of his words which made them brought their attentions more on Yanzhi.

"Xiang gong is what you’re saying true?" Xiao Ling asked with a skeptical look, Yanzhi turned to him knowing that he couldn’t go on not letting Xiao Ling know about him being able to probe into the souls of people. "En, it’s one of the techniques i created. It’s called the soul probing technique, i can look into a person’s soul. I could erase a person’s memories and tell when a person’s is lying or not as well as know a person’s thoughts" he calmly explained and all three people had bewildered looks, especially Xiao Ling who at that moment doubt soon took over his heart doubting whether he could trust Yanzhi or not. "You can trust me, i have no intention of harming you nor have I ever had such intentions in the first place" the dagger Yanzhi crafted for him was taken out of his inventory landing on Yanzhi’s neck after hearing Yanzhi’s words, Yanzhi read his mind answering to his thoughts which made him feel threatened.

His heart was in a dilemma as he didn’t want to doubt Yanzhi at that moment yet with such a terrifying skill he couldn’t help but bring himself to doubt Yanzhi asking himself whether he had ever had his memories erased by Yanzhi. Xiao Ling’s thoughts terrified himself, at that moment he couldn’t help but question himself about what was true and what was a lie because with such a skill to probe into the soul and heart, it could also create illusions he thought. Both doctor Shi and Jinhua gasped seeing such turn of events, ghostly aura surrounding Xiao Ling making him looked terrifying than what they had witnessed, they broke in cold sweat. "Master!" Chang and Baihu shouted getting up from the horse stance, Liu seeing this made an attempt to step forward but was held back by Yue, she looked at Yue with a confused and angry look but Yue just shook her head to her. Liu stood her ground but her heart was in a mess, Yue having witness such a situation before knew that it was better for their master and mistress to resolve their problems.

And knowing the strength of Xiao Ling she knew better not to get involved so she stopped Liu who didn’t know yet how powerful their mistress was. "Have....you ever used it on me?" Xiao Ling asked with doubts, Yanzhi stared straight into his eyes with seriousness. "Yes" he answered swiftly, Xiao Ling’s heart tightened beating fiercely "What?!" he asked in angered putting more strength on the dagger.

The dagger will turn blunt if used on its creator, it hates betrayals just like it’s master, the dagger speaks of the love between the constellation snake god and the Shadow monarch.]

"Tsk" Xiao Ling looked pissed as the system’s notification sounded with a bunch of messages. "What useless weapon" he complained which made Yanzhi chuckled lightly. Yanzhi knew that Xiao Ling didn’t have it in his heart to really attack him, he didn’t have to read into Xiao Ling’s mind to know since both of them knew that the dagger he crafted for Xiao Ling had a mind of its own and wouldn’t cause any damage to him. But yet still it was the same dagger Xiao Ling chose to attack him with, wasn’t that informing Yanzhi that ’I Xiao Ling don’t want to attack Xiang gong’. "Little wife is as impatient as ever not giving me a chance to explain and defend myself, and yet little wife looks like he wanted to attack me but choose a weapon which little wife knows wouldn’t harm me" Yanzhi still had the nerves to tease in such situation, Xiao Ling’s face turned red in anger and flustered "puff" visible smoke could be seen raising up from from his head.

Doctor Shi and Jinhua couldn’t understand the situation, at one moment there was cold air raising around them and the next moment they started to flirt, it made the two terrified rabbits confused and doubting their lives. Yanzhi slowly push away the dagger from his neck with his finger, Xiao Ling took it back and sent it back into the inventory. He really wanted to listen to Yanzhi’s explanation because he didn’t have it in his heart to doubt Yanzhi. "I’m listening" he said expressionlessly. "I only used it on you on that night you took over his body." he informed with his eyes solely focused on Xiao Ling. He had brought up a barrier around the both of them blocking in their voices with the only of them listening and talking. Jinhua and doctor Shi looked at their moving lips stunned not hearing a word from what they were saying, they only had one thought which was that Yanzhi or Xiao Ling must’ve done something which is why they couldn’t hear their words. They started having doubts of both Yanzhi and Xiao Ling’s identities. "Was that the only time?" Xiao Ling asked. "En, i didn’t look into your memories i only looked into the change of the soul and a few things which weren’t personal. I wanted little wife to tell me yourself and you did, believe me i have never erased or tempered with your memories neither have I ever listened to your thoughts" Yanzhi said to him truthfully and honestly. "I believe you, that’s why I will ask Xiang gong to never use it on me" Xiao Ling said to him seriously and he nodded. "You have my words little wife, i give you my words as a heavenly demonic being and as a god that I would never use that or any technique like it on you. The promise of a god is heavy which can not be taken lightly, if i go back on my words I’ll receive tribulation from the heavens" he said honestly. Getting Yanzhi’s words and promise Xiao Ling decided to leave it as that, the one person whom he had come to trust after being betrayed by his closest friend and making his mind not to trust again, Xiao Ling didn’t want to loose Yanzhi.

And in their relationship now trust was the most important and everything. "What about them, what would you do with them?" he changed the topic and asked. "Let them be for now, they have no bad thoughts or intention." Yanzhi stated and he nodded, Yanzhi took down the barrier. "Doctor Shi and brother Qing, for now I’ll let you keep your memories of today’s events but dare to think about bringing us harm and I’ll wipe you out from existence." Yanzhi calmly informed them, they nodded like lizards. "Your excellency we wouldn’t dare!" "Master Jun wouldn’t even think such thoughts" they both replied. "You don’t have to address me like that just continue to treat me the way you were at first" Yanzhi said and gulped down his tea. "How dare us!" Jinhua answered. Jinhua who knew more about the Jianghu world could only follow the laws and that was the weak bowed to the strong and also such an existence like YanZhi was far more powerful than the emperor so how could he act in a disrespectful way towards Yanzhi. Since finding out that Yanzhi was a cultivator things had already started to change between them but now knowing that Yanzhi was much more powerful than they could ever imagine. Even doctor Shi has come to terms in the change between them, he also didn’t have the courage to act reckless like he used to with Yanzhi.

"Your excellency if i may ask..." "Don’t ask or stick your nose to where it doesn’t belong. Don’t ask if you’re not told" Yanzhi suddenly threatened and warned. Jinhua cupped and bowed "forgive my imprudence, your excellency" he pleaded. He had wanted to ask about the identity of both Yanzhi and Xiao Ling, because after everything they witnessed there was no way they’ll think of YanZhi and Xiao Ling as normal people. One looked docile, weak and easy to bully and the other look nonchalant and uncaring with a face of a weak official. But the truth was terrifying, they both were people not mess with. "Baihu! Chang! For getting up without master telling you to, you’ll both train horse stances for two days straight with rest!" Yanzhi turned his attention to them who were standing very close to his side, their faces widened in horror with lots of complains but they still obeyed and went back to their positions without a word. "Liu you’ll be responsible for guiding doctor Shi and Qing in cultivating..." Yanzhi order and Liu walked over to them.

"You said you wanted to learn how to manifest internal energy right, Liu will guide you." he simply stated. They came with that intention and excitements but after witnessing a lot of things the excitements had long died, remembering his naive words of owing Yanzhi a favor Jinhua felt like a fool who was seeking his death unknowingly. They stood up and followed along with Liu who took them away. After settling with irrelevant things he turned his attention back to his puffed up wife. "Little wife shall we also practice the technique i wanted to teach you?" Xiao Ling’s mood suddenly changed and he beamed brightly after YanZhi’s words. "En!" he answered with enthusiasm making YanZhi chuckled.
