Chapter 680: Chapter 680: Stealing the Ship and Taking the People
Inside the control room, the three Wandering Sea Ghosts were frolicking and laughing, completely at ease, because they felt this was their domain. They, having the upper hand, had no worry and thus were relaxed.
However, when the door to the control room was kicked open, the three Wandering Sea Ghosts were stunned. They gaped at Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Lisa who walked in.
One of the Wandering Sea Ghosts was the first to recover and loudly accused, "Lisa, you’ve conspired with outsiders. You’re a traitor!"
"You were the ones who first rebelled. I was forced to this point by you guys." Just as Lisa finished speaking, Su Hui made her move, "Quit talking. We’re here to beat you guys."
The three Wandering Sea Ghosts couldn’t believe it. How could a normal human dare to challenge three of them? It was madness.
However, as soon as they battled, the three Wandering Sea Ghosts realized something was wrong. This woman named Su Hui was formidable. Even when fighting against three, she had the upper hand.
Looking at Su Hui’s impressive performance, Lisa couldn’t help but exhale a sigh, "Thank goodness these three Wandering Sea Ghosts don’t have enough Qi. Otherwise, in terms of strength and speed, they would’ve surpassed Su Hui. We’re really lucky."
"Indeed, otherwise our plan would’ve been impossible to execute smoothly." Gu Fan commented while looking quite excited. Seeing one of the Wandering Sea Ghosts being beaten down, he went over and tied him up with a rope.
Yes, the Wandering Sea Ghosts were tough to knock down, they could stand up over and over again. But now, they only had the strength of a regular person. They had no way to struggle free of the ropes, thus they couldn’t stand up and become a threat anymore.
"Alright, one down." Gu Fan knocked the Ghost’s head and then sat on him with the air of someone watching a good drama unfold.
Lisa was anxious, "What are you so calm for? Hurry up and help. Time is of the essence, buddy."
"No rush, we have to give them a chance to call for help, right?" Gu Fan’s words abruptly awakened Lisa.
By this time, Su Hui had already knocked down the second Wandering Sea Ghost. Seeing the situation going south, the third one quickly picked up a headset and began shouting, evidently calling for backup.
"Alright, now is the time." Gu Fan and Lisa moved together, coordinating with Su Hui and managed to capture the other two Wandering Sea Ghosts, rendering them defenceless.
Lisa touched several buttons on the control panel and skillfully navigated the island to rise to the sea surface. Gu Fan and Su Hui both felt the location rising, elated beyond measure.
"Alright, let’s get going." Gu Fan had Lisa lead the way, and the three left the control room, heading towards the docking place of the large wooden ship.
This was Gu Fan’s plan: a feigned attack on the control room, but the main objective is the siege of the ship.
According to Lisa, the docked ship would definitely be heavily guarded. The Wandering Sea Ghosts were already down several members, and causing a further divide in their forces was the best strategy.
The Wandering Sea Ghosts were divided into three groups: the first group guarded the control room, the second group watched the ship, and the third group was searching for Gu Fan and his comrades.
The third group, while dealing with Gu Fan, ran out of Qi and had to return to recharge. Gu Fan took this opportunity to launch a feint against the control room that the first group was guarding.
Gu Fan noticed, the control room and the docking location were far apart. By capturing the control room, they forced the third group of Wandering Sea Ghosts who were chasing them to come here. Now it was too late to aid the docked ship.
Gu Fan’s plan was good, and his luck was not bad either. On the way to the docked ship, they encountered three more Wandering Sea Ghosts.
The second group who were guarding the ship got the news of the control room being attacked and immediately dispatched a trio for backup, which resulted in them bumping into Gu Fan.
"You three are truly a gift." Gu Fan was thrilled. Although the groups were equal in numbers, their combat power was much different. It didn’t take long to take them down.
Under Gu Fan’s questioning, it turned out that there were eight Wandering Sea Ghosts in the second group guarding the ship. When they heard there was trouble in the control room, they sent out three. That meant there were still five Wandering Sea Ghosts guarding the ship.
If the Wandering Sea Ghosts were all in this condition, then seizing the ship wouldn’t be a problem. Su Hui was very confident.
Under Lisa’s lead, the trio charged over after a while. As soon as they entered a cabin, Su Hui couldn’t wait to greet the Wandering Sea Ghosts with a flying kick.
However, the Wandering Sea Ghosts left behind weren’t weak. A muscular Wandering Sea Ghost took Su Hui’s kick without flinching and retaliated with a heavy punch of his own.
"You’re kidding!" Su Hui attempted to block with her arms. Although she managed to block, she was still sent flying.
Gu Fan was battling against two Wandering Sea Ghosts and found their strength too overpowering. Despite a fierce attack, Gu Fan was hit by a punch, causing him excruciating pain.
Lisa didn’t have much Qi left within her, had weak strength, and couldn’t fight them off.
"Not possible!" It was only then that Gu Fan realized that the situation was not as simple as he had initially thought. The three that the Wandering Sea Ghosts sent out were the weakest while the five left behind were the strongest.
"So what if they are strong? I’ll fight anyway." Su Hui wiped her mouth and got up, attacking again. This time, she didn’t confront them directly. Instead, she revealed her fighting skills and broke one of the Wandering Sea Ghosts’ arm and then his leg, neatly and swiftly.
Then, Su Hui went on to deal with the other two Wandering Sea Ghosts, leaving Lisa to start the ship.
"Alright, just hold on." Lisa immediately ran to the side, opened the control panel, pushed some buttons, and suddenly the other side of the cabin opened up, revealing a passage.
Then, Lisa ran towards the ship, swiftly boarded, and by this time, Su Hui had eliminated the two Wandering Sea Ghosts. Though she was out of breath from exhaustion, these opponents weren’t ordinary humans after all.
Suddenly, a roar echoed through the air. It was the sound of the enraged Wandering Sea Ghosts. They had realized that Gu Fan’s group was creating a diversion, and they all started rushing in their direction.
"Quick, get on the ship!" Su Hui shouted urgently, and Gu Fan also pushed off his opponent. Both hurried towards the ship.
Any Wandering Sea Ghost that could stand after falling, got up. The reinforcements had also arrived, and together, they started to chase.
"Lisa, please hurry." Gu Fan and Su Hui had just boarded the ship when several Wandering Sea Ghosts followed close behind, and the ship was just showing signs of starting.
At first, Gu Fan and Su Hui’s martial skills could hold them off, but as more and more Wandering Sea Ghosts boarded the ship, Gu Fan and Su Hui were being overwhelmed. Unable to counterattack, they could only retreat into the cabin of the ship.
"Don’t let them escape!" The Wandering Sea Ghosts shouted and started to chase fiercely.
Meanwhile, the ship headed towards the passage. The ship’s thrusters received increasing power until it finally pushed the ship through the passage and ejected from the island, straight into the sea.
Even with the intense ejection, the boat was still steady. However, Gu Fan didn’t have time to marvel at how advanced the ancient Super Civilization technology was.
The Wandering Sea Ghosts were unfazed and even sneered repeatedly, "Now you’re even more trapped. You’re finished."
