Hai felt a pang of pain in his heart. He laughed cynically to himself and then looked at Gu Fan with a somewhat pointed look, as if to question, "Gu Fan, you intentionally brought my brother here to reveal my other identity, didn’t you?"

Gu Fan immediately explained, "Don’t get me wrong. Last time when we were dealing with Shennv Xuanhui to save Lin Xi, you were unconscious, and that’s when Jie saw your true face."

"After I retired, I changed jobs and worked as a bodyguard. Everything was going well until a job took us overseas. Our client had a dispute with a local gang. Only hearing these words did Jie understand that back then almost everyone sided with the gang, whether it was Hai’s friends, his client, or strangers. Hai was literally caught between a rock and a hard place.
