Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared -
Chapter 480
Chapter 480: 480
"Come on, why are you still standing there like fools? Your time is running out." Qian Xue wore a confident smile, holding the upper hand, her eyes flashing defiantly.
Seeing more than a dozen people around him still in a daze, Gu Fan figured something must’ve gone wrong on the other side. Worriedly noticing Lin Xi’s agonizing expression amidst the flowers, he couldn’t hold back any longer and rushed forward.
One of the guys, seeing Gu Fan advancing, hurled a punch at him. Boosted by Qian Ying’s control, his strength amplified several-fold.
However, Gu Fan was anything but a fool. While sprinting, he veered slightly, effectively sidestepping the man’s punch. Capitalizing on the momentum, he clamped the man’s head in his arm and slammed him down.
Breaking through the first line of defenders, Gu Fan now faced two more opponents with smirks saying he wouldn’t get past them.
"Get out of my way!" Gu Fan didn’t bother with formalities. He lunged towards one of them, grasped his arm, and went into a sliding tackle. He squeezed past the man, knocking him over in the process.
In a similar fashion, Gu Fan broke through the enemy’s defense. Only Qian Xue now stood in his path. Taken aback by his agile maneuvers, she quickly regained her composure, and commented, "Impressive how you got this far. But you still can’t do anything."
With a mere wave, Qian Xue immobilized Gu Fan with a spell, rendering his impressive skills useless.
Though he initially struggled, Gu Fan’s eyes were devoid of panic. He had worked out a plan and yelled, "Lu Yi, unleash the secret weapon!"
"Roger that!" Lu Yi opened the sack he was holding and proceeded to pour out its contents.
"A secret weapon? What secret weapon can you guys possibly have?" Qian Xue sneered, completely underestimating them. That is, until she saw the horde of rats being poured from the bag by Lu Yi, her eyes widened in terror.
"You’re not serious! That’s so dirty!" Qian Xue, mortified at the sight of the rodents, started to jump around in a panic. In the ensuing chaos, her spell on Gu Fan was disrupted, restoring his mobility.
However, no sooner had Gu Fan regained motion than he was sent flying into a wall by a solid punch from an enemy combatant.
Despite the temporary distraction with the rats, there were still more than a dozen stronger men controlled by Qian Ying, each one with enough strength to knock out Gu Fan.
"Damn, that hurts." Gu Fan was knocked disoriented, struggling to stand. If he were to endure another punch...
They were outnumbered. Even the highly skilled Su Hui could barely handle two opponents, let alone Lu Yi, who found it difficult to approach anyone. They were at a distinct disadvantage.
One of the men, under Qian Ying’s control, mocked Gu Fan, who was struggling to stay on his knees, "You’re quite obstinate. But it’s useless. No matter how hard you try, you can’t save your second elder sister. You might as well give up."
"Hell no!" Gu Fan fought to stand up but was quickly stomped down again, followed by another taunt: "You refuse to give up. But what can you do?"
"Gu Fan!" Su Hui cried out in panic. She was trapped, surrounded by four attackers. A blow to her shoulder sent shockwaves of pain through her body. Her arm was so sore she couldn’t lift it. They were hopelessly outmatched.
It seemed like they needed either Gu Ling to somehow defeat Qian Ying, or a strong reinforcement, or a miracle, any of them would do.
Suddenly, a loud crash was heard as a wall was blown apart. Every head turned towards the commotion just in time to see a muscular figure striding through the dust. His eyes radiated extraordinary resolve.
"Sorry, I’m late." Finally, Zhuo Hang threw his hat in the ring, radiating an aura of formidable strength.
Upon seeing Zhuo Hang, hope washed over everyone. The fighting spirit within Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Lu Yi reignited, even though Su Hui was still fighting off her attackers.
Seeing Su Hui in a tough spot, Zhuo Hang huffed, then charged forward, shouting, "All of you, out of my way!"
"Who are you? You’re asking for trouble!" One of Qian Ying’s men charged at him, utterly disregarding his intimidating presence.
Zhuo Hang was a formidable figure, immortal and immensely strong. He wasn’t bothered in the least by the punch and retaliated with equal force. The man being controlled by Qian Ying was promptly knocked off his feet.
"This guy’s strength..." Qian Ying was taken aback but managed to quickly regain her composure. She ordered several of her men to attack simultaneously.
However, Zhuo Hang was extraordinary. Not only was he strong, but he also possessed remarkable fighting skills. He nimbly weaved through the attackers, accurately identifying and exploiting their weaknesses.
Zhuo Hang’s arrival breathed new life into the struggling Gu Fan, Lu Yi, and Su Hui, particularly Su Hui, who was struggling with a bleeding mouth and an injured shoulder, sitting there intently watching Zhuo Hang, silently cheering for him, hoping against hope that he would win.
Initially, Zhuo Hang was able to hold his own, knocking down several opponents. However, he soon noticed something strange: the men he had knocked down were swiftly getting back on their feet, unfazed by fear or pain, solely focused on their orders to attack him relentlessly.
Quickly, Su Hui shouted a warning: "Zhuo Hang, these people are innocent! They’re just being controlled. Don’t kill them!"
"Well..." Zhuo Hang was in a quandary. He couldn’t go all out against these tough opponents, yet he couldn’t kill them either.
Qian Ying let out a cold laugh: "Indeed. You can’t kill them. But I can."
Under the control of Qian Ying, eight men attacked Zhuo Hang in unison, moving as one, not giving Zhuo Hang any chance to isolate and deal with them individually. The eight men stepped in sync, punching and kicking and charging all in a coordinated manner.
Zhuo Hang tried to use his superior strength to fight them off but soon found himself overwhelmed by continuous attacks. He staggered backward, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
"Damn you, woman, just wait until I get my hands on you." Zhuo Hang’s anger erupted into a berserk charge, his demeanor resembling a rampaging truck.
Qian Ying, in response, formed a five-man wall and met his charge head-on. Five against one, the collision was brutal.
However, one man’s strength couldn’t possibly compete against that of five. Zhuo Hang was once again sent flying, crashing through a wall. His body was wrought with pain and he hadn’t anticipated the followers of Shennv Xuanhui to be that formidable.
Nonetheless, Zhuo Hang was immortal. He wouldn’t go down that easily. He quickly returned to the battlefield, wiped the blood off his mouth, and his gaze became even more determined.
