Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 481: A Slim Chance

Chapter 481: Chapter 481: A Slim Chance

"No matter how skilled you are, can you really defeat all of us by yourself?" Under Qian Ying’s control, five individuals rushed towards Zhuo Hang all at once, their flurry of punches and kicks relentless, leaving Zhuo Hang incapable of retaliating.

"Damn it, get lost!" Enduring several of the attacks, Zhuo Hang launched his own offensive, each punch sending one attacker flying. By relying on his overpowering strength, he managed to knock all five back one by one.

However, Qian Ying didn’t mind at all, she manipulated the others to attack again, showing no sign of needing to rest.

Zhuo Hang could feel the pressure, inhales deeply, and then confronts the challenge head-on. Gritting his teeth, he initially remains defensive, enduring the vicious assault. When he sees an opportunity, he delivers a powerful blow, knocking another enemy flying.

But the enemies were simply too numerous. Two individuals simultaneously kicked Zhuo Hang, sending him flying backward.

Upon seeing Zhuo Hang struggle, Su Hui and Gu Fan couldn’t help but feel overcome by exhaustion. If they couldn’t defeat Qian Ying soon, they knew that all of them would be annihilated on this spot.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Jie had suffered a severe blow. The protector was about to deliver another kick to finish him off.

At that critical moment, Hai lunged forward, using his own body to shield Jie. Hai prepared to bear the brunt of the kick.

"Impressive, you really are loyal. Well, then, I’ll grant you your wish." The protector showed no mercy, his foot stomping down hard on Hai’s body, followed by another kick.

Hai felt as though his bones might break under the weight. It was unbearably painful, but he didn’t avoid it. Because if he dodged, Jie would undoubtedly be the one to bear the brunt.

"Let’s see who can stop me this time." Qian Ying was completely confident; the two groups she controlled were performing excellently on the battlefield. The balance of victory began to tip in her favor as she could sense that they could only last a little longer.

Most of Hai’s subordinates had been defeated, with the remaining few only futilely fighting back. Several had even been frightened off. Facing these unnatural individuals, their courage had completely collapsed.

Realizing the severity of the situation, Qin Jia was on edge: "We can’t hold much longer. Du Jun and the others have fallen. If we don’t find a solution soon, it really will be too late."

Gu Ling took a deep breath, then closed her eyes to focus. She felt the wind and the cries of battle, even detecting the faintest traces of breath. It was as if she could see every movement on the battlefield, who had fallen, who was still fighting, who was retreating, and who was resisting.

Some were pursuing, some were fleeing; everyone on the battlefield was moving differently. The scene was chaotic; there was no opportunity to spare.

Nevertheless, Gu Ling didn’t give up; she continued to sense everything. She could feel everyone’s movements; every individual’s steps, whether they were advancing or retreating, moving left or right; she could even roughly predict their next course of action.

Then, in an instant, the movements of the crowd shifted to the sides, revealing a path leading straight to Qian Ying.

"Now, this is the path." Gu Ling made an instant decision, directing her drone to dash along this path. And at its highest speed—had it been even slightly slower, this path would close again.

The drone dove from the sky into the battlefield and broke through the rare opening, ignoring those still in combat on either side.

A protector spotted the drone and immediately rushed over, but Gu Ling had already sensed this. She controlled the drone to ascend slightly, easily evading the protector and continuing onward.

They were getting closer. The drone evaded another guardian’s interception and finally entered the pavilion where only Qian Ying remained.

"Don’t even think about disrupting my plans again." Another Protector arrived just in time, standing in front of Qian Ying. He prepared to slash the approaching drone with his knife.

Although Gu Ling had anticipated that someone would try to stop him, given the current circumstances, she didn’t have many options. Gu Ling could only direct the drone to bravely charge forward.

"I won’t give you a fourth chance, don’t even think about it!" As the protector prepared to strike the drone with his knife, a shout rang out from the side: "Get out of the way, don’t interfere."

Du Jun threw himself at the protector, causing both of them to crash to the ground, thus clearing the way for the drone.

At this moment, all Gu Ling saw before her was Qian Ying.

"Alright, now’s the time!" Gu Ling controlled the drone, aimed it straight at Qian Ying’s head, and went full throttle to crash into her.

"Ah!" Qian Ying shrieked as the drone’s collision jolted her awake. Touching her head, she quickly made her escape.

As Qian Ying woke up, the controlled protectors became lucid as well. They looked around blankly, unsure of what had happened or why they were here.

Du Jun, gritting his teeth in pain, slowly stood up. Watching Qian Ying’s retreating figure, he felt an immense sense of regret. This detestable woman had slipped away, and everyone was injured and unable to give chase.

The crisis was over. Hai lay on the ground, gasping for air. In order to protect Jie, he had sustained severe injuries. His consciousness was becoming more and more blurred until finally, he collapsed into unconsciousness.

Jie, suppressing his pain, got up. He looked at the unconscious individual next to him— the tall figure and the sturdy build were incredibly similar to his older brother, Hai.

"Hey, are you alright, wake up." After several attempts, Jie failed to rouse the other party. Out of curiosity, Jie removed the mask from the other man’s face. Upon seeing the face beneath the mask, Jie was stunned; he had not expected to find that it was his older brother, Hai.

Everything suddenly made sense. It explained why this man risked his life in Qianye Mausoleum to save Jie, and why, during the avalanche on Yuxueyun Mountain, he chose to give up his own escape route for the sake of Hai.

"Brother, it really is you... but how can that be?" Jie couldn’t piece it all together. He had been fighting this mysterious force for so long, not realizing he was actually fighting against his own brother, Hai.

"Fate really is a cruel jest." Jie laughed sarcastically and then put the mask back on Hai, sparing them from the awkwardness of recognizing each other in such circumstances.

Looking around, Jie noticed that nearly everyone else had either fallen or was looking bewildered. No one noticed his actions.

Regarding his companions, Du Jun was lying on the ground, barely able to stare up at the sky. Xu Haowen had fainted, and Gu Ling and Qin Jia weren’t here. After considering these details, Jie felt that there was nothing to worry about. He didn’t want his allies to learn about Hai’s secret.

However, if Jie found out that Gu Fan, Lu Yi, and Su Hui had known about Hai’s identity for a while and had been helping Hai keep it a secret, who knows what he would think.

Regardless, everything was finally sorted out. Jie started to worry about the others: "Gu Fan, Lu Yi, and Sister Su, I’ve gotten things handled on my end. You guys must hang in there too!"
