Qin Jia, Ning Qi, and Leng Le, although three of them, being women, were already frightened out of their wits. How could they possibly be able to deal with the monstrous beasts together? It was Du Jun and Lu Yi who resolved the problem.

Gu Fan showed dramatic improvement in his skills and could take down a monstrous beast by himself. However, the issue was that these beasts were so hard to kill. Even when knocked down, they could still stand up. What was worse, more growls sounded from the darkness.

"Are you kidding me? We seem to be surrounded." Lu Yi stepped back as he spoke, and everyone else did the same.

Lin Xi was their biggest reliance. She started chanting her mantra, and she began to levitate. At the same time, with a wave of her hands, the beaten-down monstrous beasts were also lifted into the air.

Gu Fan held back the beast as he kept stepping back. The beast was so strong that he could hardly resist it. And everyone else was busy dealing with their own beasts, none could spare a hand to help.

Moving any further backward would mean colliding with the protective barrier. Gu Fan decided to risk it. He pivoted, spun his body, and swiveled the beast around. They swapped their positions on the spot.

The result was a loss of balance for both the monstrous beast and Gu Fan. They both fell towards the protective barrier.

"No good!" Gu Fan looked in horror as the beast touched the protective barrier and turned into charcoal.

But the unexpected happened. Gu Fan managed to pass through the protective barrier unharmed. He couldn’t believe he was still alive.

Lin Xi observed this and furrowed her brows. She understood something and then pointed one hand at Lu Yi and the other at a monstrous beast, lifting both into the air.

Lin Xi clapped her hands together, causing Lu Yi to fly over from this side and the beast from that side. The two of them collided mid-air.

"What the hell, Lin Xi, what are you doing?" Lu Yi was now practically body-to-body with the monstrous beast, and he was very scared.

Lin Xi didn’t answer. Instead, she pushed with one hand, making the collided Lu Yi and the beast fly towards the protective barrier. The beast touched the barrier first and turned into charcoal, while Lu Yi, like Gu Fan, passed through safely.
