"Gu Fan, can I trust you?" Ning Qi looked at Gu Fan with a very hopeful expression, her eyes filled with deep affection.

"Do you even have to ask? We had an honest conversation when we were stargazing that day, I think we’ve already reached a consensus." Gu Fan answered cryptically. His gaze towards Ning Qi was far from ordinary, making Hu Bo feel quite uncomfortable.

Ning Qi nodded: "Fine, Gu Fan, I trust you, so I’m willing to share my secret with you."

"That’s great, I love sharing secrets, it helps to bring two people closer." Gu Fan’s prattling about relationship left and right actually angered Hu Bo, who couldn’t do anything about it, much to his frustration.

Hu Bo felt he couldn’t trust Gu Fan, but Ning Qi believed she could convince Gu Fan: "There’s quite a lot of treasure here, it’s more than enough for the three of us. The three of them arrived at the entrance to the secret tunnel. Gu Fan saw blood stains on the snow and some unburied limbs, which left him somewhat concerned.

Regarding this, Ning Qi explained: "They wanted to kill us and keep the treasure for themselves. Hu Bo had no choice, we were defending ourselves."

Gu Fan just gave a nod, his heart pounding, thinking that indeed, people die for money and birds die for food.

Ning Qi added: "Don’t worry, Gu Fan. As long as you don’t have any bad ideas, we won’t harm you. If we wanted to harm you, we would’ve done it long ago, right?"

"Yeah, why would I have any bad ideas?" Gu Fan accepted Ning Qi’s statement, smiling at her while showing an appreciative look.

A cold snort interrupted Gu Fan and Ning Qi’s affectionate gaze. Hu Bo casually said: "Since you, Gu Fan, want to join us and share the treasure, don’t just sit back and do nothing. Help bury these two."

"No problem, happy to help." Gu Fan had to put on a cooperative front, cursing in his mind. That asshole Lu Yi said he was going to take a short break, but now he’s nowhere to be found, otherwise, it wouldn’t have come to this.

Gu Fan was now in a passive position, feeling the pressure of two guns behind him. He had no choice but to obey, hoping Ning Qi and Hu Bo wouldn’t suddenly go crazy and open fire.

When Gu Fan followed Ning Qi into the secret chamber and saw all the gold, silver and jewels, he admittedly was moved. That much treasure will not only spare a person from struggle for twenty years but a lifetime.

Gu Fan was rather puzzled: "How can there be so much treasure?"

Ning Qi replied, "It should be from a group of bandits who were at their wits’ end and came here, hiding all the gold, silver and jewels they had robbed. Anyway, I guess it’s our good fortune now." Finishing her sentence, Ning Qi walked over to Gu Fan and tenderly adjusted his clothing.

Gu Fan’s heart fluttered a little, but he knew this was Ning Qi’s ploy. He didn’t fall for it, but he played along, acting as if he was indeed taken with Ning Qi’s beauty, just to see what cards she would play next.
