Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 199 An Indestructible Person

Chapter 199: Chapter 199 An Indestructible Person

Learning from their previous lesson, Zhuo Hang and Su Hui finally got smarter. After capturing the suspect, they arranged for several vehicles to transport the prisoner. They used three times the usual law enforcement force and the officers were armed with live ammunition.

As the police cruisers traveled along the freeway toward headquarters, Su Hui stared at the pitch-black world outside the car window and the dark countryside that surrounded them. Despite their formidable support, she was restless, with an inexplicable feeling that their opponents wouldn’t give up so easily.

"Would they really dare to attack?" Su Hui contemplated all the possible attack scenarios, but none seemed feasible due to the overwhelming force on their side.

The squad car leading the way was speeding along until they saw a man standing upright on the road ahead. Cloaked in a hood with a mask over his face and seemingly unaffected by the car’s headlights, he projected an ominous presence.

The cop car was moving too fast to brake in time, and a collision seemed inevitable.

However, the masked man carried out a simple movement; he raised his fist high and slammed it onto the hood of the cop car approaching him.

What happened next was unbelievable. The cop car rocked violently with the severe impact, the hood deformed, and the entire vehicle flipped over.

The man had set the ground shaking in his first move, leaving the officers in the other cars dumbfounded as they wondered if a human could accomplish such a feat.

A terrifying murderous look descended. The man strode forward, his pace quickening as he approached the second cop car. In one deadly kick, the car was forced backward, crashing into the third police vehicle following behind.

Perceiving how dire the circumstance was, Su Hui hastily gave a command: "Everybody out of the car, seize him."

The police officers, wearing bulletproof vests and armed with guns and batons, began moving towards the man. Given their number and equipment, they had a clear advantage.

Nevertheless, the man ignored everything, continued to march forward with an accelerating pace, and evidently ignored all warnings from the police.

Having no other option, several policemen armed with batons charged at him. The outcome was a complete disaster - they were all sent flying in one hit, landing at least twenty meters away. The sight was so terrifying it made one question if what they were witnessing could be accomplished by a human.

From behind, Su Hui watched unfazed since she had already witnessed Lin Xi’s capabilities. She could accept that the man before her also possessed extraordinary abilities, but his were too horrifying.

Knowing that the perpetrator couldn’t be judged by usual standards, she took aim at his shoulder with her pistol and fired accurately.

Unexpectedly, he walked on unscathed after being shot in the shoulder. He even easily crumbled a shield with his hand, instantly increasing the pressure on Su Hui’s party.

"Keep him away from the police vehicle that holds the prisoner." Su Hui urgently issued an order. Police officers fired in bursts, but a dozen bullets did nothing but annoy the man as if getting scratched.

"No way!" Everyone was shocked and terrified. They involuntarily retreated. What they were facing was not a human but a monster.

Seeing the potential disassembling of the team, Su Hui knew that this could not continue. She decided to take a shot at the man’s head and if her guess was right...

With a loud bang, Su Hui’s bullet hit the man’s head. All he did was momentarily pause before his pace slowed a little. As his wound began to rapidly heal, he continued to barge forward, sending every officer flying, proving to be unstoppable.

"My God, it’s really as I expected..." Su Hui was in disbelief. If Lin Xi could be restrained, this man was utterly unstoppable.

Soon, half the officers fell. Su Hui saw their side collapsing like a mountain being chopped down. As the man approached the vehicle with the prisoner, she was at wit’s end. Suddenly, she thought of a weapon - a fire extinguisher.

Su Hui ran to the frontline with the extinguisher. She sprayed relentlessly at the ferocious man, halting his advance.

The man stopped his stride and covered his eyes. This was what Su Hui had anticipated. Even though he was extremely strong, he still needed his eyes to navigate.

Other officers followed Su Hui’s lead and grabbed extinguishers. The man was soon under heavy fire.

Su Hui instructed the others to hold the man back while she returned to the police vehicle carrying the prisoner. She took over the wheel and attempted a U-turn. She knew that their makeshift solution wouldn’t hold him back for long.

True to her expectation, the man charged at them even under the hail of fire extinguisher spray while in the process of turning the car around. He crushed the fire extinguisher and sent every surrounding officer flying with a few punches and kicks.

By this point, Su Hui managed to complete the turning of the vehicle. She sped off, glancing into the rearview mirror in time to see the man disappearing. All that remained were the officers scattered on the ground. Dread washed over her as she wondered where the man could have vanished.

There was a loud crash on the roof of the car, as if something heavy had landed on it, causing the roof to dent. This terrified Su Hui as well as the three suspects who were turning pale.

"No way!" Quickly thinking on her feet, Su Hui hit the brakes hard, using inertia to throw the man off the roof. Consequently, she saw the man fall clumsily to the ground, rolling several times.

However, Su Hui couldn’t feel any relief, as the man was soon on his feet again, appearing unscathed.

Taking advantage of the man’s unsteady stance, Su Hui stepped hard on the accelerator and rushed towards him. He had just noticed the headlights before being hit and sent flying.

With no time to waste, Su Hui didn’t swerve and keeping up her speed, she charged towards the man.

The man was just about to get up when he was run over. He looked up to see Su Hui driving off into the distance, likely out of his reach.

Looking in the rearview mirror, Su Hui saw the man getting smaller, she seemed to have shaken him off. She heaved a sigh of relief and thought that though a stronger foe existed, there was a way to deal with them.

The three suspects were terrified, trembling in the back. Seizing the moment, Su Hui said to them, "So, they have come to silence you all, are you still thinking of keeping secrets?"

"We’ll talk, we’ll tell everything." Just when the suspects wanted to speak and Su Hui was ready to listen, the car suddenly broke down and stopped.

"Can’t be happening now," Su Hui knew she was in a dire situation as she hadn’t gotten far.

In the urgent situation, Su Hui opened the car door and ran off with the three suspects in different directions. She sternly warned them about where to find her if they happened to survive.

One of the suspects running with Su Hui caught the sound of a scream from another direction, he didn’t dare to think about what had happened.

"I will talk... Cold, woman, company, head boss." The suspect couldn’t finish his sentence when he was suddenly pinned down with an immense force, silence followed.

Turning around, Su Hui saw the man crushing the suspect underfoot, blood seeping from the suspect’s mouth and slowly staining the ground while the man stared back with icy eyes.

"What did you hear?" The man coldly interrogated. Su Hui was shaking furiously, trying to ready herself, but the encounter filled her with dread, the man was no human.

Telling herself again and again that since she put on the police uniform, she had become indifferent to her life and death. She should not be afraid, even if the enemy was not human but a demon. She could not retreat or back down.

With this in mind, Su Hui charged, delivering a series of powerful punches. Each punch was forceful and aggressive.

The man’s eyes reflected scorn, immune to Su Hui’s efforts, making her realize that her efforts were in vain.

A strong hand gripped Su Hui’s throat, hoisting her off the ground. She was helpless against the strength.

At this moment, Su Hui felt her throat squeezed, she had trouble breathing and her face turned red. She felt her neck being crushed, her struggles were in vain.

Just when Su Hui’s life was hanging in balance, a strange force erupted from her body and freed her from the man’s grip.

Barely escaping with her life, Su Hui drew deep breaths. Though she didn’t understand what had happened, she was grateful to be alive.

The man stuck for a moment, then broke into cold laughter: "Qian Ye, you can barely save yourself, let alone her."

Before Su Hui could figure out what was going on, she heard Lin Xi: "Sister Su, what are you waiting for, I can’t hold him back any longer, run!"

Upon hearing these words, Su Hui turned around and ran. She didn’t like the idea of being unable to fight, but under the unique circumstances, she couldn’t afford to care about that.

The man seemed to be bound by a force, standing still, unable to chase after Su Hui. "Su Hui, remember, you are among the few who have caused me some trouble. I will not let you off easily, no matter where you run to."

Far away, in the dead silence of the night, Lin Xi sat on the balcony of her home, facing the bright moon in the night sky, deep in concentration. A faint glow surrounded her as she used her full strength to cast a spell to help Su Hui, eventually hurting herself in the recoil. Lin Xi coughed up blood.

"Oh God, this demon has grown stronger, and my supernatural power has only recovered to sixty percent. How are we supposed to beat him?" Lin Xi wiped the blood from her mouth, a look of concern etched on her face.
