"Eat it or leave it," the maid huffed.

"Yeah, if I were as beautiful as her, I could definitely marry into the nobility," the maid said with a mix of envy and resentment.

Another maid added, "I heard she’s already drawn the attention of Organization X, and many nobles are scheming after her."

"That’s why Helen has so many people guarding her door, afraid the nobles might make their move..." the maid said while she washed the dishes clean and put them away.

Another maid shook her head, "Forget it, we’ll use those again later. Why bother cleaning them now?"

"Yeah, we have to go deliver dinner again later; it’s such a hassle. I really don’t want to make another trip to the third floor," said the maid with an impatient look.

Gu Fan waited until the two maids had left before he came out from the corner, his brow furrowed. From their conversation, he learned one thing. The Eastern beauty Catherine was interested in was on the third floor, and as for which room, there were people guarding the door.

"Thank God I brought it," Gu Fan quickly took a lighter and a cigarette from his pocket. However, he did not use them immediately but instead closed his eyes, adjusted his mindset, and thoroughly visualized the approaching scenes in his mind, carefully considering any potential oversight.

"Alright, let’s move." After waiting a while, Gu Fan finally lit the cigarette and held it high under the smoke detector.

The smoke detector emitted a shrill noise instantly, and the sound permeated the entire mansion of the East Nobles—exactly what Gu Fan wanted.

Just then, the shrill alarm stopped, and Gu Fan quickly hid under the bed, praying internally that his plan would work.
