"Impressive, I underestimated you," Chris snorted coldly, his face turning sour. He feared his plan to take down Lin Yue quickly was going to fail.

Lin Xi cheered from the side, "Little brother, you’re so awesome, I’m proud of you, Older Sister."

"Thanks, but Older Sister, look at the situation we’re in right now, could you please be serious?" Lin Yue got into position to strike, struggling to handle even one vampire, let alone so many.

Chris glanced at Lin Xi, then at Gu Fan, wondering if these two really intended to just stand by and not get involved.

Regardless, if he couldn’t capture Lin Yue now, it would be even less likely later. Chris bellowed, "What are you waiting for, capture him alive, quickly!"

Xue Jun was the first to strike, using speed to his advantage, landing a heavy punch on Lin Yue before he could react, sending him flying backward, blood spraying wildly.

At this scene, Lin Xi slammed the table, "Don’t you go too far!"

Hearing the warning in her voice, Chris turned pale with fright and hastily retreated a few steps, keeping his distance from Lin Xi. However, it was no use, Lin Xi’s murderous glare was enough to intimidate.

In Lin Yue’s heart, Lin Xi had always been just an ordinary person. He was afraid she might provoke the vampires and end up being eaten alive.

Just as Lin Xi and Gu Fan were about to act together, Lin Yue, who had been lying on the ground, suddenly leaped up, catching the vampires off guard with this move.

"Roll away!" Lin Yue punched one vampire into the air and kicked another vampire back.

Lin Yue resolved the crisis cleanly and beautifully, but he wondered why there were only two vampires attacking him when he had felt several were coming for him.

When Lin Yue took note of the surroundings, he realized the reason Xue Jun hadn’t killed him was that they were blocked by Gu Fan.

At that moment, Gu Fan had his fists raised, ready to fight with Xue Jun, but he turned back and stared blankly at Lin Yue, seemingly not expecting Lin Yue to stand up again.

"Be careful, Gu Fan!" Lin Yue rushed over, directly pulling Gu Fan behind him and added, "I really appreciate your dedication, but you’re not like me. You’ve seen it, these guys are not something ordinary people can deal with."

"Listen to me, Gu Fan, you should run away. I really appreciate that you stayed to save my older sister despite the danger, but unless you’re as strong as me, staying here will only cause more trouble." Lin Yue’s gaze was fixed on every move Xue Jun made, completely missing the astonished look on Gu Fan’s face behind him.

With a cold glance and a threatening look in her phoenix eyes, Lin Xi scared Chris into silence, who didn’t even dare to breathe heavily.

It made no sense, Lin Xi didn’t seem like a hostage at all, but with the situation urgent, Lin Yue didn’t have the luxury to care about that and rushed forward.

Xue Jun made a desperate effort to intercept, with several vampires attacking from different directions, aiming to take down Lin Yue in one fell swoop.

Seeing Lin Xi unharmed, Lin Yue was surprised and then remembered someone else, "Right, what about Gu Fan..."

As Lin Yue turned around, he was shocked to see Gu Fan, with an intense Qi, punching a vampire hard enough to send it flying through a wall and out of the unfinished building.
