Chapter 1193: Chapter 1193: One More Formidable Than the Other
"It’s been a while since I’ve fought, feels a bit rusty." Gu Fan casually rubbed his fists, loosening up his limbs, looking eager to go.
The two other vampires gritted their teeth and stomped their feet, then mustered their courage to attack from both sides. But as soon as they lunged, Gu Fan repelled them with a punch and a kick, sending them tumbling to the ground, their sharp fangs knocked out.
Lin Yue watched, dumbstruck. With his own abilities, he could barely handle one vampire, yet Gu Fan easily took on two.
On the side, Chris showed an ugly expression, "Just like the rumors, as formidable as ever. I made a miscalculation this time. I shouldn’t have provoked you."
Gu Fan smiled faintly, "Oh, what do you mean? Are you apologizing, or surrendering and admitting defeat?"
The Xue Jun were not pleased, "Admit defeat? Impossible! How could we, the noble Xue Clan, ever surrender? You’re dreaming!"
"Then no more nonsense, let’s hurry up and fight." Gu Fan beckoned, signaling for the opponent to come at him, his demeanor screaming confidence. After all, if even Xue Wang and Lord Xiong couldn’t take down Gu Fan, what chance did the Xue Jun have?
The Xue Jun snorted coldly and attacked directly, going all out with such speed that Gu Fan couldn’t even react.
"My God, so fast!" Gu Fan instinctively saw a blur before his eyes, followed by a heavy blow. Its force was only slightly less than that of Xue Wang.
Gu Fan was sent flying, crashing to the ground hard, which worried Lin Yue. Lin Yue wanted to help, but then noticed that the Xue Jun had turned their attention to him.
The Xue Jun roared, "Forget Gu Fan, seize the moment to take down this brat!"
"What do you mean!" Lin Yue saw the malevolent looks from all the vampires around him, and immediately felt annoyed, sensing he was being treated like a push-over.
Just as the vampires were about to act, they suddenly became panicked and dared not advance.
Lin Yue was puzzled, not understanding what these vampires were afraid of. Then he saw someone standing by his side—it was a relaxed and composed Su Hui.
"Sister Su, you’ve come! So that means..." Lin Yue was surprised. Su Hui’s presence meant she had won, which implied Sister Hong had lost.
Now was not the time to think of other things. Lin Yue focused on the vampires and said, "Sister Su, be careful. These guys aren’t ordinary people; they’re vampires."
"I don’t care what they are, I’ll beat them up first." Su Hui’s lips curled upward, seemingly thrilled to have found worthy opponents.
On the other side, Gu Fan got back up, touched his chin, feeling a bit of pain, and then set his sights on the Xue Jun, waving his fists as he rushed over for revenge.
Seeing the Xue Jun under attack, the vampires immediately turned to help the Xue Jun, gradually forming an encirclement against Gu Fan.
Watching Gu Fan handle several vampires at once, barely keeping up, Lin Yue couldn’t help but admire him, and then said, "Sister Su, did you see that? Gu Fan’s strength is so incredible; it seems that he was just letting you win before."
"Is that so?" Su Hui smiled faintly, then stepped forward slowly, her every step making the vampires extremely nervous.
Just as Lin Yue was about to dissuade her, he was shocked to see Su Hui vanish on the spot, her speed inconceivably fast.
Su Hui joined the battle group, delivering punches and kicks with swift movements and explosive power, her ever-changing moves were hard for the vampires to defend against.
Seeing Su Hui fighting so valiantly, single-handedly chasing and pummeling vampires, completely overturned Lin Yue’s perception, leaving him thoroughly dumbfounded, "No way, Sister Su is too good at fighting."
With Gu Fan and Su Hui working together, except for the Xue Jun, the other vampires were directly sent flying out of the center of the battlefield.
"I rank fifth in the strength of the Xue Clan, and you two think you can take me on?" Xue Jun lost it, landing three consecutive punches on Gu Fan and then forcing Su Hui back with a powerful kick.
Su Hui didn’t know how many steps she retreated; she had used her arms to block Xue Jun’s kick, and they were aching terribly.
Gu Fan, even with Vajra Body Protection, wasn’t feeling good either, sporting deep fist marks on his body and traces of blood at the corner of his mouth.
"Alright, Xue Jun, stop fighting, we’ve already lost our chance, let’s retreat quickly," Chris said, sensing that the situation was dire and finding no point in a struggle of pride.
But Xue Jun had lost his reason, his muscles swelling as his strength increased further, then he roared like thunder and charged at Gu Fan with large strides.
"Alright then, let’s see if you can do what Xue Wang couldn’t," Gu Fan steadied his fighting spirit, pushed his Vajra Body Protection to the max, and took on the ferocious assault head-on.
Su Hui coordinated with Gu Fan, attacking Xue Jun from another direction to alleviate the pressure on Gu Fan at the front.
Chris, seeing that Xue Jun was holding his own against two opponents, Gu Fan and Su Hui, knew that it was no longer possible to simply call off the fight and hurriedly commanded the other vampires to deal with Lin Yue, hoping for a slim chance of turning the tides.
"Come on, I’m not afraid of you," Lin Yue said as five vampires charged at him, his lack of nervousness was indeed strange.
Just as the five vampires bared their fangs and pounced on Lin Yue like wild beasts, suddenly an invisible wall stood in front of Lin Yue, sending the vampires reeling with stars in their eyes and forcing them to stagger back.
"A protective barrier?" Chris exclaimed in surprise, his gaze moving to the smiling Lin Xi standing protected behind Lin Yue.
Lin Yue also perceived the anomaly, turned his head, and saw Lin Xi smiling radiantly; it seemed he realized something – that his sister might not be so simple after all.
Chris bit his teeth in frustration, his complexion sour, "You finally couldn’t help but intervene."
"Of course! How could I possibly watch idly as you take my brother away and then threaten me?" Lin Xi’s words were light and carefree, but they felt off to Lin Yue’s ears. It was supposed to be Lin Xi who was captured, Lin Yue was threatened and came to rescue, yet now it seemed as if the roles had reversed.
"Forget it, let’s all go at once!" Five vampires charged together, but with a single spell from Lin Xi, a gust of Strong Wind blew them all away.
Seeing Lin Xi reveal this trick, Lin Yue was astonished, his confidence shaken, "What does this mean? How come each of you is more formidable than the other? Don’t tell me I’m the weakest here."
Seeing no hope left, Chris quickly turned tail and ran. Reaching downstairs, he bumped into Sister Hong, who had arrived. There was no time to reproach Sister Hong for her mess-up; escape came first.
Only then did Sister Hong realize what sort of people she had provoked and scurried away dejectedly.
Xue Jun and the other vampires slightly delayed the pursuit of Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Lin Xi, buying a bit of time for Chris to escape the scene. Then, utilizing their speed, the vampires scattered and vanished into the boundless night.
